Thank you so much sir! I've been scrolling for hours and hours and I had been stuck on this subject for already a week until I just found your video. The explanation is so clear, calm and it is the only video that actually made me understand what I was doing and how to interpret the results. The other videos were helpful to understand why you run an Ancova and how you run it in SPSS, but I feel like they just kind of skipped the part of interpreting and understanding the results. Please watch the video for details. When add the variable as covariate we are actually letting the software know that itnis a control variable.
