Anakin’s intelligence is really underrated, he’s actually a genius. He literally built a droid and pod racer from scratch by himself with no teaching as a child. And during the clone wars he was arguably the best battle tactician among the Jedi generals. On paper Anakin is definitely smarter than Obi wan, however Obi wan is much calmer, wiser, and more focused.

Anakin was very smart , but lacked emotional stability due to childhood trauma ( he was literally a child slave and then separated from his only parent ) which caused abandonment issues, control issues, and anger issues. Thats the beautiful thing about the ROTS duel, Obi Wan was literally outmatched in every single way, he, by all possible metrics of calculation should've lost, Anakin was Younger and was literally trained by him, had way more midichlorians than Obi Wan ever had, was way stronger in the force than him, had insane experience and probably even more impressive feats, but he still lost due to his arrogance.

By episode 3, Anakin was only rivaled by yoda and sidious in terms of raw power (confirmed by George Lucas and Nick Gillard), and he was also very skilled in form 5. Anakin lost on mustafar because the original trilogy was written first, and he needed to end up in the suit somehow. And yeah, it was his arrogance that costed him at the end, but the main reason he lost is because he needed to end up in the Vader suit.
