*International law* is very clear on the South China Sea: - parts of it belong to ASEAN countries comprising the Philippines 🇵🇭, Vietnam 🇻🇳, Malaysia 🇲🇾, Indonesia 🇮🇩, and Brunei 🇧🇳, - the rest of it is the international water, - no part of it belongs to China🇨🇳 or Taiwan🇹🇼.

Oh, please consult a map. The vast rapids on the Mekhong at the Cambodian/Laos border prevent navigation. There will not be any direct access for China. I have seen a few videos from this channel all making the same basic geographic mistake. You can't traverse those rapids. To engineer them to do so would require an entire new vast megaproject. I have been to that region and stayed on islands in the rapids. Cheers from Kampot!

It is hard to explain the anti china people about the foreign military base in Cambodia. We experienced once and trapped into war for many decade, there is no reason to let others foreign military to stay in here once again. We welcomed all countries to visit the Ream naval base, our leader clearly mention that several times. Somehow some news media became the enemy to the ordinary people.

To Mr Lai, you should do more study about the Chinese military in Cambodia before you do a public speech otherwise you should shut up. To Taiwan Talks, you should find someone who speaks better English to interview.

Cambodia was and remains a colonial space to China. So poor and repressed by their ruling class, which are the old residue of Pol Pots era of the red guard/Khmer Rouge. This red connection is generational, with a common anti-Vietnamese lineage of shared animosity..
@ozziebugga9725Ай бұрын
It has zero to do with the Khmer Rouge residue. It has everything to do with Chinese money. Cheers from a 24 resident of Cambodia mate.

@@ozziebugga9725 this is death trap diplomacy similar to many African countries and poor Asian countries. Death trap diplomacy the Pakistan case. Pakistan Seeks Fresh Loans: China Targeted with New Schemes | Vantage with Palki Sharma Oct 29 2024 Pakistan's Finance Minister, Muhammad Aurangzeb, was in Washington for an IMF and World Bank meet. He used the trip to try and canvas for fresh loans. Aurangzeb appproached multiple countries and institutions with new schemes to secure more bailouts for Pakistan's financially unstable government. He also asked for an additional billion dollars from the IMF, and $1.4 Billion from China. Aurangzeb also wants China to rollover even more debt. Will China agree to bail Pakistan out once again?
