Sorry you haven't had any luck with packs. Keep going. Playing Clubs a lot can help build cash to open Ceramics. You just need to keep trying in events and challenges.

I found it took me nearly 2 years to really start making my mark in the game. if you're free to play then grinding clubs is your best option. Also if you can get the daily objectives coin, I would save up as many a you can in readiness for the next update. Whenever that will be.
