Analog Sustain Pedal Controlling Digital Piano

Hello! I am undertaking a similar project as well (with a Casio Privia keyboard as well) for an aux keys setup with my church/band. I was wondering what brand of sustain pedal you used and what problems you encountered when undertaking this project. Thanks!

I just used the cheap, small sustain pedal they include in the box. I didn't want to take apart a nice weighted one. The issues I encountered: getting the rubber boot to stay on the circuit board under the piano pedal. If I remember correctly, I had to tap it to get it to stay there. Also, finding the right position for the board under the piano pedal was tough. I wanted the sustain to engage at a normal spot in the pedal press - not too early, not too late. It took a bit of moving it around before I liked how it felt. The last thing to think about is how you're going to keep the little circuit board from moving around. There was a hole in mine, so I put a nail through it. You'll want to find a way to keep it in place, or it'll run off on you! Good luck!
