The magic that is in Anais' voice is inbetween the phrasing. Just enough room to let the echo breathe. The story telling takes you with her dreams. And while this next piece is wrong to make comparisons, Anais could be another mother's daughter of Leonard Cohen. It's somewhere in those jeans! She is so beautiful and disarming, especially when she always looks to her friend at her side as if to ask his acknowledgement. Anais doesn't need it. Ever!

To me, Anais, and her music, is akin to the most wholesome of meals. In the way my Grandmother used to cook ... homely and delicious but with just the right amount of refinement without it being pretentious. Like some Michelin Star Restaurant course with lashings of rustic charm. The kind of food stuff which looks so good yet tastes even better. Anais' music is totally real but mystical at the same time. I adore Anais. She is my favourite female artist of the last two decades. I have had the pleasure of seeing her perform a few times over in the UK, and even managed a wee word with her at a gig in Bakewell Derbyshire, where I gave her a caricature I had drawn in exchange for a signed poster ( which still has pride of place, framed on my living room wall ) I am extremely excited about her upcoming album and hope to catch her at one of her UK gigs again. AMAZING song, beautifully performed and magically accompanied by Mike on sax.

Great composition by these two. Mitchell’s voice is so honest. Loved the part where she and the subdued sax do identical runs.

Reminds me of your show at The Basement in Nashville. So raw and intimate. Your vocal tone blends so perfectly with the sax, at first in the recorded version I didn’t realize you were singing along, all the instruments on that melody blend together so perfectly.

Wow just goes to show you that KZbin followers mean nothing. She is a genius creator and has a Broadway Show and only 9k followers on KZbin.
