Nice one ! Clever use of the fill button to mute the kick while being able to tweak scenes and perfs. Also, you may just have solved one of my main issues: use scenes instead of mutes so you don't have to remember what/when to mute/unmute for each pattern of your set. I need to try all that.
@audioreakt3 жыл бұрын
yeah using scene to mute scene was suggested by one of my subscriber in the comment, and it's pretty smart. the only shame is that you only have 48 parameter that you can map, which can be not enough sometime...

Nice! The only thing that bothered me is that at times the kick’s transient (click) disappears/changes. I guess it’s due to the phase difference with the rumble which triggers at the same time. Happens to me also sometimes

Amazing jam! Are those stabs and arpy lead sounds samples or from the bass machine? And what do you think of the kick machines, can you easily make a satisfying hard and distorted kick without getting to boomy?
@audioreakt3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, the arp yes it's from sample but you could easily do with the double vco. The stab is sample as well. Next week I will explain each part so stay tuned if you want to find out more . The kick machine is really really good. Very punchy kick, I didn't try to make industrial techno with yet but I am pretty sure it's possible.

Dope. Do you find having this makes the Push a bit redundant in your setup?
@audioreakt3 жыл бұрын
Not at all. Push 2 remain my main controller. And I will use the rytm sometime to add drums. But sometimes I don't use the rytm on my tracks, or just like for a hats or other. But really like the fact that I can grab the rytm alone on my knee, and create/ craft an idea on it. I will then jam with it and see where the track can go. Then I will jump in Ableton and arrange and add final touch. I want to make a video about my workflow with the rytm but later this year, I need more time to really know how I like to use it

@@audioreakt Nice. I really like the idea of changing between workflows and ways of thinking about production and arrangement. It just makes you want to play when you look at it. My setup would be the Push2, AR, and a Microfreak. Not what I had planned, but I'm happy about where it's going.
@audioreakt3 жыл бұрын
@@onsite2406 yeah that's something I rediscover with the rytm, changing workflow it's really good to think differently ... The sequencer of the rytm is pretty unique and pretty awesome ! @TEHBILB3 жыл бұрын
great stuff, both of these jams, really helped fast track learning how to use mine. is there any particular reason why in both you kept your rumble in a separate track and not put it in the sample slot of track 1? I feel like in most breakdowns you'd be muting/HPFing both in the same way so might as well keep them together and free up a track - if you just want to mute one you could always do that via a scene/perf?
@audioreakt3 жыл бұрын
thanks, I think it's because if I want to low pass filter the rumble and add a bit of reso I need it to be on a separate channel. But true I could like make sure the rumble is perfect when resample and use it as sample with the kick. I need to try again, but I think I've tried before and and didn't like it because then you can't really apply the filter or even distortion without affecting the kick...
@TEHBILB3 жыл бұрын
@@audioreakt yeah fair enough, I suppose if you want to be able to tweak them independently during the track then it's best to keep them separate, but of course it always depends on the track so it's great that you've got both options. I had a go yesterday after watching your first jam and was pretty happy with the sample so just kept them both in one, put a HPF on one perf pad and bit reduction on another (added some great pumping noise) so I can dial those in as needed during breakdowns. not sure if I've seen you do it but have you spotted that if you switch out of the perf page while holding a pad down it stays fixed at that level? it's incredibly useful as it lets you basically use them like a scene but with more granular control plus you can have more than one "active" at a time - to cancel one just go back to the perf page and tap the pad. you can do similar stuff by changing the Qperf assignment after dialing something in with the knob. man this box is crazy!
