After reading all the comments there’s a few noteworthy secrets I haven’t seen be mentioned yet. - Having the sponge item while speaking to Professor Goopton makes his text readable - Speaking to Tonic with 5000+ credits will have him extort 90% of them to buy a “new coat”. When you return he will have a yellow coat of fur and become Super Tonic! Which has no real benefit outside of looking cooler - Approaching the Sell Creep as the bullet will cause him to cringe as he is canonical Agunim from the bullet’s past. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think having the paradox take the shape of the bullet also triggers this. - Relating to the black market demon door, there’s a small chance the door will change to a shocked expression with large eyes while entering. (I thought it was related to co op but according to the wiki that’s not the case) - There’s a hidden boss called the Door Lord who has a 1.333% chance to replace any boss on floors 2, 3, or 4. He’s a mimic version of the boss skull door and can provide a pretty tough challenge if you don’t know what to expect. If you’re having trouble finding him he’ll always spawn on floor 3 of boss rush as the final room. - If you speak to Patches and Mendy as the robot, since he cannot be healed they will either give you junk, a piece of armor, or the bottle item alongside some unique dialogue. - Killing the bullet king but not his advisor will cause him to appear scheming with the beholster if you get him as your floor 2 boss, or alternatively the Blobulord if you go to the oubliette. Also a few little nitpicky corrections: battery bullets buff accuracy not dmg, once unlocking Junkan he can spawn as a 1% drop chance but will also be added to the C tier (blue chest) loot pool. Overall a great video man, I’ve 100%ed this game and put hundreds of hours of my life into it and I didn’t even know some of these. (Like who tf thought to shoot the black market door with water?!?) If you made it this far into my nerd ramblings I just wanna say keep up the great work man, and hope ya have a good day :>

Ah, I remember being addicted to this game last summer and getting 100% on it (finished gun) and clocking in 200+ hours on the game. The only things I didn’t get/see were the High Dragunfire and Old Man NPC. On a side note, there are a few things not brought up in this video that I would like to shed some light on. 1. Using the teleported prototype item has a small chance to teleport you to an eyeball room, which is exactly as it sounds. A dark room with a massive eyeball in the center that follows you. 2. Ser Manuel can be rarely found in secret rooms in a “Monster Manuel” persona, which is Ser Manuel but in an owl costume. He will give the player a random item/gun. (Note he can only spawn after you killed Blockner.) 3. Minibosses, these being enemies that are on par with bosses but do not spawn in a boss room at all, rather their own room that is generated differently based on the miniboss inhabiting it. The three minibosses I know of are the Shadow Magician, Fuselier, and Blockner (Ghost version, this one can only spawn after you’ve already killed him). 4. Door Lord boss! Surprised this wasn’t covered in this video, but its just like a normal boss that randomly replaces a normal boss in its room on the Gungeon Proper, Black Powder Mine, or Hollow. It even has a special animation showing the Door Lord freeing itself from the boss room entry door and coming into the arena. Pretty cool. (This boss also shows up in the boss rush.) 5. Wall Mimics. Exactly as they sound, mimics that are walls. Pretty rare chance of spawning and even rarer that you actually find it because you have to, A. Shoot the wall the mimic is residing in or, B. Run against the wall the mimic is in. It will free itself from the wall leaving a gaping whole then attack the player and it has its own attacks as well. 6. Gripmaster. The gripmaster enemy has a low chance of pulling out a pistol and attacking in all directions upon being killed, it will then need to be killed like a normal enemy. Well, that’s all I remember and wanted to bring up here. I wouldn’t be surprised if we both missed a few secrets here and there, this game is just so amazing and detailed man.

... 0_0 🤯 wow, Sir Jiggle, this is impressive and comprehensive! Thanks for listing these out! @sirjiggle59082 жыл бұрын
@@JeuelyFish I can’t blame you for forgetting/not being able to find footage for some of these, all of these have a really low chance of spawning aside from minibosses which are fairly common… and no problem bro glad to pass some knowledge on from one gungeoneer to another. OH, and two more things I need to mention. So if you have rainbow mode enabled, bowler won’t let you have any item/gun drops or chests, right? Well… that is the case, EXCEPT if you happen to be lucky enough to find a rainbow chest in the wild! He won’t be sitting on top of it and you’re free to open it. That’s not the cool part though, what’s interesting is that rainbow chests have a chance of appearing as a low quality brown chest. Normally, bowler would just sit on it and prevent you from taking the rewards. HOWEVER, if it just so happens that you’re lucky enough to find a rainbow chest that’s disguised whilst in rainbow mode, bowler will not be on top of the brown chest, giving it away that it’s a rainbow. Additionally, there is a chance that bowler has a special chest-topping animation aside from his normal sitting one. I’ve only seen it once so I imagine it’s pretty rare as well. The chest and himself will be engulfed in flames while bowler is floating above the chest with a massive grin. My man really hates everything that isn’t rainbow, goddamn xD

I'm a bit late, but here's a few things I haven't seen anyone mention: While looking at the map, the Yellow Chamber's chambers may blink, and it may also melt away to reveal an eye. (The Yellow chamber is an S tier passive item that gives 2 heart containers, 2 curse, +15% fire rate, and charms an enemy when entering a room). The path through the Resourceful Rat's lair is different per system, but the same between save files. However, on the Nintendo Switch the path is always the same, regardless of system. (The path is always down, right, down, up, down, up). If you have the Mimic Tooth Necklace, the rat chests at the end of the Resourceful Rat's Lair won't all be mimics. Instead a googly-eyed Union Mimic Chest will be there to explain the situation. (The Mimic Tooth Necklace is an A tier passive item that turns all chests and item pedestals into mimics). The damage bonus The Robot gets from junk also works with lies and gold junk. You will keep the damage bonus even if you drop your junk. Synergy chests can also be rainbow chests. The chest will drop 8 items that may or may not synergize with your inventory. There is no way to tell if a synergy chest is also a rainbow chest until it is opened. The Galactic Medal of Valor is brought with you when you enter a character's past. If brought into the Marine's, you get the "Decorated" synergy, making it the only synergy that can be made in a past. (The galactic Medal of Valor is a B tier passive item that increases damage by 30% to bosses, halves reload time, and halves shot spread). The Directional Pad has two motion input special attacks: Left, left, fire - shoots a hook which can be used to steal or quickly relocate. Down, right, fire - shoots a fireball that deals high damage. The Muncher has recipes. Here are some vague examples: A normal revolver + an ice weapon = Cold 45. Any crossbow + a magic weapon = Crescent Crossbow. Either "hand" weapon + a normal machine gun = Machine Fist. Any hand/fist weapon + a poison weapon = Mutation. Bee Hive + R.P.G. = Stinger. The Flame Hand varies in damage from ~4.8 to ~18.6, and the probability of the different damage values follows a bell curve. When playing as The Bullet, the gun deals 1 less damage, but when playing as The Robot, the gun deals 1 more damage. You can look away to avoid The Gorgun's stone gaze attack. Brown chests are the best.

Potentially helpful for people trying to reach the Abbey of the True Gun (2nd secret floor): Not all rooms are equally likely to have the altar room adjacent to them. The altar room is very likely to spawn next to "special" rooms, such as treasure rooms, shops, and rooms with other npc's next to them. If you see an NPC icon on the map or a blocked off path indicating a chest room, try going in that direction first to increase your chances of finding the altar room early.

My biggest criticism of this game remains how much it wasted it's own potential in some ways. Most of us butted our heads up against the wall a fair amount until the game clicked and I had a blast going around trying to access the hidden content in the game. But everyone I know that tried to play the game just gave up because of how frustrating the barrier to entry was for them, which I can fully understand. That combined with how the game expects you to spend hours looking things up on the wiki just to then go and attempt to access content tucked away in runs always leaves a sour mark on my affection for the game. It's a great game, with even more going for it than most people know, but those people will never know because it kept that content unnecessarily obscured or just too difficult for the average player to get near

A couple tips about rainbow mode: It's *always* worth doing the secret floors, since every secret floor is a new rainbow chest to choose from. Additionally, it's worth challenging the Resourceful Rat in this mode. While you don't get anything from the cheese chests, you DO get to keep any items he drops while you beat him up in phase 3. This can easily double your total items for the run. And if you see clone, grab it. Best item in the game hands down.

Some minor details about the Resourceful Rat Lair 1) you need to first build the Bullet that can Kill the Past for the Gnawed Key to spawn 2) for some unknown reason walking instead of riding the mine cart inside the trapdoor gets you to the end much faster, also as if the tunnel is artificially longer while riding it

Great video. I bought Enter the Gungeon on a PS+ sale about 5-6 years ago for $4.99 even though I have never been great at bullet hell games and it was one of those games that I'd play every now and then in between more traditional rpg games like the Witcher or something. Now here I am, finally really getting into the game and trying to 100% it and being just amazed at how much stuff is in it - point is that Enter the Gungeon is the best 5 bucks I've ever spent on a game.

Overall Really well made video! I knew of most of these already but it still entertained me from start to finish, And something you probably didn't miss but decided to not put in was the secret eyeball room which is a rare room found by using the Teleporter prototype with nothing but a giant eyeball that stares at you. One of my personal favorite rooms

The Rainbow Chest was one of those secrets that happened to me before I even knew how rare it was. I got curious as to why I hadn't seen it before and why I hadn't seen it since and looked it up. Now it feels like a shiny pokemon event before you knew what they were, didn't even realize how lucky you were.

2 things I reccomend if you're having trouble with completing a blessed run, gunslinger activates nearly every synergy in the game for every gun on pick up, and can therefore make just about any gun incredibly powerful. Especially guns with multiple synergies, like the cactus. Second thing would be to just do rainbow runs any time you're doing a blessed run, as rainbow chests always drop 4 guns and four passive/active items. These can be absolutely game changing items like the gundromeda strain
@ameliajales5307 Жыл бұрын
Eh the strain isn’t really all that good, if anything taking items that boost damage or grant special effects is better, metronome is a good example because when your gun changes in a blessed run you don’t lose the metronome bonus.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already but when you go to use blanks to open the 2 walls leading to the rat, you can run on the tracks instead and the travel distance is actually shorter for some reason.

Trivia: While the keys the rat drops in the punch-out phase are nearly useless in rainbow runs, all the bonus guns and items he also drops can still be picked up.
@ameliajales5307 Жыл бұрын
Using them on the chests does still unlock each chest’s respective items for future runs though.

I think the small interactions make this game one of the greatest of all time. When you ask the blacksmith a bullet to kill the past as the gunslinger she says "never been happier to make one of these"

This video is fucking amazing. It shows all the useful secrets and helps new gungeoneers to 100% this game in around... 2 months at least. Though, I have some tips that were missed: *ROOMS:* - The abbey _usually_ has the most obvious secret rooms, if you get to see a chest room always shoot the walls theres a good chance you might get a secret room and if not, you can waste ya bullets on the other rooms. - Alternatively you can use your armor to break the first secret wall but only do this if youre that desperate. - R n G department is 75% useless, it rarely gives good guns and could be a huge gamble for new players. (But if youre a loot goblin like me then go ham) *NPCs:* - You can steal 1 cursula items so that the curse will only be 1 instead of 2 - VAMPIRE MONEY, fuck yo health. *Bing bong* - You can on cheat winchester games using a flying item (there are lots and i cant name em all), where you can fly inside the shooting range and get stupid close to the targets to pop them and you will still get a S tier / A tier item despite cheating. Extra tip if you finished the game: - The finished gun can be found on brown chests since the game still counts it as an unfinished gun and its ridiculous. Thats all the tips i can give, good luck gungeoneers.

More advice for people trying to navigate bullet hell, as someone who has done it so many times beyond what I can count, I’ve learned the typical room generation. The first section is a gamble, take one of the first three doors and if it’s a dead end just take one of the other two, which are guaranteed to be not dead ends. When you reach the branching path with two doors, take the one that looks like it’s moving away from where the other path would meet up from the starting room. When you get to the room with three doors, you’re in section two. I always take the middle door in between the other two which is guaranteed to link up to one of them. You can start to see if it is moving in a direction closer to the other door, and as soon as you can tell, go back to the start of section 2 and take the door that it isn’t moving towards. From then on it’s mostly just luck, but you may be able to tell if one of the paths in section 3 has enough room to be the lich boss path based on the map. And if you take a path from section 3 and you’re in the second room and see there’s another door, you know you’re on the right path, doesn’t matter much but it’s nice to know. That all may have been pretty confusing, but I hope I got it across.
@ameliajales5307 Жыл бұрын
I’m not reading all of that, you lost me on the branching path of 2 doors.

Only thing I think was missed was the golden gloves you can unlock by beating the punch out rat phase without any damage. Also there is a “mechanic” to help beat the punch out phase. If you are playing as the gun slinger you can chain your attacks in a way that basically forces the rat into a predictable punch pattern that makes beating him very very easy! Great video :^)
@MarshallLeeFlames Жыл бұрын
OMG, I just realized that the footage you took for the Resourceful Rat Lair maze with the notes it's ALMOST the same as mine. The difference is that the second note for me is left. So, we nailed the Resourceful Rat lair just by one. Down, left (right for you), up, down, left and left.

Tip for blobulon's splitting attack: if you run to the opposite corner (or just any corner for the middle spot) you can avoid the attack in it's entirety. Just be sure to dodge roll if any get too close, it's not 100% safe.

I have a neat interaction between the Resorceful Rat and an Item: So, I was playing a run to get to the rat and and I found the "teeth collar" that gives a lot of Mimics. When I defeated the Rat, in the chest room there was a Mimic with googly eyes that basically said "nah man, you aren't going to find Mimics here"

After the first time you extinguish the fire for the oubliette there will always be a water barrel in the fireplace room unless you get astronomically unlucky. Also going to the oubliette is almost always worth it, an extra floor of chests and boss items and bullet casings really helps by the end of the run even if you have to skip a chest or two in the first floor.

So I'll just say this now it's off topic (but i've been meaning to talk about this for months but put it off). Ok there is a glitch I've discovered a few years ago with the paradox and cultist. As you probably all know you can't drop your starter items well the paradox can since his items aren't considered starting items but just normal items. Going in to the meat and potatoes how the glitch works is you go in to multi player and drop your starting item as paradox and pick up the item with the cultists (you'll see that the icon that the paradox had next to your items is gone) now die as paradox and you'll see that the item is back duplicating the item now you can revive paradox giving you the same item you just threw (this can be done indefinitely). It gets better you can actually reroll what paradox has by giving his starting item to player 2 and saving and quiting and on the next floor when he dies you can check your items and bam he now has a new starting item (you can duplicate that too). If any one has any questions feel free to ask I'll just go in to some miscellaneous for now though. It doesn't work with guns. I think that the reason this happens is because the game characterizes the class your playing as your starting item hence why you can't throw your item so when you have no starting item and revive the game goes oh you should have this and gives you another. Important I play on PS4 so this might not work for other platforms (I'm interested to see if it does)

Small bit of weird info as well, but if your on a high curse run, the small rats can be jammed, and sometimes drop a shell casing if killed. I'm unsure if they damage you on hit like jammed chickens, but I would assume so.

I'd just like to say, winning the punch out fight out of the rat battles is by far one of my favorite things to do in a run. Just soooo much fun and I felt so triumphant when I finally KO'd him. That being said, good informative video on a game I've happily spent hundreds of hours getting the platinum for and by far one of the hardest. Edit: I also want to note to anyone who doesn't know, if you have an item that grants flight you can cheat Winchesters game by flying up to the targets (;

An oubliette is a tiny, tiny ass room used to imprison the people you would basically forget about. Left there to struggle until they die.
