@MidnightLight - agreed. As an IT specialist, this is one the best audio mixer tutorial that I've watched. Began with the mixer architecture, explains what each mixer subsection does to channelized incoming signals. Thank you sir.

As a tech that has been doing live events for 15 years, I can back everything said in this video. Note: he chose a Behringer, and I believe for very good reason. I have the smaller X1832USB, but it still offers compression, sweepable mids and a built in 9-band graphic eq; These are all indispensable functions for live mixing. Very clear, concise, accurate instruction. Great video all around.

@proclaimav4197 Жыл бұрын
Excellent! shouldn't be a problem. There are a couple ways you could do this. If you have an available post fader aux mix, you can use it to feed a sub. The good part of this is that you only need to send channels to the sub that have low frequencies. This is generally called "Aux fed Subwoofer." The other way is use the subgroup output. This will let you assign just the channels you want. Don't forget to the use the assignment button on those channels to send it to right subgroup.

Question on LEds indicator. Do this lights Indictators indicate just decibels levels or do they also indicate volume levels, let's say if I have 2 instruments on 2 different channels , if both leds indicate 4 ,do they also mean they are at the same level control ?
@proclaimav41972 жыл бұрын
Indeed it does. I use my meters to set my gain, so I have roughly the same level for everything. Then, I use my faders to set the final levels (because sometimes you will want less cowbell in your speakers.) 😉

Talk back from the stage or the from the mix position just require you to use an additional input channel on the mixer. Simply use the controls to route the mic where you want it. (Keeping the Main Fader down of course.) You can use PFL to listen from headphones or use a pre-fader aux mix to talk back on monitors for example.

Could you please explain abt the PFL button when to use it for recording or online feeding
@proclaimav41974 күн бұрын
PFL (Pre Fader Listen) will route the audio to your headphone. It shouldn't affect your recording or Livestream feed, unless you're using your headphones output to feed these which I don't recommend. This board has an analog RCA record output which will not be affected by PFL and will mirror the levels of your main mix. I have a I a video explaining several different ways to connect your mixer for Livestream kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3Oqf4eFZZWhrcksi=JGgF79sAmRI2cjcd You might also find this video helpful. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIvLiGiFj6hnpsUsi=BgJ7jGR75RtN-T9K.

This video is easily the best I’ve found so far to explain the functions of this board. I purchased this same mixer on the advice from some musician friends for my 16 year old son’s garage band. You’ve given me a point of reference to get started and to go back to if I run into any trouble. Now I just need to figure out how to plug everything into the right places so I can start tinkering with it! They will have 3 instrument mics along with the singer’s mic going into the board, and 2 powered mains and 2 powered monitors coming out…plus a 1000w Crown power amp to power this passive mixer. Do you have any videos made to demonstrate connections? Or any website that you’d recommend? Regardless, thanks for this video! It’s sure to help a ton!
@proclaimav41973 жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful. I'm assuming you have passive speakers since you have an amplifier? If you have powered speakers (that you have to plug into the wall) you don't need an amp at all. I don't have a setup video for passive speakers and amps. Maybe I should make one...🤔 Audio University has a good video here using powered speakers. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6fEkmeVbJVlm68

No, my son’s band has powered speakers. The guy that recommended this mixer told me I’d need a power amp, but THEIR band might use passive speakers? I assumed the mixer itself was passive…good to know, thanks!
