I want to say that i genuinely believe it’s ok for people to make a BAD analog horror, or an series that isn’t as high quality as the rest.. i think people should have time to improve their craft because i think every analog horror creator has potential to make good ass shit even if thier first projects aren’t as good. I always hate the times when people harassed different creators just because there content isn’t the best, WE ALL START SOMEWHERE. It’s also ok for people to not like series too, just be polite about it. Constructive criticism is the best thing a content creator has, people need to normalize being polite about something they’ll don’t like or love. If you see someone having an negative opinion, don’t go mad at them for it (unless they’ll genuinely an asshole then tbh just ignore at that point, they’ll not worth it) but that also applies to the other side too. WE ALL NEED TO START BEING NICE TO EACH OTHER MORE. Anyway that’s all I’ll say, sorry for yapping, i just really like analog horror and want to see the fandom and creators improve more and more

I agree with this. If twf was made today, it would get shit on as a rippoff fnaf and get bullied off. And look at where it is now as a community we should help and give advice to others trying to make their own storys

But people should also be honest when something isn’t good instead of endless glazing, because constant glazing leads to no improvement whereas honesty helps a person to improve

@b1zarr3veli agree, i said this in my comment too. Constructive criticism helps so much people and creators should definitely listen to negative reviews unless they’ll are VERY rude about it but even then it might still be worth looking at. Seeing creators improve is the most satisfying thing for me as a fan of analog horror. That’s how i even became subscribed to unknowingly, i didn’t even like man in the suit at first but i wanted to see a chance for improvement and it worked out because in my opinion, his latest episode was pretty good

I don't think Analog Horror is dying, as a genre of media can't actually "die." However, there are a lot of overused tropes that cause severe stagnation to the quality of analog horror.
@unearthly.-0713 сағат бұрын
I think the major reason for a bad analog horror series is because of inexperience. Majority of the creators are teens who are making their first venture into film and analog horror is a very easy mode to do so due to how cheap it is to make. I just wish they were more unique and tried to do something more personal. Alot of the scares feel similar even though there are various genres within analog horror like cosmic, religious, occult, liminal, etc, yet the way they scare us is the same. And coming to IPs, I wish they took on more interesting IPs like 'Kairo' (which I'm pretty sure was a major influence on the genre) and 'Signs' rather than superheroes. A major factor in Analog horror is realism and by using superheroes in their stories, I'm immediately taken out. Again, this is just a subgenre on KZbin, but I really want to see it grow and not be disregarded as just cheap scares.

I believe that the fun of watching horror is to be scared and not to first-handedly judge. We have probably already forgotten that and stopped having fun/being scared, that's why it's dying.

Yes! Lots of AH consumers this day can’t enjoy anything atp. They will rip apart every new series that got popular/praise because it outshines their fav series or their own project. The saddest part is, lots of people who are hating someone else’s series are an AH creators too. Instead of being supportive and giving advice from their own experience, they’re trying to bring others down.

Personally I don't think analog horror will die (or at least not for a long time) because it seems like every 3 months a new series, good or bad, becomes popular, even outside of analog horror fans

No not at all it's going to a period of stagnation but that's pretty common for most horror sub genres. Also bad analog horror is not necessarily A Bad thing. Constructive criticism can help people to improve their skills and make better content. So when you see a bad analog horror instead of leaving a hateful comment. Leave a comment stating the positives and then what the Creator could improve on. The moral of the story is ironically enough we just need to be nicer to each other as a community. I mean come on guys we all love horror that's why we're here. I suppose the scariest thing of all is being nice to your fellow humans

I am glad to see you still keeping true to yourself and be critical to the things you have passion for. I cannot say I am the biggest fan of this subgenre, but seeing countless people huff the flatulence of less than stellar and at times downright lazy works makes me not want to head deeper into it. But saying everything is terrible is not the way either, as you have stated. To be critical shows interest and praise, as well as passion and a desire for improvement upon those that make these things. And I do hope more people can see that. Best wishes to you mate, and I hope many creators bring about their utmost passiom with every single scene they show us.

While I've always had the stance of AH videos needing to be believable within their world, I respect things like Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit and Freddy Junior's Origins just taking a full on short film approach. IMO you should either settle with one or the other, cuz if you mix them both too much then you just get the subpar stuff we've been getting.

In my opinion, I think it should die. At least the bad ones. I remember watching the Walten Files and think "oh god this is so corny" then the rest of the new AH releases also became corny as hell. The only new "analog horror" I think is great is the "No, I'm Not Human" video game. The story is fresh and so is its narrative structure. No cheap jumpscares but it gets you to feel eerie about your surroundings.

I’d have to say that AH isn’t really dying, their just kinda using the same thing over and over but different story’s which makes it a interesting but also boring, some of my favorites are ones that are like actual shows like for example, the pumpkin rabbit or needlemouse
@invertigo570615 сағат бұрын
In my opinion, analog horror is alive, but well? defently not. I honestly agree with you, analog horror isnt doing the best but only making more junk. Sure we have SOME gems. Vita carnis new episode, boiled one etc. Hopefully we do get past these rough patches of adobe photoshop face stretcher.

I dont think its dying, some people just like anything. Like walten files is very much not scary at all and even goofy and idk if I can call it analog horror as its videos are clearly cartoons when its supposed to be linked to a world and a world isolated in a cartoon isnt scary. And the premise wasnt very scary. Then again, I really hated fnaf.
