Beautiful Child thank you. I'd been watching another let's play from an earnest young man who covered every base and put me to sleep. I just bought this game tonight. I've read every Robert E. Howard Conan story, all the De Camp and Lin and Jordan too and probably every comic published till 1986. And yes, I watched Arnold and Ralf and Jason and a lot of the animated too. My fascination is not casual. Then you came along sounding like my best girl, Alice, with a character who looked like her, just kicking ass for two-plus hours (I'm not done yet) and Exiles finished downloading. My weekend is already too short. Subscribed.

Another little trick I noticed - If you have a broken weapon on your hot bar and you have the mats available (Stone, branches and twine in the case of daggers lol) your can repair them by pressing the corresponding hot bar number on you computer. I'm really enjoying this video so far it's like watching a playthrough of a game I know but with totally different methods. I'm tempted to start my Exiled lands adventure from scratch just to see how far I get.

@@protocolpalpatine I think if you're just starting, you're pretty well protected from the issues. It seems to be tier 4 crafters that have gone missing, and pre-existing barkeepers. So glad you're enjoying the game. It is wonderful, in spite of its issues 🙌

I do enjoy Conan Exiles, I find myself coming back to it time and again over the years. Love creative mode as I love building, in particular castles. I enjoy the exploration, and having companions with quests is great. I enjoy the idea of a more living breathing world, I have nile river boats installed along with one for settlements. Kind of like Sepermeru, which is nice. Love the mods you can get, although the updates do mess with them a fair bit. Also better understanding of load order, or something integrated would be good. Lately some mods really not playing nicely together, but yea I really like the game. It reminds me of Skyrim and Witcher, in all the best and worst ways. I generally play single player as my friends are not into the game, did try a ERP server for a little bit until it shut down, due to people gettinmg busy in life or moving on to other games. So now just mostly me and I, so I can play how I like. But living settlements does make it feel less lonley.

Well so far, I haven't had any problems with the update and it has to be said I admire the way you don't follow all the recommended Journey steps - I'm even more impressed with the jump into a forward roll move I will be trying that next time I log on - excellent alternative way to get started! Incidentally, If you're familiar with the Hyenas and the Crocodile that lurks near the Sentinel Statue on noob river, they can be tricked into fighting each other which will make your skinning/harvesting creatures a lot easier lol

Regarding Testerle's Unlock Plus, he decided to go ahead and fix the UI issue in benches early this past Saturday morning. But he specified that it will be the last update. There wasn't a need to update his other mods. Regarding your question, there aren't really any other alternative mods out there to take the place for Unlock Plus to be able to craft from container.

The DLCs are optional, and cosmetic except for the Isle of Siptah, which is a second map plus build pieces, armour etc. You can absolutely play without buying them, and then see which ones you want later

It's funny that they finally bring up that they are going to look into finding a fix for players falling through the foundations or mesh. This has been a persistent issue many many years at this point. lol.

After the update I decided to take a new look since I hadn't played in months. I peeked at my old base and decided to start over. So far I'm enjoying the game again. I am struggling a bit to make fighting work, so I'm mostly sticking close to Noob River, but that's normal for me. I dislike dying. :P

@@Anabriella I'd say its more Noob River is relaxing and mostly safe. Once you have steel equipment there really isn't much near the river that is actually all that dangerous. But as I said, I don't like dying, so sticking near there until I'm sure I'm ready is what I'm comfortable with.

it's been a while since I played, this str/dex weapons thing, how do truncheons work now? before you needed a str feat if you didn't want to spend forever knocking people down iirc

Extra points in Authority will boost the speed at which you knock them out - though I don't use any and have no issues. Szeth's truncheon from the entrance of the Wine Cellar dungeon, with an advanced blunted weapon fitting makes it super quick - or you can use Purple Lotus Orbs now too.

It told you the prerequisite for unlocking the Tanner Journey when you clicked on it. The problem is that you moved the mouse onto an individual objective too fast without taking a moment to read what it actually said and that replaced the prerequisite text. TLDR; You simply unlock the Tanner Knowledge to unlock the Tanner Journey.

If you mean the board/table and pieces - that's from the Debaucheries of Derketo DLC. There was also the King's Board which was in the bazaar, and will probably circle back at some point. That was black and white foundations. Thanks for watching!

The base game is absolutely enough. The DLCs are mostly cosmetic, you can just get the ones you like the look of later if you want, or just play without. Hope you enjoy 🙌

I do actually have ocd but weirdly enough the ceiling thing doesn’t bother me much. Also people without ocd and genuinely be bothered by the mixed textures just because it catches their attention and distracts them while they are trying to do something. Either way it’s still funny how seriously some people take that kind of thing

Has anyone been able to complete the Thrall Taker journey since the new update? Placing thralls doesn’t complete the last step any more. 😩

I managed to complete it on stream today. I was next to Sepermeru, used a low level carpenter, in a basic carpentry bench and it worked! Others have had the same issue as you though. This was also single player, but try a low level one away from your base maybe - hope it works!

@@Anabriella I tried it with a low level armorer bench a good distance from my base and placed a newly converted shieldwright near the bench and he walked over and inserted himself into the bench slot to no effect 😩 Looks like I’m going to have to figure out some other way to get the achievement 🤔😞

the mobs in Conan seem to bug out a lot. I hate fighting hyenas, but they bug out and get stuck on trees or just don't attack; I can handle a single hyena but 2 or 3 I want them to bug out. (I'm new to Conan and stick to mace/shield)

Game looks nothing like in the thumbnail and in fact it is a pretty ugly game on console. I still remember the bright yellow colours on ground, the invisible elephants and rhinos attacking u, the glitchy animations and worse of all objects and sometimes even characters turning black because it couldn't be completely rendered. This was on a ps5 and I'm sure it's better on the pc. Avoid the console versions. It looks and plays terrible.

I have 1000+ hours on my PS5 with this game. Had tons of fun. 8/10 A+ would recommend
