Probably because they went from having a publisher to publishing the game themselves. Maybe they got something else cooking.

The Devs update and patch the game constantly. It's even up to Season 7 of Battle Pass (finishing very soon), with Season 8 on the way. The game was quite popular at one point when Aeria Games were publishing it, but back in 2020 they decided to pull the pin on it and the Devs (Wiple, who contractually had an Asia-only version on Steam at the time) opened their version up globally, opening new servers to replace those that Aeria closed. A huge portion of the player base believed the game died when Aeria closed their servers as it wasn't really expressed clearly by Aeria/Gamigo that the Devs were going global with their version. It's a shame, but even with what seems like a very small player base you can find matches quickly. The main issue is you may constantly get lumped in with far more experienced players than perhaps you should if you are a newish player. Is what it is with a smaller player base. If you've got a CoD background though, Ironsight will feel like home!

as much as I love the COD4 to BO2 era of call of duty, I'm kinda glad that MW2019 didn't feel like the old games. the gunplay i would argue feels like it if not better imo. maps were more open without feeling too big like in ghosts. its almost like the old games but is still its own thing.

MW19 was a game you either really loved or completely hated. I could never get into it personally. The engine looks and feels great. But other than that there’s nothing that makes me wanna play that game. Of the last 3 CODs tho it would be the one I would choose to play if I had to pick.

MW19 brought me back to CoD big time, while I can see why people dislike the slower pace and map layouts, I personally loved it. It made learning maps and where to anticipate gunfights more of a challenge, but that's more engaging to me. I also love Vanguard's MP for the same reason Jarek stated, its basically more MW19 (but faster-paced with the lobby options) with a retro-futuristic WW2 skin. Roll on MW'22, can't wait to see what other changes the IW team have for the franchise.

Trust me and Jarek and anyone else who has poured lots of time into this game, its really fucking good. also as a side note for anyone who wants to download: this game will give you lots and lots of credits from challenges and ranking up. you will most likely (if you get lucky enough) have almost all weapons unlocked and ready to use after only a few hours. There are crates in this game but I would say they are just kinda there and dont ruin any sort of progression. And occasionally you will get those from ranking up. There is even a daily reward system that gives you a time limited weapon, exp/credits booster, a cosmetic. I only put about 20$ into the game just cuz I enjoy the game so much and was like "eh might as well get this fancy weapon skin" Even the weapon variants dont do anything balance wise to guns; just a fancy skin with a different flashier reload. Right now on steam i have put maybe about 124 hours and before it was on steam about 100 hours. I honestly cant believe a F2P pvp shooter somehow isnt P2W.

I want a situation like this, where some devs want to play an old game again, and so they just blatantly rip it off, to happen with SOCOM. We kind of had it with H-Hour, and some of the guys who made SOCOM worked on it, but... That game is just horrible. Apparently a new SOCOM game is being shown off this year though so I hope that's true.

Same thing happened with Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and SWAT 4. We want games that keep the original style of the series, we don't receive it, so the creators went ahead to make their own like Ground Branch (made by the original devs of R6 and GR) and Ready Or Not (made by fans of SWAT 4).

You might also like promod, it's in early alpha and you can request access on steam and they check it and give access out a few times a month typically. It's a recreation of COD4 promod in unreal engine, and my god it's some black magic. They're really close to the exact feel of the movement and gunplay. There's some marketplace placeholder weapons in it still right now from some sci-fi stuff, but they've been focusing on nailing down the movement and gunplay first, and it shows.

When I first tried Ironsight a while ago, I was really turned off because I wanted certain guns, but it took forever to get the credits to permanently buy them. But if the economy has changed since then and is as good as you say, I'll definitely have to give it another try. Also I'm pretty sure support streaks are from MW3, I used to run those because I was bad at the game. I'm just glad MW2019 still has a decent player base. Everyone came back after Cold War and Vanguard released busted as hell.

The COD4 era was the gold standard. MW2 is my favorite but damn WAW holds a special place in my heart. I never would have guessed you liked COD multiplayer. I have a weird relationship with it like I’ve been playing since COD3 and I’m not a fan of the newer games but nothing has the same feel. For me I periodically go “oh yeah cod multiplayer is a thing” and I’ll play it a bunch then abruptly stop and go back to other games. It’s like comfort gaming. 10:46 THANK YOU!!!

Gun feeling in CoD games (since CoD4 to pre-new Modern Warfare - which is awesome but different) is just perfect, i would say only original DooM (and it's many mods) and FEAR had equally legendary shooting mechanics - it's pretty much one of three archetypes of fps gun feeling. I wish to see one day some crazy cold war black ops themed open world fps with CoD mechanics and Black Ops style

This game looks so damn smooth and simple. People keep wanting 3 lane maps but Treyarch seems to no longer be able to make good ones because they take it so literal. 3 lane maps in Cold War for example are almost literally 3 lanes with no real flank routes and areas. Maps also miss the small little elements of details that make them standout and different. 3 lane maps in recent COD games feel almost all the same in different environments.

Man I'm glad this video came up in my recommendations definitely needed it. I fell off with the COD franchise at ghosts then picked it up with MW2019, and that was when it felt like cod was back and refreshing. I know it's not a popular opinion but I had fun with Cold War, but Vanguard right now is borderline unplayable for me, not in a gameplay sense but in a technical way, when it works, it's fine I've had fun in a few matches, there was an article somewhere saying that the development of Vanguard was all over the place, it makes sense why the game doesn't feel right and has so many issues. I'm looking forward to trying this game out, it really looks like it gives off black ops2 vibes which was one of my favourite COD games. I love the fact that the maps look so memorable, almost nostalgia like. Is the game updated regularly and have a decent amount of content ? Really interested to try this out. It's recently got voice chat, and has a bunch of maps and a lot of guns...5 bolt action snipers as well for sniper lovers and the maps are black ops 2 like. Plus nothings p2w, anything you buy its only cosmetic, its a real gem of a cod few know about. Only issue is, when there's some netcode issues when there's high ping players but other than that, its solid through and through, and has a really good roadmap up ahead.

Ironsights was the game for me back in 2017 when I couldn't afford a COD game back then. Now, it's fun to jump into once in a while. Unfortunately, it takes a while for me to even find some matches now than it was 4 years ago. Though, I still prefer Vanguard in my opinion, but this game is great fro those who prefer the more grounded nature of the older COD games.

This game is insane, And yes. the sniping is the same, if not more broken then bo2 quick scoping, thankyou so much for bringing light to this game, it really is one of the hidden games that should've exploded after COD's failure. its one of those games you can hop on and chuck you tube in the background and just have some satisfying fun, and it genuinely has been so much more fun then the newer cods since your not playing like you've got a gun to your head every single game the good players are at the top and you learn quickly just like bo2, it runs incredibly well (*3060 300+fps capped) And 0 SBMM and even for AUS there seems to be good community behind the game as well, and progression, at least 2h in seems extremely fair and they set you up quite well in the beginning and everything is extremely reachable but you can always buy skins and camos if you really want to.

Normally I'd side with CoD simply because it's one of the few franchises left that still gives a damn about it's PvE base. But surprisingly, Ironsight seems to have bots too. It's even listed as "Single Player" on the Steam page. That is a huge plus for me. Also loving the Black Ops Ii aesthetic.

Oh man I miss playing this game. Me and another guy raced to have the first gold famas in na servers. I think I won but I'm not sure. Wish the comp scene was still popular. It was pretty sweet for the first few tournaments. Btw the ar-57 used to be the most op gun in the game. It was so bad that for the first tournament it was banned and the firefly used to be so annoying but so much fun! In scrims I used to plant the bomb and wait around the corner and wait before throwing that out and fucking them over last second. So much fun

The firing range where you can test guns sold it for me. Its downloading now. I miss the cod4 to black ops 2 era of cod. ITs nostalgia cause thats all I played, and I prefer it over the modern stuff. I stopped playing around blops3 and cod4 remaster when I realized they just cared for money (wow shocker) when they introduced loot boxes with overpowered weapons where if you didnt use it, you were at the disadvantage. And they ruined it for me. So I am def happy and looking forward to giving Ironsight a shot. Seeing the gameplay, looks so much fun.

I know zombies are by and large not your thing Jarek, especially CoD zombies, but it's interesting that recently I bought CoD: Infinite Warfare on sale for like $7 and I have to say, everything you say in this video happens to be why that game unironically has my favorite zombies mode bar none outside of zombie centric games like Killing Floor/Killing Floor 2. The theme park launch map is beautifully designed, interactive as hell, and allows for those pinch moments while never feeling unfairly designed to constrict the players, and the guns are all stupid fun. Never played the MP with them, but in zams they're great. Just thought it was interesting how you mention these very same things, just for the MP

You really weren't joking, when you first showed that "looks like hijack" footage I legit thought it was just BO2 gameplay.
