Adding this in because people keep leaving comments about "Superman being weak to magic". The powers that Spawn uses aren't anything like DCs magic at all and so there is no reason that they should just randomly gain it's benefits. Spawns powers aren't even considered magic in verse most of the time, they are just "hell powers" or "divine powers". Additionally Superman isn't even "weak" to magic, it's just that he is as susceptible as everyone else. As I mentioned in the video Superman deals with power magic users like Pre Crisis Mordru all the time. Once you start getting into the realm of reality warping and having the ability to fight back against abstract concepts and stuff it sort of nullifies logic completely and we can't really have a discussion about things anymore, especially when it's concerning two fictional individuals who've transcended the rules of their own reality. Any argument you make can be nullified. Both sides say "My character turns off the other characters reality warping and plot armor with their God powers", and it's completely arbitrary as to who the real winner is at that point, because feats no longer mean anything. Therefore, I say narratives where the character transcends their own story aren't fair representations to use in a theorycrafted cross-fictional battle.

Hell, he could’ve even killed Manchester black and the rest of the elite but chose not to. Mother of existence is Image's version of the almighty. So God Spawn, being one with MoM, would not even need to try to kill Superman, or an "infinite number of gods and satans". MoM could do it, and God Spawn is only God Spawn when backed by that power. So by fact of who is giving him powers, he's basically omnipotent. So no, Superman is not the most OP character in existence like some say, he has limits, and no one should take comic scans in videos as facts. Buy the comics, or read them online, and critically think about what's presented. Not just the look, but the words used to describe when something is happening. God Vegeta can’t lift something mundane like 10,000 pounds. Darkseid fell down some stairs. Thanos gets mugged or arrested by normal humans. This happens to all characters in fiction that have been around for a long time. Because humor is a thing, and writers like to make cool and interesting stories, or funny stories. But none of that means high end feats disappear magically. Anyone arguing “inconsistent” bs is being disingenuous. We are talking about escapist fiction created for entertainment. “Inconsistent” Isint a great argument against a character like Superman. Etc.

And this here is the one major problem i have with your powerscaled Superman. It puts him on a level of power where he pretty much can't be used for VS Matches. Because, dare i say, most franchises in fiction don't have a cosmology (Multiverse and Beyond) that scales to the sheer size of DC's (as its presented in your video on the topic). So just by virtue of where Superman would stand in that cosmology, other characters wouldn't really have feats that stack up, just by the mere fact that they literately don't have large enough worlds to have feats in. All in all if this interpretation of Superman's power became the standard it would be a real bummer since VS are one of my favorite parts of fandom (when people can remain civil) and Superman is one of my favorite characters but he just wouldn't be fair against most opponents. Guess there actually can be such a thing as "Too Powerful" lol

I agree him being this powerful at his peak does prevent most vs match ups which is a shame. Fortunately the way I've done it actually makes it possible to still do them. Like without this "story of superman" interpretation (which is more consistent) anyone could just argue that that is how strong Superman is when he's not holding back. At least this way you can restrict the Story of Superman from the match up.

Marvel's cosmology is insanely inconsistent and contradictory which is the main reason I haven't already done a video on it. I think symbolically, that both Superman and Batman cannot die. Superman is Hope and Batman is Vengeance. Both these ideas cannot live without a fall, these ideas come as a punishment to evil's wrongdoings, ideas that change the previous actions of the sinful world. I guess you can call them Tulpas, manifestations of conceptions and thoughts. Spawn is just an overpowered (but still really good) character who doesn't compare to the philosophy involved with DC.
