Great news altogether! 😃 Can't believe you never had your thyroid check. I went to the GP for depression and they did a blood screen of everything from vitamin D to celiac disease, just to see. I was also hypo but after 5 years they eased me off the meds because it kinda figured itself out. Love the idea for Irish immersion!

I am a thyroid issue sufferer and after I found out about this I was told by a dietician that with my thyroid in the state it was in, I would never have been able to fall pregnant. I am so glad they found the reason. Congrats to you, Alex ans Millie xxx

While so frustrating that you possibly waited so much longer than necessary if they had just checked thyroid sooner, I am happy that maybe this means that if you two want to have more than one child, the next one won't be quite as much of a challenge. I just saw a short the other day of a dog, a young lab, who would not go for a walk without her human mum. Once her mum had the baby, she is upset if the baby goes for a walk without her. Now it is the baby she will not leave

Yes. Animals are amazing. I introduced my baby to my dog. I let her sniff him and look at him and she became his life long friend . She died when she was 15. Animals are wonderful but damn it, they are heart breakers.

I had back pain like crazy in both pregnancies and what really helped was those tubigrip bandages - like what you’d get for a sprained ankle, turns out you can get them for your torso 😂 defo recommend the pregnancy physio though, they’ll give you some handy tips for things like getting out of bed and out of a chair in the later stages when you start to resemble a Pilates ball with legs 😄

Congratulations!!! A word of advice. Get your sleep now since you're likely to be a bit sleep deprived after the little one arrives. The info about the thyroid is interesting. My wife and I tried for seven years. In the end, it was found she had a low level of a hormone. One shot and a leer and she was pregnant. Congratulations again. You two will do fine.
