I am NOT a Fascist, NOT a National Socialist, and NOT an anti-Semite. And I am NOT promoting said ideologies. This video is discussing events or concepts that are academic, educational and historical in nature. If we do not learn from history, we'll be doomed to repeat it, so this video was created to prevent the disastrous events of the 1930s and 40s from happening again.
So it's time to analyse Nazi anti-Semitic posters and imagery in order to understand the methods that they used to trick you into believing their propaganda.

ABOUT TIK 📝
History isn’t as boring as some people think, and my goal is to get people talking about it. I also want to dispel the myths and distortions that ruin our perception of the past by asking a simple question - “But is this really the case?”. I have a 2:1 Degree in History and a passion for early 20th Century conflicts (mainly WW2). I’m therefore approaching this like I would an academic essay. Lots of sources, quotes, references and so on. Only the truth will do.

I’ve not even attempted to monetize this video… Once you’ve watched the video, let me know if I need to explain anything in more detail. When it comes to the quotes towards the end, I’m happy to go through them line by line if needed to solidify your understanding of the idea presented. A second video will be up later this week talking about the definition of Gleichschaltung, as many of you responded to me about the definition in a recent post, so I want to update everyone. I’m also planning on reading up on more modern “third positionism”, so if any of you have any questions or suggestions regarding that, let me know.

At 3:20 the Jewish man is not just trying to sell her fabric, he's trying to defile her sense of morality by putting her in a garish dress, to remove her from her conservative roots and attire and make her flashy (and probably skimpy). It's as much about subverting cultural norms with materialism as it is about exchanging money. The point of the cartoon was: they will seek to profit from undermining your society.

@@TheImperatorKnight I know I'm late to this, but I will go ahead and answer your question. In Christian theology, one's focus should primarily be love of God above all else. Even good things which the Bible acknowledges as gifts from God such as food, drink, sex, and wealth can become corrupted and perverted into sinful expressions of these things. Nothing wrong with enjoying a good meal, but gluttony is a sin. If you love money (or anything good) more than you love God then it becomes sinful. The Bible is also replete with commands for Christians to be generous with their money and to use it to help the poor and orphans. I hope I explained this decently enough. I'm willing to elaborate if you have questions.

Hi Tik! There is translation of posters in Russian. First one: The first word doesn't have exact translation to English, it can basically mean jew but with some negative tone(it is an offensive word) or more specifically it can mean a jew, who practice usury (or even any person who does this). The second half means "the infection of the nations". Second one: Left top corner means: " Read army soldier! Are you going to 'liberate' nations?" Then bottom text: "At first liberate yourself from you oppressors!" P. S. Word 'зараза' (zaraza) (the middle word in the first poster) can mean plague, infection, disease e.t.c. but it made from word заражать (zarazjat'), which means 'to infect' so there I guess they chose this exact word to make an accent that this is something that might spread if you will contact with it.

@@SchmulKrieger in Polish "zaraz" means "immediately", "just after now" or "in a minute"; for example "zrobię to zaraz po obiedzie", meaning "I will do it next thing after lunch". however, it has no relation to the word "zaraza"; it is rather derived from the Slavic root phrase "za raz", which is made of two words: "za" ("after") and "raz", which means "once" or "a single thing", and is also related to the word "teraz" ("now").

@@SchmulKrieger I don't know Ukrainian that much, but the root seems basically the same: "zaraz" -> "za raz" -> "after the present [day/hour/minute]". still, the origin of the phrase bears no relation to the word "зараза"/"zaraza" (disease, plague, epidemic etc.), which is derived from the prefix "za-" and root verb "razić", wich means "to hit", "to attack" or "to do harm". edit: both Google and Deepl translators claim that Ukrainian word for "tomorrow" is "завтра" ("zavtra"), the same as in Russian. according to them, "зараз" ("zaraz") is Ukrainian for "immediately" or "in just a second", just like in Polish. BTW, the word "завтра" ("zavtra"/"tomorrow") shares its roots with the phrase "за утром" ("za ootrom"), which literally means "after the morning".

For the longest time I never understood the association in Nazis' minds between Jews and communism... until I remembered that Marx was Jewish. Art teacher here, the red and green on the cover of the book: these are complementary colors (opposite on the color wheel) which create TENSION. There are three main complementary pairs: red/green, yellow/purple, blue/orange. When you want to create an opposite effect, you use analogous colors, which are colors next to one another on the color wheel. The white woman in the image with the salesman- she is wearing analogous colors (she is surrounded by green and wearing blue and purple), while the jewish man has purple and green and is holding RED. So she is painted harmoniously while is painted to look chaotic and sickly. JUST because of the colors used! Thank you for pointing this out.

I should also have noted that the lawyers use non-standard German syntax: "Wir haben gemacht ein Geschäft" instead of "Wir haben ein Geschäft gemacht". Anti-Semites attributed such features, along with a characteristic accent, to Jewish speakers as it was thought -- correctly or not -- that their German was flavored by Yiddish or Hebrew elements. Definitely "foreign", definitely "other". And of course you have in the background the upstanding German widow and her son who've just been picked clean by the lawyers.

Propaganda alone can't work, it needs some truth sprinkled in to be bought. It takes two to tango and you must ask "What did the Jews do to Germany that caused so much ire that the Germans supported the fucking Nazis?" that's the uncomfortable reality of "learning from history" a lot of people refuse to accept. You CAN admit without actually supporting what group B did to them (regardless of if it's the Jews, the Chinese businessmen in East Asian countries who have the same stigma Jews do in the West, or any other group).

@@beautifuldonkey6338 Yeah absolutely. Felt like it was pigeonholed in to push a different narrative and doesn’t take any modern socialism into account at all. It’s much broader and more prevalent than it’s ‘roots’. Even then, sure you could argue that it was first used as a term around that time, but socialism as a practice is something that had been done far before and will continue on far after all of that. It’s important to be aware of the history but that shouldn’t devalue the idea as a whole. Capitalism has also been used to do evil, horrific things. It is still doing horrific things, look at the state of the world. I wouldn’t blame every issue in the world on Capitalism and claim that under Socialism there would be no issues, but there’s no way a genuine people first system uncorrupted would have gotten us this far into shit as a planet.

Noe that you mention it, the only German WW2 propaganda I was shown in America was stuff about America criticizing the American government, or German propaganda trying to convince German-Americas to go back to Germany to fight. I never was shown anything like this in school. I do need to give my school credit though for teaching us about the Holocaust and atrocities of the Jews and all the terrible things that happened, my middle school and highschool showed us some very very graphic pictures of what happened. They never really told us exactly how or why it happened though, but that was with basically every war they taught us about, like in WW1 they just taught us a dude was a assassinated and told us what happened in the war with the chain of events, but never told us why that stuff happened, or what lead up to it, how it happened, why they reacted the way they did etc.

Specially the end irritated me a bit because you seemed to forget the role of fascism when comparing Nazis and Marxists. I wrote a thesis about fascism, what it is and how it works. One hypothesis in fascism theories is that fascist are the ones who are allied with capitalists to reach their ideological goals i.e. the 13 sings of Ur-Fascism. I think this makes the whole thing a little bit more complex and throws a different light on the socio economic power dynamic between capitalists, socialist and Jews. I felt obliged to comment this point of view because, although amazing work, your Video seemed to try to defend capitalism/liberalism from any hypothetical arguments.

General George S. Patton, a 3-star war general in the US Army, was put in charge of managing the US side of the newly demilitarized Germany, following the Allies victory in WW II. Patton soon familiarized himself with his job at hand and with the people he was working with. He then started to see things in a different light. He was getting to know his new Russian Counterparts and was supposed to help dole out “justice” and destroy the German war infrastructure. Patton was gravely concerned over the Soviet failure to respect the demarcation lines separating the Soviet and American occupation zones. Patton’s duties as the military governor took him to all parts of Germany and intimately acquainted him with the German people and their condition. He could not help forming a favourable opinion of German people. He came to believe that the Allies had destroyed what could have been a good race and exposed Eastern Europe to the danger of Soviet occupation. All this experience led him to believe that America had been fighting the wrong enemy, Germany instead of Russia.

"Jews couldn't own land in medieval Europe" - Yes they could. In some places in some times they could not, but it was not the norm, and you will find examples of jewish farmers, landlords, capital owners of other kinds, all over the place. England is maybe the most prominent example of the opposite, where the crown reclaimed the lands of indebted lesser knights by creating such a law in the 13th century. You can read "N. Roth, Medieval Jewish Civilization: An Encyclopedia" for a scholarly source which calls this proposition "patently absurd". This argument retains its prevalence by value of sounding credible enough, rather than actually having any evidence.

Only a slight error at around the 20:20 mark Tik. While it’s true that the anti usury laws made most bankers Jews, there were actually some Christian’s bankers that found loopholes like the Italian Medici family. Basically they charged no interest, but high late fees. If a client paid on time to avoid late fees, they were blacklisted from ever getting a loan again from anywhere. Basically they charged interest without calling it interest.

I always tried to tell them how their worldview unintentionally fueled Nazi propaganda and to teach them how just because Marx himself was ethnically Jewish he was a staunch antisemite, as he was nothing more than a self hating Jew, unfortunately all but one of them actually listened to what I said and didn’t call me a Nazi. I'd like to suggest to TIK that he takes a look at the antisemitism of the Russian anarchist Bakunin as even more so an influence of Hitlers antisemitism than marx was. It was Bakunin who first conflated the Marxists and the Jews as a shadowy plot by the Jewish capitalists to control the world. His analysis was identical to hitler, hitler seems to have copied and pasted it from him. Hitler was mesmerised by Wagner.Wagners themes permeated his world view Wagner was an anarchist who'd actually fought alongside Bakunin during the Dresden uprising. And according to a lengthy analysis by the socialist writer GB Shaw in the late 1890s the character Siegfried from Wagners ring cycle was simply an avatar for Bakunin and his struggle against capitalism. Bakunin also believed that Jews should be exterminated wholesale, as did his tutor Proudhon. No surprise then that the very first "fascist" organisation was known as Cercle Proudhon. Hitlers John the Baptist was Houston Stuart Chamberlain, an occultist who's main political influence seemed to be Proudhon and earlier pre Marxist socialism. And who was a Wagner fanatic who started societies to promote wagners work across Europe. Mussolini too was an anarchist at heart, and the founders of Italian fascism were pretty much a who's who of the edge Lord anarchist scene in Italy. It seems national socialism was largely a cut copy paste job of Marx, engels, Bakunin and proudhon. Lebensraum was most definitely Karl marxs idea first. Engels declared that numerous ethnities were nothing more than " racial trash" who'd have to be exterminated to make way for the new socialist order. These were all left wing ideas I'm afraid.

My Russian is terrible but the middle word at 14:00 is 'zarasa'. It comes from a verb that means 'to be infected or catch disease' or something like that. Zarasa is a slang-like noun version of that word that just generally means 'bad person' (something akin to jackass or loser in severity). I never knew what the word meant precisely but I grew up with Russian parents and they used it as a derogatory term. I only just now asked my dad exactly what it meant and the link it has to disease makes a lot of sense in this poster.

A lot of them have anime character profile pictures. People even those who despise both Marxist and nazism can't seem to handle that fact. Both Marxism and nazism are socialist ideologies. A foolish attempt to answer the question left by the definition. Who has social ownership to the means of production? Along with how both, likely most if not all forms of socialism, are anti-semitic. Karl simply thought a cashless society was enough to destroy Judaism as a faith. Hitler came to the conclusion that even if they dropped Judaism they're still Jewish. Still a point of corruption. The Conspiracy is a delicate subject that must be analyzed with tweezers. In any case, the relationship that the Jews were given to the communists was not surprising, since it is a fact that many of the Bolshevik leaders in the Russian Revolution who helped Lenin were of Jewish origin such as Zinoviev, Kamenev, Trotsky, Radek and Kaganovich. One of the commissars responsible for the assassination of the Tsar and his family, Yakov Yurovski, was also a Jew. Another thing, of course, is that most of that old Bolshevik guard ended up being purged by Stalinism decades later. Also its important to point out that almost of all of Europe didn't care or actually disliked the jews too. In the war saving them was not a priority for the Allies despite what some people like to claim and in the East they were hated way more than in Nazi Germany. Also most of the antisemitism was also pragmatic or in some cases opportunistic. Here in Spain the dislike for jews was mostly from a catholic religious perspective and in fascist parties such as the NSB in Netherlands, PNF in Italy or even the Ustasa on Croatia they even had relationships with jewish people. And then there is Conducator Antonescu who actually prevented the deportations of romanian jews despite the deaths in Ukraine. Same with the role of Horthy in Hungary which I see there is a lot of debate too.

The point of Marx was that any "Jewish religion" (as in any religion based on what he saw as Judaism) is heathenry to the Socialist religion, he was advocating the Jews (and those of the "Jewish religions") to abandon their religion and adopt the Marxist religion , and if they did not they should be exterminated. Its quite interesting how often the atheist religions adopt more heavy handed inquisitions then the Catholic church ever did.

You should’ve pointed out in the first picture that there was a hammer and sickle next to the Jews because although Hitler was a “national socialist” he just appropriated the aesthetic and really hated communism. The hammer and sickle next to the Jew references “judeo Bolshevism”

exactly and “cultural bolshevism” is now phrased as “cultural marxism”. fascists pretending to be pro-worker or pro-labor and pro-intellectualism are the oldest tricks in the alt right playbook. there was no “socialist party” in nazi germany. fucking idiots. great analysis!

Really interesting. The use of green to represent evil was used in early Marvel comics. Think Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Electro , Vulture. I also struggled to understand how the Nazis have been deemed to be a fascist party and why did they describe themselves as National Socialists . Your explanation makes sense. Their philosophy was based on racial socialism and atheism, totally distinct from fascism in Spain, Italy and Portugal which was strongly aligned with the Roman Catholic church

Thats because Fascism & Nazism are two completly different things. How does Nazi come from National Socialism, where does the Z come from? Seems to me that its more likely National Zionism hence why Gaza is modeled on the Warsaw Ghettos....Then theres the Havaara agreement beteween the Zionist leadership & the Nazi's to get out the country but leave all the Jews behind so they could pop off & create their own ethnostate called Israel......Whats that saying again from the founder of Zionism..."The Antisemite will be greatest ally"They called themselves Socialists for the simple reason they wanted the working class support & then their Western Capitalist funders could say look the Nazi's were Socialists despite the fact they killed all the Socialists & Communists & trade unionists before they got around the Jews. First they came for Socialists & I didn not speak out, then they came for the Communists & I did not speak out,you know the rest.

Italy was the only fascist state. Mussolini coined it himself. Spain was more of a stereotypical dictatorship. Portugal I can't explain that mess but definitely wasn't comparable to Italy's fascism. It was most certainly more Christian based given who ran Portugal as also a rather unknown dictator. I can describe the start of the Portuguese "republic" as literal anarchy by anarchists who somehow thought targeting the vast 90% of their religious population was a good idea. Them came the former.

Actually, the word "cholera" comes from a very old root, either very ancient Greek or even Indo-European, which means "yellow-green." There was also Hungarian and Romanian fascism.
