Couldn’t have been explained any better whatsoever. Night and day difference again if anyone cares to (a and b) both. I think the majority of people cannot comment honestly simply because they have never heard true analog audio. What a shame to listen to audio in a second to best scenario, with like you say , with certain frequencies missing due the the nature of analog being converted to digital. You have to hear it to realise the difference and not just guess that you think you have the best audio production there is. Unless it’s analog you won’t simple… Again thank you guerrilla studio’s for such a productive video post Jon

Do you know anything about the Tascam Model 12 and how it fits in with this?

I've never used one as they're a little small for our needs. However I believe they are a very good little mixer and would suit perhaps a band looking to record themselves or be useful in a home studio environment.

@@guerrillastudiosmanchester thank you for the reply. I was asking moreso with it being digital after the analog preamps. The physical knobs for the comp and eq are tactile but operate digitally. After watching your video instead of tracking my drums to the model 12 which is a digital recorder I am tracking to a stereo cassette deck from radio shack and then playing the drums off that into the Model 12 when I record the baseline or guitar to the model 12. It did seem to give it a little more depth and thicken the drums up. The thing that's nice about the Model 12 though is that it allows for a small footprint but up to 12 tracks simultaneous mixing on a desk which means you don't need a DAW.

@@truthwinseverytime8805 Ah yes I see. That sounds like a great use of the equipment you have to get good results. I do find the later in the process you convert audio the better. Like you say the physical knobs are really just to make it more tactile. Sonically its not the same as an analog eq. I've never used one personally so I couldn't comment on how they respond. I do find looking at screens viewing representations of sound to be distracting and detrimental to the music production process.
