Tudor Revival homes were built to evoke homes from the 16th century. Their furnishings reflected this via early 20th century styles like Jacobean Revival. Tudor Revival homes in the 1920's and 30's had modern amenities, but they were intentionally disguised. Things like radios and telephones were hidden in period looking cabinets designed for the purpose. The intent wasn't to make rooms in these homes "museum" rooms, it was to create an illusion that people found charming then, and still do today. I don't see the point in filling a Tudor Revival home with furnishings that look like they came off the Starship Enterprise. It looks as strange to me as would a sleek, modern home, furnished with primitive antiques.
