Perfect timing for this vid -It's like you read my mind. I had set aside Friday night to just play around with my SE-02 and learn more about it. But instead I watched this video 😂

Digging through your library to get me some extra info on the Minitaur. Great video! Learned a lot last year which makes me pick up different things from your old videos now 🎵

great to see the frequency analysis mane ! been trying some of this seperation by EQ out myself for my boom bap sound design adventures. its so essential to get this aspect down. applied it to a drum pack i made from real kit sounds recently and then everything made sense for that genre and style. and damn i found the dilla bass sound on my model earlier today with the attention this frequency rabbit hole gives you.

i have a behringer TD-3 sending midi to 3 channels on my MC707, sub bass, bass guitar and e.Piano, don't have all of them in at the same time, ever, too much, but the TD3 sequencer is great at coming up with decent random basslines, that can easy be transposed in my MC707

This applies to getting a good mix in any genre. It's all about making sonic space!

100% correct. Training your ears to find space within the freq spectrum. Thanks for watching!

Very interesting this matter… I’d love to incorporate that layering technique but working with samples, for me it’s a bit more complicated than working with synths (hope that makes sense) For this, instead of analysing the waveforms, i use another of your advices: hearing instead of seeing. Cheers Lucien!

You actually gave me an idea of layering samples. I’ll work it out! Thanks Pablo
