Excellent man!! These types videos always help out. I had the Cobra X goggles, but they completely died taking out the steadyview module. I got Wildfire after that and have been happy with it. Awesome video!
@MoeFPV Жыл бұрын
Thanks Bob! Damn I didn't even know you COULD remove the module from the cobra x's. I'm just hoping they sort the rapidfire issue out with the HD zeros - right now, I think the steadyview x module is also bugged on the HD zeros and its only using one antenna and not diversity mix 🙄
@BobnoxiousRx Жыл бұрын
@@MoeFPV Lol, yeah you can remove the steadyview module. I just reread my post and realized how it actually read. When my cobra's died the module died too, not from the removal of the module. I used aythix fpv rapidfire in my cobras and compared them to my steadyview... I just never liked the picture the rapidfire module produces and it is way too expensive. I also compared it to my wildfire module on my attitude v6's and honestly the performance wasn't any better for the extra cash. I am looking forward to the HDZero goggs. Should be in the next week or 2!!!

Thanks for the video. Makes me feel better about the steadyview x module. Now just wait the the hdzero goggles.
@MoeFPV Жыл бұрын
I think you made the right choice - also, i believe there is a bug with the steadyview at the moment. It is possible that in this test, my module was only using a SINGLE antenna and not diversity. Which makes these results even more impressive for steadyview
@Halphbaked210 Жыл бұрын
Ive heard you remove a pin on the module to get it to work.... heard of this?
@MoeFPV Жыл бұрын
@@Halphbaked210 I can confirm this works. However, it will only give you the appropriate readout in the OSD/module itself but it does nothing for actual RF performance unfortunately. You will get similar results to what you see here

Awesome comparison. I have the Cobra X and was doubting steadyview. Before the Cobra, I had the Eachine ev800d and with the range and / or penetration no clear upgrade for me. So I was thinking to try the rapid fire module, but after seeing your video..... 🤔 Thanks for sharing. 👍
@MoeFPV Жыл бұрын
Just as a heads up - i just found this out so i may have to do a follow up video but there is a bug with steadview and hd zero goggles at the moment where it is not doing diversity and instead only pulling from one antenna. so these results were actually radpifire vs ONE stubby antenna.. im sure it will be fixed soon but just making you aware

@@MoeFPV Damn that would be a deal breaker for me regarding the HDZero goggles! Any updates on that?
@SPIT_FPV6 ай бұрын
I just bought the SteadyView X and have been using RapidFire. I feel that RapidFire has a more stable picture overall. I feel like Skyzone handle better if you want to fly further as there is no image rolling. But if I fly close to myself where the reception should be ok the RapidFire doesn't fail. SteadyView has not as crisp image just as I can see in your vid from 1:00. It blinks all the time... This confuse me more than the image rolling. So my vote is for Rapidfire and based on your video it confirms me.

Bro thanks a lot for this video. And thanks for all the comments on this video. I've been looking into upgrading to steadyview x and that definitely makes it look even more appealing. Joshua Bardwell always talks it up anyways but it's good to see this kind of comparison. Also, how do you feel about the HDZero goggles latency with Analog? And why aren't you flying HDZero?
@MoeFPV Жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful! I might have to think about doing an updated video here though as the rapidfire no longer preforms this way and in my opinion is the best module you can get for the goggles. Fusion being close behind. I would take a look at my more recent video where I compare rapidfire and fusion for an idea as the the analog performance on the HD zero goggles. There is no perceivable latency for me on analog on the HD zero goggles and I am fairly latency sensitive. Let me know if you have any other questions!

The latest versions do not show the full signal bar of the patch antenna and it works horribly......thank you and I hope you can help me.

you said you were coming from corbaX and cant see thaat big off a difference? bro i tested the hdzero goggles from a friend today with analog and somehow it looks like its HD and hypersmooth. My cobraX feel like 20fps and god damn bad colors and contrast, cant see any banches of trees, while on the hdzero goggles it feels so buttery smooth and i can easily see branches. Already switched my vrx on the cobra to TBS fusion which helped with breakup but image is still washed out. Im starting to wonder if i got unlucky with the lcd panel in my goggles and bad quality one. really dont want to invest into digital yet, as i know there is alot more to get out of analog...
