Good video! This Behringer is routed almost exactly like my old Mackie 1642VLZ Pro, right down to the configuration of the AUX returns. I use the AUX sends and returns for quadraphonic recording and playback of my reel to reel.

If you aren't using the onboard FX, you can the FX like a 4th Aux mix by using this output. This will bypass onboard FX sending the mix to whatever you patch to from the FX out.

Great videos, I just purchased this same mixing board so it was really beneficial to me. For the Direct outs can I use that to go back out to like a bass amp or a guitar amp? I realize that I'll only be able to control the part going through the mixer to the mains

This video / series is very detailed and informative...... but....... I have the Behringer 1204 USB (without FX). It is just different enough that I am thoroughly confused. Even the manual from Behringer skips over the operation and function of the "phones/CTRL ROOM" operation. This is my first ever mixer and I have no formal or informal training. KZbin seems to have a lot of tutorials on the X1204 USB, but nothing much on the non effects version. How would you suggest that I learn how to use my equipment? I am in Southern California. Thx.

Appreciate the vid! Can you use the sub outs for headphones? Say I want my mix a lot more drum heavy and my singer wants it more vocals?

You can, but unfortunately Sub outs don't let you adjust volume individually per channel, they're just a reflection of what the main Faders are doing. Aux Out is a better choice because each channel has its own adjustment knob. For a mono signal into head phones check out the Behringer P2.

I am setting up a worship space in the concrete basement. I have gifted to me a TOa 212. I have 16 homesite panels to place on walls to help kill the echo. Any suggestions would be helpful. If you want multitrack, you will need a multitrack capture device.

Hi Bill, good to hear from you! Excellent question. I generally use an app on my phone. Since I'm an Android user, I recommend Spectroid by Carl Rienke. It's free. For my iPhone try RTA Audio app which is free as of this comment. Just make some feedback and it will show you what frequency the feedback is on. Thanks!

I don't have a board to play with (it's on backorder) But we're getting the Behringer SX2442FX. I believe you touched on it but, we need several monitor mixes. Can you use one of the effects buses as a monitor bus? What about using a sub as a monitor send?

Hi Frank. Yes you can use the FX aux as a monitor feed, just patch in on the back to bypass the onboard FX processor. I talk more about that in the first video starting here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/imLcaZagnsx8ars By the way you can use the the Submixes for monitors but you only have the same mix as your main mix, no individual channel control, only volume control. Yes you can if you just want FX on one channel you can insert. If you want FX for a whole mix you can use send/return. 👍

Unfortunately, this mixer only has a stereo USB interface. It does not support multitrack recording.

I have a problem with the same mixer, i.e. the vu meter shows no signs of life when I start a signal from any channel, for example, to start music I use a cable that enters the mixer in the stereo channels with 2 jacks and an aux on the phone, clicking main and raising both faders "main and the channel fader" the vu meter shows no signs, I don't know where to turn

Rather I have a friend who has a mixer of a different brand and to see the vu meter give signs from the main a specific button has to be clicked, if this is also the case on behringer, what would it be?
