I'm gonna say it Anakin/ Vader is the best/ most amazing/ interesting/ beautifully deep and complex character in all of star wars. Born without a father, poor, a slave with no hope for the future, taken from his mother, his mother taken from him, fell into forbidden love, feared loss again, fell to darkness, lost his title and gained a new one, destroyed the order he fought for his whole life, lost his wife, lost his friends, lost his children, lost his body and became trapped in a suit which made him suffer constantly and was the fuel for his hatred, comitted terrible acts, met his son and daughter years later and his heart was again moved and awoken, defeated his wicked master who fooled him and saved his son and was redeemed. Beautiful. No one can tell me there is a better star wars character.

As soon as he realized that the creating life and bringing people back from death for the greater good was bullshit as well as the whole bring peace to the galaxy for everyone was too it was already way too late. There is a comic where there was an alternate final showdown between Darth Vader and Darth Maul. Maul manages to gain the upper hand and is about to deal a deathblow from behind. Only to have Vader reverse his lightsaber grip and plunge it through his own body, striking a surprise lethal blow on Maul instead. As he dies, Maul asks "What could you possibly hate enough...to defeat me?", since Sith do seem to be draw strength from their powerful negative emotions. Vader responds with a single word. "Myself."

I looked at the picture at the start thinking 'Huh, that's pretty,' then as I kept listening to the music and staring at the picture, it made more sense. This is a man whose greatest fear has taken over his life: losing the people closest to him. He has lost everything he loves. His mother, imprisoned, tortured, and slaved to death by Tusken Raiders, had his wife die while giving birth to two children who he will never see for years, helped ruin the whole Jedi Order, his padawan left him only for the last time seeing her in a battle against her before dying, his closest friend who allowed him to come into the Order as the Chosen One because the man who he knew as the one to get him out of his slavery only to be killed and then to 'kill' him as revenge for cutting off his limbs and letting him catch on fire and burn until nearly dead, and then fighting along side R2D2 and C3PO, a robot who he built from scrap as a child, in the Clone Wars only to turn to the Dark Side never to see them again. Yeah. I understand why he is crying in the picture. He is regretting his life decisions. Even though through all the work to try to prevent the inevitable, he still proceeds to destroy everyone and everything he has come to love in his life. And in the picture, I find it cool that his mask hides him from seeing his body, showing him that his armor is hiding him from who he really is even though he truthfully and fully knows what he has become. His black and empty soul, filled with hatred for who he is. The picture really makes an impact with the music to show that he really mourns who he was and who has become.

I use to think Luke's ability to see that Vader still had good in him was a combination of his force powers and sheer hope and optimism, but now I think it was more than Luke's own capabilities in seeing into his father's conflict. I think when Vader discovered his son his love for him was so strong and Anakin began to resurface and the force of that light was undeniable to Luke. When he tells Obi Wan, Vader, and Leia that there is good still in him he is not just hopeful, he is certain.

"Tell your sister, you were right.." And with his final breaths, he looked his son in the face, wanting to reach out and touch him, if only to feel what it was like to be human again, but his ailing body failed to do so..and so laid is head to rest, letting the force take his mind and his body, to feel the light again after so long was like bringing a warm fire to a shivering man.. liberating. Then there was white..not darkness- and when he opened his eyes again, he felt wind in his hair, a breeze along his finger tips, and miles among miles of Naboo Grassland. And in his moment of brief confusion a voice called out to him. "Anakin!" The voice was familiar, one that he had not heard since..he turned with sudden shock, stretching his arms out around Padme, nearly breaking into tears as he gripped her tightly against him. He pulled away from her slowly as he felt her stomach feeling as it was flat, smiling warmly as he looked off towards the rising morning sun. The End of The Tragedy of Darth Vader was here, now The Liberation of Anakin Skywalker was just beginning. He would finally live life as he would have wanted in the force. His son was out there, and perhaps he would serve the force better than he could have. Yes, yes he would, because he is the Son of Anakin Skywalker.

Hello friend, My name is Lincoln. I don't know you (and by the way, I'm sorry for my english). I'm from a slum ("favela", in good portuguese) here from Brazil. I do not know your history or your struggles, but briefly I wanted to talk about my struggles, my history. Today, I'm a doctor, but it wasn't always like this Man, in my childhood, I suffered some sexual abuse from a relative, and it initially affected my life. After that, I had sexual contacts in my childhood with cousins (male and female). It almost destroyed me. I also began to be a slave of pronography very early on, and that eroded me from within. Also, I might not even exist, because my mother, when she was a child, was adopted by a very loving woman: my grandmother, Maria Cleomar. She and my grandfather are illiterate and have already starved. My father is now unemployed, my mother, as well as my grandmother, have already swept the floor to make money, my grandfather is a humble carpenter. Still in my childhood, I was once almost kidnapped on a street by a child abuser. On another occasion I accidentally drank some poison. I say what I lived, and I say with certainty that poison is bitter. I also say that sometimes life can be bitter, and I say from what I see every day, because, as I said, I live in a slum, and I often see people drowning in their own blood. Cousins and childhood friends who got lost in drugs and crime. That was the way that awaited me. But man, I realized I had something different in my life. I realized this was NOT the way I (and no one) had to go. That "different look" was really God's look in my life, and I'll tell you why. At 10, I won a scholarship (full) at the best school in the north-northeast region of Brazil. And there, despite certain social difficulties (such as some situations of racism), or even with the difficulty of school subjects, God was highlighting me. With nights and nights of study, after 10 years in that school, I started to appreciate medicine. I took a test to enter a public university (here in Brazil, higher education works like this, you take a test). I didn't get the result I wanted, and I confess that it gave some distress. It came to my mind: "Have these long 10 years of study been in vain?" No, they weren't. I also took a test for a private university for medicine. The medical course there costs around U$ 200,000. I don't know how much that sounds to a foreigner or American who has greater purchasing power. But for a Brazilian, this is a lot! Nearly 800,000 reais (Brazilian currency). But even though I was a poor, illiterate grandson with an unemployed father, I got a full scholarship. I don't pay a penny, and it is also the best private university in the north-northeast region of Brazil. I'm only in my second year of medical school, but I want to be a neurosurgeon, and not for glory or status, but to help people who go through difficult situations, lack of faith and hope, and maybe one of those people is you, brother. I know, miles away, I can't do much, but I hope this story helps you. I recommend you, as a Doctor, seek medical help, as Depression and anxiety disorders are serious psychiatric conditions. But besides, from what I saw, from what I lived, and from what I won, I say that God has special eyes for you, dear brother. I'll pray for you, you can be sure. Therefore, NEVER accept words that make you look down, that you have no value, and things like that, for despite all your afflictions, until you were born, God dreamed of you. And he created you to be a being of light, even though the world, directly or indirectly, tells you otherwise. I do not say this by presenting you with a mere religion, but by passing on a teaching that a man who stepped on the earth 2,000 ago used to teach. I call him "master," and he calls me "friend". My master taught me to forgive. To forgive those who hurt me, like the rapist and the kidnapper. And taught me to pray for them too. My master, like my grandfather, was a carpenter, but he was also a great gardener. He took care of me like I was a tree or a much loved flower. He took care of every branch, every leaf and every petal, and watered me so that I was never thirsty again. Because he is living water. At the sound of his voice my soul flourished, and your soul can flourish too, my friend, my dear, my brother. DON'T GIVE UP, and God bless you a lot

Darth Vader's redemption story is one of the most powerful in cinema history, most probably wouldnt have expected that out of a science fantasy trilogy, but the scene i saw as a child, when Luke is dying at the Emperor's hands and Vader stands there, silently looking on (unlike the remastered version where he screams "no!") trying to decide in his heart what to do, and finally, before he loses the last thing he loves (and that love HIM!) he grabs the emperor and chucks the bastard down the reactor shaft, dying as a result. Beneath the iron mask and black cloak lies not only the fear and power of the dark lord but also the broken heart of a hero, a child who has strayed from the path. The melody in this video captures the deeply human side of Darth Vader, which we often forget - that of a father, a friend, and a man who once had big dreams. This video reminds us that even in darkness, there is always a spark of light. Let us never forget that behind every legend is a story of loss, love, and hope. Farewell, Anakin... 🕯

I can’t think of any story, fiction or other wise, save freaking Jesus, that shows unconditional love so beautifully. Just look at Luke and Padmé. They weren’t blind. They both saw and knew what Anakin had done. Somehow Anakin has achieved things that freaking Hitler could never amount up to. He wiped out an entire culture. A culture he grew up in, and had arrived to protect the galaxy. And he did in the name of hate. Yet Padmé and Luke still saw good in him. As much as I hate the dialogue of the prequels. Having Padmé‘s last words be “there’s still good in him” was a stroke of brilliance. It showed hat, even though he caused the death of both her and everything she believed in, she still loved him deeply. Which is beyond heart breaking. She died knowing that there is still hope for her true love And Luke. Oh frick Luke. He spent his entire life wanting to to prove himself to a father he didn’t even know. Imagine the joy he felt when he found out his father was both a Jedi Knight and well beloved war hero of the clone wars.that his father was a freaking legend. He spent the next couple of years trying to be like his father and to become a Jedi Knight. But then he discovered the truth. Right from his fathers own mouth. And it shattered his entire perception of his father. He was convinced that his father was one of the greatest people to exist. And now he finds out that he was in fact the very man he sought to defeat. He considered Darth Vader to be the very epitome of evil and was the one to cause the death of his father. Imagine how devastating that was Yet despite that. He still loved his father. He was able to see good in him despite the fact that Anakins own father figure couldn’t see anything. He made a decision to spare his life, because he felt true inconditional love. And I think that’s freaking awesome.

Anakin's story is a timeless tale that can be appreciated and understood by literally anyone who stops to think about it regardless of age, culture, gender, etc. This is because Anakin's story is fundamentally about what it means to be human. As I listened to this symphony for the first time today, I welled up because it finally hit me like a ton of bricks. Anakin's redemption story resonates because it tells us all something we desperately want to believe - that no matter what we've done, it's never too late to turn back. It's never too late to learn from your mistakes. It's never too late to stand up, dust yourself off, and turn around. You are never too far gone to change. Vader tells Luke earlier, "It's too late for me, son", yet his last words were "You were right about me. Tell your sister, you were right..." It's only too late to change if you have convinced yourself of that very fact. Personally, as a Christian, I relate Anakin's redemption to the idea that none of us are too far gone to be beyond God's forgiveness. We're all flawed, but we aren't lost if we turn and accept God's pardon through Jesus. But the beautiful thing about redemption stories like Anakin's (and I think his may be the best fictional portrayal of this), is that literally ANYONE can appreciate and relate to it - Christian, Buddhist, Atheist, etc.
@aristotelis19974 жыл бұрын
yes it doesnt have to be about jesus. Everybody deserves peace of mind.
@SSPspaz4 жыл бұрын
@@aristotelis1997, precisely. I may view Anakin's redemption through a Christian lens, but that doesn't make his story arc any less powerful for others. Honestly, this is why I couldn't accept the new Star Wars trilogy because it makes Anakin's story arc and redemption more or less inconsequential.

Hassan Syed dude all those quotes are darth Vader’s, the only anakin one is the last one. Also darth Vader is more machine than human those are badass quotes that show his unrelenting and destructive power. However, Hayden’s portrayal of anakin In the prequels is amazing for showing all that conflict within himself, the needing to escape his confines of suppression that the Jedi imposed on him which is why people “say he shows no emotion” but that’s because that’s what anakin was taught to do. Which is why in revenge of the with, he does a phenomenal job that I will never forget in displaying the hate, anger, and resentment in him. So no the prequels aren’t mediocre, they are the best in the franchise, if it weren’t for the prequels that set the way for technological advancement in cgi we wouldn’t have amazing movies now, the prequels also made way for a lot of other amazing lore.

"Fear leads to anger..." His mother was back at his arms. Her scarred face looked up at him in pain, yet she seemed at peace. She took his hand, 'Anakin, I..I love...,' Her shaky voice was interrupted by screams. Screams of Padme. "Anger leads to hate.." 'Master Skywalker there are too many of them what are we going to do?' A little boy looked at him, his eyes scared but faithful that Anakin would save them. After all he was the Hero with No Fear, the hero of the Clone Wars. This time he didn't ignite his lightsaber. He brought his hand up and suddenly he was back at Mustafar. In front of him stood Padme, gasping for air as he suddenly realized what he was doing. "Hate leads to suffering" 'I know' With those words, Ahsoka turned and walked away. Away from the Temple, the Order, her life as a Jedi. Away from him. Then her silhouette changed. First, it was Obi-Wan whose back Anakin was facing. Then the distant figure became Padme. Before she disappeared, her silhouette changed into two smaller ones hand in hand walking down the Temple's stairs. Away from him. He was alone, the only thing he heard was his own breathing. Deep, long breaths.

I'm not so sure. Anakin's fatal flaws were an excess of emotion coupled with the means of being highly suggestible, and thus manipulable by Palpatine; had he been able to master his emotions perhaps the Jedi council would/could have acted quite differently. But having children so alters the consciousness of a normal human that one might find in Anakin it caused an extreme excess of emotions, thus rendering wholly and completely open to control, which Palpatine did with gusto.

Anakin displayed a raw nature of emotion, leading him to a powerful connection with the force, his only mistake was as human as any of us can get...he just wanted to hold on, don't you? I mean whatever it may be don't you want it to last? Your life, your loved ones, the things you enjoy. This is a tragedy because he chose not to let go and that's what kept him suspended in his own world of suffering. Pain is inevitable because we don't want the good feelings to go away, and once they do the pain takes place, we can't stand the end, we fear it and dread it but the most groundbreaking realization we must face is that its what makes everything else so special. The fact that nothing you wish for/hold onto will be forever, true serenity is met when one can release those selfish tensions and allow what must happen to take place. This is what truly defeated Anakin.

From begining to end os story is an epic tragedy rife with pain, joy, love, horror, regret, hatred, betrayal and then love again and finally, redemption. Of all the characters in all of the universes of Star Wars, no one comes close to this level of greatness. He lost everything, then found himself again, only to die a free man once more.

What i love the most about this piece is the Imp Love theme. It sounds so childish, so innocent, just like Anakin was. It makes me think of a music box, a distant memory of a lost child, victim of something bigger than him despite all it's inner strenght. Truly Beautiful!

These last 10 minutes… Full of regret, full of missed years, but at the same time, full of hope and relief. Relief from the dark side, finally understanding how miserable a life could be, but how important to live this life as a true man. Amazing👏🏼

Darth Vader has the deepest and most saturated roots of any villain in any film that I have ever seen in my entire life. I’m not even a die-hard fan of Star Wars, but I significantly respect this story and it will always be one of the greatest movie franchise of all time 🙌🙌

I just had a cry listening to this and reading comments. I don't cry that often. I just felt an overwhelming sense of love during the Imp Love Theme section. I've listened to this a couple times, but this is the first time it's made me cry. Anakin is the perfect character for me to relate to. I've made many mistakes and bad decisions in my 24 year life. They're small, granted, compared to other people's bad decisions, but mine are big to me. Every time I slip, I make myself out to be a horrible man who deserves the consequences. While I deserve consequences for my bad decisions, I can always come back. I can always be made clean again. I have worth to someone. I deserve every bit of love my family and my God give me. Thanks Lucas, for helping me see that again.

We're all nothing, outside of the love of Christ. HE created you, HE knows you, HE loves you! You find your true identity when you give him your sins, your pain, your brokeness, your heart! Read the book of the Gospel of John in the Bible. Ask Him to show you, HIS heart, YOUR purpose that you were created for! - in HIM! HE will give you the peace you long for, like no other can give you peace! He is TRULY life and freedom from the dark side, in ALL of us!

I like to think the title "Return of the Jedi" refers more to Anakin returning to the Jedi before his death than Luke bringing about the return of Jedi's.

@@skywalker2230 The return of the Jedi refers to Luke being AWOL in the movie. Everyone is suprised when Luke returns because hes been missing, some even thought he was dead. The return of the Jedi clearly refers to Luke returning. And Luke is the hero of the saga, hes the one that brought balance to the force. Anakin was more like a false prophet.

So, I know this is Star Wars themed and I'm not too much in the Star Wars fandom, but I have seen all of the movies and such from when I was younger and I loved Anakin's character. So, I constantly had this coming up in my KZbin suggestions, so I gave it a listen, and I actually really enjoyed it because it has the sort of melancholic vibe that Anakin had, and the use of the "higher pitched notes" (treble), it has the childlike feeling, since he lost his mother at a young age and was filled with rage from that moment on, in turn, not allowing him to truly be an innocent child. The depth of the character of Anakin Skywalker is phenomenal. I believe he's one of the reasons why Star Wars is a really timeless piece of film-making history. Obviously, when I was younger I never really understood much, but rewatching the movies when the Mandalorian came out gave me a newer love for the series. Now, I'm a bit of a writer and I aspire to be able to create a character as complex, intriguing, and heartbreaking as Anakin. Thank you, Lucas! It's a really well done piece, keep up the work!!

No other character has such a deep and tragic story as Anakin Skywalker. You see him grow up from a little engineer to a broken man who lost everything but in the end found himself. It has taught me that you have to accept mistakes and life with them and not trying to fix them. Only if you accept your mistakes, you can bring peace to your mind. May the force be with all of us wishing you all good luck in your life. God bless

I don't know if anyone else is going to read these and resonate but anyone listens to classical music a lot of this suite is inspired or a rendition of Beeothoven's arpeggios from various sonatas like Moonlight, etc. It's just undeniable there. But its so difficult to point out becuase one needs a keen ear and also the artist has done a magni-fuckin-ficient job of infusing Star Wars/ Anakin's motifs in there. Correct me if I'm wrong @lucas king but big ups to you good sir. You have been with me through innumerable late nights that turn into mornings for work.
