So good, especially the change at 8:29. Was on the fence about buying the Rytm Mk2 as I couldn't find any videos that showed its softer side, but I'm sold after seeing this.

I was curious weather the Rytm could work this way beyond just being a drum machine. This video has convinced me to get one. Thank you!

Very nice. Did you load your own samples or any sound packs?
@westergaardkristian
@westergaardkristian 7 жыл бұрын
Adomas Tautkus Thanks a lot. No, so far I have only used what came in the box. I cant wait to add some of my own samples though. Even though I usually use the Octatrack for sample stuff, the Analog Rytm signal path just brings a really nice colour to the sounds.

OK, thanks for the response, keep making your music. Very inspiring. I just got a used AR recently. When you start a new project does it come with many Kits in it or do you have to make your own and keep saving them? As much as i love making my own kits I really like some things on the Demo Project, but I can't figure out how to load any of those kits into a new project. If I go to Load Kit I just see the default Kit and my saved ones.

@@samoda I know it's been a long time since you posted this, but to anyone still wondering: Up to 128 kits are stored within a RYTM Project, and there are up to 128 Projects stored within the machine. So over 16,000 kits can be saved in a single RYTM! If you want to move a kit from one project from another it's simply a case of copying and pasting the kit! Super handy workflow once you get into it. Go to LOAD KIT menu, highlight a kit, hit function+rec to copy the kit. Load other Project, go to LOAD KIT menu, thrn hit function+stop to paste the kit.

So are these a bunch of prepared samples? What was your reason for wanting to use the Rytm instead of something like the Octatrack which is built for sampling? Was it just the pads...?
@westergaardkristian
@westergaardkristian 8 жыл бұрын
Paranoidmoonduck No. These are a bunch of patches that mainly utllizes the oscillators. If I remember correctly I use two samples: A chord stab and the Piano chord later in the session. My reason for the Analog Rytm vs Octatrack for this use, would be the oscillators, and the analog circuit (comp, dist,etc) - not the pads. I mostly use the Octatrack for longer samples and beat mangeling, etc. Also I like improvising, so it is nice to have a "go to" kick, etc, Rather than digging for samples on the OT. But right now I am just trying out stuff to get to know the Analog Rytm. The plan is to use it in a live setup with the Octatrack and the Buchla Music Easel. Kind Regards, Kristian.
