Hey Guido, great video, and thanks for sharing my hi-fy system :) Your observations are spot on! I had just bought that new turntable, cartridge included, but I now put on a new Audio Technica AT-OC9XML MC Phono Cartridge... much improvement. To answer your questions, my "speakers" journey: RCF BR40, AR 44BX, Opera III, Dynaudio Contour 1.1, Proac Tablette, Proac D15, Proac D28. Last but not least, in that corner, there is a VTL IT85... in my opinion, one of the best-integrated amplifier ever made! Even when I replaced it with the Audio Research and Manleys, I decided to keep it for my studio. Now, it powers two Harbeth monitors 30.2 HD. I'm sure that the people who send you the videos are happy to see them as well as others. My personal opinion is, I much more enjoy & learn from your channel when you are doing your own varied subjects. I have learned a lot about tape decks, tape & LP mastering as well! Hope you get back to those type of videos.

You didn’t watch the video correctly. As stated in the beginning that video was in Italian. Only after I discovered that it also had an English track so I had to add it in the end. In fact if you notice I do not appear, there is no comment and obviously no medals. Who doesn’t know Electrocompaniet? I was about to buy their amazing CD player a few years ago.

Not really, if look also in the past there is a lot of vintage stuff that does cost much today that got medals. Clearly high quality does cost more and in most cases it also sounds better, not always though and in fact, for example, for those components that deserved gold like the RMG DACs I don’t because I think they are quite poor in their conversion. Great numbers clearly…but poor sound!
