Welcome to my home music studio tour! In this video, I'm excited to show you all the hardware synths that I have in my setup. I'm a big fan of analog sounds and I've been collecting synths for a while now. So, let's take a look at what I have!
First up, we have the Access Virus TI2, Alesis Andromeda A6, Alesis Ion, Arturia MatrixBrute, Arturia MicroBrute (CE edition), ASM HydraSynth, Behringer D, Behringer TD-3 (x2), Behringer RD-8, Behringer DeepMind 12, Clavia Nord WAVE, Clavia Nord Micro Modular, DSI Prophet 08, EMU Proteus 2000, Korg Radias, Korg MS-20 MINI, Korg ARP 2600 (FS), Korg Triton Rack, Moog Little Phatty (White), Moog MiniMoog Model D, Moog One (Serial #7), Moog Slim Phatty (x3), Moog Sub 37 (Tribute Edition), Novation UltraNova, Roland A-01, Roland SH-201, Roland TR-8 (with 7x7), Roland TR8s, Roland TB-3, Roland TB-03, Roland TR-08, Roland TR-09, Roland SE-02, Roland SH-01A, Roland D-05, Roland JP-08, Roland JX-03, Roland JU-06, Roland JU-06A, Roland VP-03, Roland JD-800, Roland JD-990, Roland JP-8000, Roland JP-8080, Roland V-Synth, Roland V-Synth GT, Roland XV-5080, Sequential Prophet 10 rev 4, Waldorf Kyra, Waldorf Quantum, and Yamaha AN1x.
Each synth has its own unique sound and personality, and I love experimenting with different combinations to create new sounds. Some of my favorites include the Moog One, which has incredible depth and warmth, the Roland TR-8s, which is perfect for creating classic drum machine sounds, and the Waldorf Quantum, which has an incredibly powerful engine for creating complex, evolving sounds.
I hope you enjoyed this tour of my home music studio and getting a glimpse of my hardware synths collection. Let me know in the comments which one is your favorite! Don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more music-related content. Thanks for watching!

The ones I was jealous about are the Ion and the JD-800. And yes, you're a zillionaire just by owning those synths. They are an investment of high value.

18:20 I I couldn't resist it, so I made some possible variations: 1. Gentlemen, here is my kitchen and you may ask "Marshal, what are we doing in your kitchen?" Well, I have synths here and I'm cooking some of my melodies! 2. Gentlemen, here is my attic and you may ask "Marshal, what are we doing on your attic?" Well, I have synths here and I use them when I need to make some melodies that feel high and uplifting! 3. Gentlemen, here is my laundry room and you may ask "Marshal, what are we doing in your laundry room?" Well, I have synths here and I use them when I need clean sound!

Amazing collection --- I agree that the lack of MIDI CC on the TD-3 is a shame -- or on any TB-303 clone for that matter, we live in the future now. 😁I can automate the TB-03 Boutique very well but it still sounds like every other TB-03 out there. The only way to have our cakes and eat them too is to amass a collection and to "love experimenting with different combinations." Cheers!

I'm impressed by your solid collection of synthesizers! And it shows you really know your stuff about the gear to get. Do you also do all of the repairs, or just basic maintenance?
@MarshalArnold

Some repairs I'm capable of doing, luckily haven't hit any walls yet where I needed to send something out for repair.

Where did you get drivers to update your Miko? I have the Neko version of your Open Labs Timbaland unit. I upgraded the motherboard and the operating system a couple of years ago. The computer works fine, but the peripherals don't work because I do not have the drivers since Open Labs went out of business. Please let me know. That would be helpful. I will compensate.

First what a great synth collection!! Regarding lighting control you should be able to do it in Ableton.. I remember we had lighting automated along with our stems when I toured some years ago so I know it’s possible.

You should upgrade your monitors to some Kali Audios. I used to have the M-Audios and the Kalis sound a lot better for not much money. I have the LP6s, which aren't even the higher priced ones from them.

Apart from jokes, I would feel completely overwhelmed having so much gear. One question as you have both big JD-800 and its boutique clone - does boutique sound the same? Is it any good for synth wave on your opinion?
@MarshalArnold
@MarshalArnold Жыл бұрын
Hey Oleg! 👋 yeah the JD-08 is very close IMO to the original. I think it's a well suited synth for synth wave for sure. This synth is known for really great pads! It's also available in Roland Cloud, so not nessisary to buy the original or the boutique if you've got a cloud subscription.

WHY do you have so many synths???
@stephencrane561
@stephencrane561 Жыл бұрын
Personally, I'm a little tired of being 'shown' instruments designed to be listening to! Sorry, but why hear someone extolling the "nice sounding", "great sounding", "amazing", "impressive" synth - just press a key or two! There's really no excuse, IMHO.
