Since we went from one place to another everyday, we see NO forced labour, concentration camps😂😂😂or the most laughable one Genocide as alleged😂😂😂😂😂. We even talked to some of them asking about those allegations - All said no such thing and laughed at our questions 😂😂😂 US/Western Media/government are all full of LIES as all those allegations are manufactured to demonize China - How EVIL 😮

I'm a fan of both you guys, and Cyrus Janssen , since 2020. In June 2023, I had a discussion about Xinjiang geniocide by China with a British journalist and her husband who's based in Hong Kong. We were invited for dinner in their apartment in Hong Kong along with two others from Belgium and Spain. I was the only Chinese. After a few bottles of wine, we all sat and talked and the subject drifted to the Chinese genocide of Uyghurs in Xinjiang. I said it's all fake news and there's no such thing as I've been watching all of Daniel Dumbrill's videos and how he debunked the propoganda about it. I mean, they are journalists and they are spreading the lies. I mentioned Dumbrill's name. The British journalist said, " He's ( Daniel) the worst! Very pro-China!". They seem to be watching your videos as well. I defended Daniel Dumbrill and showed him your video of the Uyghur Tersenay woman who worked for CIA, but he refused to watch it. Then I showed him the farce video of the Uyghur Tribunal. They only mentioned the final conclusion of the tribunal, which places China as committing genocide, but no concrete evidence. Then the wife said she went to Taiwan and asked people about how they felt about Reuniting with China. The wife is an Indian Journalist. She said Taiwanese want independance and refused to be part of China. She asked 2 people who could not speak good English. I've been to Taiwan and I speak Taiwanese. The larger number of people I spoke to admires China and wants reunification. So who would you believe? An Indian journalist who doesn't speak Chinese and asked only 2 people? Or a Chinese who speaks the language and asks even more people? The many Taiwanese who works in Hong Kong also wants reunification.By the way, I have lived in Hong Kong for the last 15 years and visit Mainland China very often. I'm Malaysian Chinese and my wife is HK Chinese who, unfortunately, actually believes this crap as well. A lot of genocide subjects were discussed during the dinner but I can tell I was going nowhere. Their minds are made up. Real truth is not welcome. I was never invited again! Sorry for the long winded comment. Sometimes, when I'm angry, I get carried away. I've made it a point to visit Xinjiang in 2025.

I feel you buddy, it’s like talking to a brick and just want to tell you I was that brick once who argued with my friends on this on the opposite side. And it did took like 2 decades for me to open my eyes, however I do have to thank the videos from folks like Daniel, Jerry, hot pot kind and Brian who took their own free time to do these videos to break down the brainwashing propaganda. Also it’s because your journalist friend’s job depends on her believing the narrative or else she will be fired. It’s toe the line or be on the firing line.

@George-k6o9t2 күн бұрын
I know EXACTLY what you mean - about those who have made up their minds about some things even though they are SUPPOSED to be IMPARTIAL and OBJECTIVE as journalists. I have some members of my own family - Malaysian Chinese but so thoroughly indoctrinated in British and American propaganda that it is impossible to present the truth to them. They live in the U.S. while I don't although I have visited them multiple times over the course of the passing decades. One brother goes into a wild frenzy of nonsensical accusations about China with zero evidence or tries to change the topic by bringing up the errors committed by Mao over SEVENTY years ago, talking as though the Chairman is still alive today and the Cultural Revolution is an on-going affair. The last time he visited China was some THIRTY years ago - about twenty years AFTER Nixon's recognition of China which was still starting to develop and modernize. He harbours visions of OLD China back then to this day as though nothing has changed from the 1970s. He lives in a hate-filled time warp and I have refused to communicate with him ever more these past 7 years. Another sister has become so Americanized that she eats and breathes Americana while supporting the GOP to death day because our parents, now long departed, once supported Ronald Reagan. Another case of being stuck in a time capsule with the clock stopped. She refuses to discuss politics because it "stresses her out" and so, refuses at the same time to recognize other perspectives. Yes, she voted for Trump "because she claims she trusts him". So, what can one do in cases such as these except hope that unraveling events will change their minds - one day, if ever? Their indoctrination and brainwashing has been complete by the system which I escaped from as I did not join them in living in the U.S. nor affected by their Hollywood movies and mainstream media forming the largest and most pervasive b-s machine on this planet. It appears that the world of "1984" - George Orwell's view of a dystopian future of thought control is here already in the U.S.
@maxyang7919Күн бұрын
I see it this way: there is a saying in Chinese, taking people's livelihood away is like killing their parents, so you debunking the journalists is, from their perspective, taking their livelihood away from them, of course they're gonna fight it because it is then like killing their parents. So you can't argue with these people. Just tell them what Daniel said, apparently the side committing these crimes is saying come and take a look yourselves while the other side making these accusations is like no don't go just trust me. All is said and nothing more to say about Xinjiang.

China's problems are for Chinese to resolve. We are all aware of the west's history in China any reasonable person wouldn't want the west anywhere near China and that's where I think the conversation should stay and that should be the emphasis. The saying if you are explaining you are losing. It's people in the west that should be doing the explaining. The problem is people give those in the west too much credibility...they have none. Even if China has force labour problem it's for the Chinese to resolve, just like it is for American to resolve their own prison labour problem, don't give them credence in defending against the accusation. It's like how people pushed back against the Iraq war, rather than the position it's none of America's business whether Iraq had WMD or not people were explaining that Iraq didn't have WMD and that gives them legitimacy. The US has WMDs so what right did it have to stop another country from having WMDs and that should be the angle of addressing these issues. Like Daniel said they always leave a wiggle room for themselves to say "oopsie" and you have to make sure they don't have that by ending the conversation at the root.

Many years ago I got to know an Uighur girl studying English in my country. In fact she was introduced to me by another Chinese girl. Both of them were earning part time money by accompanying us guys to eat & drink. This Uighur lass is quite pretty with her exotic look but a staunch Muslim. She won't drink any liquor nor touch any pork dishes. And no hanky panky business. I respected her stance & only brought her to join my friends during our outings who also must respected her religious belief. Nevertheless she always insisted on only me to send her back as she still dun trust my friends becoz they liked to tease her all the times. But one thing I dun like her stance is that she stubbornly refused to consider herself as a China citizen. Even my friends questioned her why then she is still holding a Chinese ID & passport? Other than that, we found her to be quite a nice young lady & liked to bring her along during our nights out.

With the new 10-days transit visa free policy, China should put Xinjiang tourism booths at those entry airports to attract foreign visitors. Offer them some kind of flight, train, hotel discounts and DIY travel suggestions that could fit into the 10-days. One urgent to-do action: private enterprises in China should be told that not hiring qualified Uighur workers because they are afraid of smears and western retaliation is illegal. The more Uighur people work and live in other provinces, mingling with the rest of the Chinese people, the more they can be powerful rebuttals against the smearing of China's ethnic minority policies. China often offers preferential bonus benefits to the minority tribes, such as entrance requirements to university degree programs..

By the way, what is the Western definition of "forced labour"? Are guns or knives being used to force the workers to work?

After 9/11 Middle Eastern looking folks faced outright discrimination, and extra scrutiny at airports also. The US just does a good job at explaining the necessary needs of these actions. The US gov addresses the people through the media. China and Russia does a horrible job at this by remaining silent and allowing the West to dictate the conversation. For example the US would have taken the Uyghur force labor claims and show how its actually a massive employment programs. Get into the wider stories by highlighting individuals success stories.
