I use for many years only Dynaudio Active speakers from Xeo to Focus. Amazing performance. People can still change the sound with Dirac. I always did with the Xeo using a minidsp SHD. I would love to see a new countour line with better and modern looks active speakers keeping the front baffle but no screws to be seen.

Could you clarify if each driver has its own amp; would the volume knobs of those amps be sufficient for doing the "fine tuning" you are talking about.

One question... If I'm using a DSP with many channels, for example an Audison Bit One HD Virtuoso which has 12 input channels and 13 output channels. In this case, will I be able to dispense with all the physical crossovers that come with the speakers and just use the digital crossovers that are inside the DSP? The scenario considered would be this: right front door with 1 tweeter and 1 speaker; left front door with 1 tweeter and 1 speaker; right rear door with 1 tweeter and 1 speaker; left rear door with 1 tweeter and 1 speaker; trunk with a subwoofer. So there would be 9 speaking devices in total. In this scenario, could all physical crossovers be dispensed with?

no mention of driver hiss noise when hooked straight to them? i gave up on active speakers because i could not find silent active speakers, even tried to build my own, i am sure it is possible to get a silent plate amp i can not spend time on trying all the things.

Silent, as in completely silent unless something is playing? My active Dynaudio speakers don't say a thing unless they're supposed to.

@@zapador one meter away a speaker does not emit sound. if a speaker creates some white noise at increasing volume is another thing, but that has not been a problem i have had.
