This song just destroys me. I don't know why keep listening to it. But I listen to it all the time. It's just beautiful.

Oh man. Anais, as if this song didn't already break my heart, watching this just confirms it. There's some real vulnerable qualities that simplicity can't hide. It's breath taking and beautiful. Thank you for making music.

How does this only have 10k views. Music that makes you feel is on the wayside I guess... sucks for those not listening.

I had the great privilege of seeing her live in LA in April. A great performer John Elliot opened up for her. She performed songs from Young Man in America as well as some Hadestown stuff. THE TOPPER was the last song they played. Anais the Young Man Band and John Elliot played that old Tom Waits song "Ol' 55". It was amazing. Id love to see her back in LA. COME BACK ANAIS!

Hi Anaiis: Just catching up with your current work after loving your first few albums for many years. We met briefly at the Ottawa Folkfest the first year you played there. I bought all the merch you had there CD-wise and have been singing and learning your songs ever since. I have recently taken up the research project of trying to learn the Arabic verse in your beautiful song Two Kids. I see you have rerecorded it for your newest release. I would love to perform this song at open mics around Ottawa along with your other material which never looses it"s interest or pleasure for me in singing and playing. As you must know, Canada and Ottawa are experiencing an immigration boom with Syrian refugees.A musician friend of mine is involved in a community of people who are sponsoring a Syrian family. I am hoping somehow to find the verse in the original Iraqi dialect written out and perhaps through this family be able to learn enough to be able to sing that verse of the song. Is there a source for this that I could access to have in hand the original Arabic of this and perhaps more of Noor-al-Din's work???? Thanks so much......
