A great little device to help convert Analog to digital. I can see many different reasons to use this, but for me, it will mainly be there to help me on old camcorder tape capture nights!! Yeah, call me sad!
I was disappointed that a coax cable wasn't thrown in. And I had to cut a chunk of the video out as I wasn't happy that there was no power light on the back of the device like every other small factor converter out there... then I noticed after filming that there is a power light but it's on the top not the back like the others.
I say, if everyone else puts it on the back there is a reason. Yeah, that's where we, technicians look! So I can imagine during a live event if I lost sound I would be frantically checking everything as quickly as possible. I would have to remember that this one item has its power on top. To me a silly place to put the light as if it's part of a setup it would probably be slid down the side of something due to its small size.
But this might just be me...
I did find myself playing with it after I filmed it and I can see lots of combos with other devices.
All in all, a great build at a high quality... I just don't like the power light placement.
I hooked this up to a device in a previous video and had a play, finding some fun combos and different ways of splitting and converting signals. (I did not film this as it was just me playing, but if people want more on converting signals, drop a message below!!!

I tried this advise... I bought the Analog to Digital converter... insert all cable and to the optical cable to my soundbar.........but my soundbar cant recognized the signal... I press input select but only HDMI BT and TV ... the optical cable is not recognized (Sony HT G700 my soundbar) can you help me about this?

wtf? where's the review at? you didn't even power it up. i want to know what it sounds like. is there a lot of noise in the signal? i know what the thing looks like, how to open a box, how to connect it, and how to read, i just wanted to know if it was worth spending a few dollars on based on it's performance.

trying to connect a record player to a soundbar. record player has analog out but soundbar only has hdmi and optical. would this be the correct solution. i see a lot of info about DAC but not much about ADC

I bought the same thing for connecting with jbl sound bar optical input and a yaber projector that has Av Input. Any assistance on how I can fix So audio plays thru the sound bar 😢

From your projector you will have to find audio out, for my setup I was using jack 3.5 from the projector to converter and then optical goes to sound bar.
