If I understand the story correctly, Doomsday Clock says that Superman can't be erased from the Multiverse, and that all incarnations of Superman are the one and the same person. So, it would be interesting if Superman would be able to access his Superman Blue abilities when fighting Dr Manhattan.

Yeah, basically what I think they were going for in this story is to show that in the whole entire DC multiverse, and beyond honestly as shown in milk wars, Superman is literally the key and center of all of it. You seem like someone who really understands this, because I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it. So, a boom tube more compounds your strength and size, not really multiplies it evenly. In other words, when Superman got crushed by apocalypse and new Genesis, I know that is way infinitely more impressive than two plants crushing you, but since Superman is being scaled up in power, if you use an actual scale, isn't that equal to him actually just tanking two planets in the normal multiverse? I was reading the books at the time of Superman Blue. The change was the result of several factors: Talos attempting to shrink him and the process being stopped midway, his powers burning out during Final Night, and the different attempts to recharge his powers. I don't know how that all worked to alter him but that's what the writers said in Wizard magazine at the time.

The two of them opposing each other has become so common that many just don't question the man vs god aspect of it. Much of Batman's bravery torward Superman is dependent on Batman[s trust of Superman doing the right thing, like not killing him.

Death could not come between the relationship he and Louise had. Didn't Kirby intend Darkseid to usually be stronger than Superman? Man, he got jobbed so hard Post-Crisis. The animated series did him justice at least by being intelligent, darkly charismatic and someone Superman really had to struggle to beat

Darkseid was absolutely phenomenal in post crisis, his best stories are literally from post crisis like final crisis, Superman: The Dark Side and death of the new gods. It's just that Post Crisis Superman's character arc is more about him having to deal with more abstract problems like his own subconscious desire to hold back and so it naturally makes Superman retroactively far more powerful than Darkseid once he overcomes that hurdle. Kirby only intended for Darkseid to be a pressing threat to a pre crisis Superman not necessarily just stronger than him.

I know the reason Superman blue came into being. You're not going to find the answer by reading Superman comics because it happened in a standalone four comic series called Final Night. Long story short, a sun eater ate the sun which is what powers Superman. Hal Jordan Green lantern as Parallax, created a new sun and absorbed the sun eater into himself. From that point forward, Superman's power began to change because the sun was different. That's where Superman blue emerge, and then they went professor dude made him a suit.

Is Kismet that weak? Superman tapped into a source that is more powerful than her own power who represents a universe. Man DC's gods aren't that impressive from the looks of it. World Forger gets one shotted by the Kryptonian who passed through several suns in nanoseconds, Superman breeches Darkseid' body who has the power of thousands of New Gods, overpowers Parasite with the power of Kismet, and beats an amped Doomsday with 5-D magic. What else? Edit: I also sometimes see Superman can't lift the Moon or the Earth as Superman needed help from the JL like the one time they needed to burn the white martians, so Superman is limited in some cases that contradict other showcases such as the time with the Infinite Pages and The Spectre.
