This game looks so good. Missed the KS and I can't imaging getting the game without those cool miniatures. I've read that you can only get the miniatures through the main Website and it'll likely be certain quantities. Also looking at the KS campaign it looks like there's a solo mode too. That sold me but I have to hold off for a bit as much with KS games and all the interesting games coming out, there's only so much I can afford.

Fighterfan69 As you probably know by now you can actually buy the pack that has the minis but it costs as much as the core game. From the sounds of it though it is totally worth it.

Wow! Just looking at your runthrough of this game makes my head spin. The whole time travel idea confuses me a lot. It does look like a cool game though, if I can end up groking it.

It looks really interesting. Although I couldn't grasp how the cataclysm really fits into the game. Maybe it would be nice to have a very remote possibility to avoid it with some kind of development, since we can get stuff from the future anyway. Still, I'm considering it. Very nice shipping costs definitely helps a lot too.

+Tony Faber Similar complexity and strategic depth, but easier to understand the basics for starting players. The Leader Box has two additional modules, so you can even fine tune the complexity and flavour of the gameplay each time you play.

Richard, I know that Trickerion wasn't really a good fit for you and Jen, but is this one? I ask based on your preference for 2 player and limited player combat with one another.

+Colin Nordstrom The base game itself is really around 30 minutes per player (it might take longer for the first time or with beginners), adding the modules might add up to playing time though.

Right?! That's about the length of a movie or documentary show. Not bad at all. (Especially if you compare this to how long Dominant Species or Star Wars: Rebellion takes to play.)

This seems neat, but I simply do not understand how game end triggers. There's no hidden scoring, so someone can conceivably figure out their score just from the board state. With that knowledge, there is no reason at all that I can see for the person in first to not just collapse all of the capital tiles immediately after the meteor hits. I just don't see how this game can ever go past turn 5 with optimal play. Sure, one player can't collapse all of the tiles themselves, but they aren't the only one sending the exosuits into the capital and like you said those tiles offer sizable bonuses so people are going to be naturally attracted to those spots. I'm going to post this on the KS too, because I really want to like this game, but at the moment I just don't see it. Usually I can watch one of these runthroughs and read the game's rules and figure out roughly how a game would play out, but with this I'm left confused because what feels like should happen would be extremely anticlimactic.

+Khift A good point! I assume the rest of the round plays out though, which would provide some uncertainty, unless it is a blowout (in which case ending it sooner might be a blessing anyway).

+Khift regarding one player forcing an immediate collapse... that can't happen. after the meteor, each player now only has 4 mech bays instead of 6, so they can only send 4 workers to the capital at most each round. That's not enough to trigger the game end, so it would take them two full rounds at least to accomplish this by themselves, and during that time, everyone else would be continuing to actually try to pursue their scoring agenda, and this could potentially put the "game ender" behind.

+Er Panfi I'm not really opposed to 3 hour games, my worry from the description is that there is a lot of down time between turns. It sounded like when it gets to your turn you have to weigh out a lot of options and makes a lot of decisions before playing. This is fine in a smaller count but I find if you can't do anything until your turn and you have to wait for some slower analytical players to take their turn before you can choose what to do, then it can feel too long. I may be way off on this and there is something to do even when it isn't your turn, if so then I would love to try it.

+aowoodworks Completely right on this... Alas, is the major defect of every non-simultaneous turn game :-( Watching the runthrough I think that there are some activities that can be parallelized, if needed, like the Exosuit powerup decisions... But if you aim for the max efficiency of every move there's only a limited quantity of "reasoning" you can do during opponents' turns, so you must wait your turn to make the decisions.

+aowoodworks It looks like most of the "long term" planning is done simultaneously (how many mech suits, what do I ask for), but a quicker player will still end up waiting for the more deliberate player. When worker turns are being taken, it looks like each turn is fairly simple, in and of itself.
