Sir, If in a plan two nearest columns grids are just 100 to 150 mm apart how we model it. Can we model both on same grid or we model it as per what ever is the distance? Like you take example for G+6 design series there also some columns centre lines very near to each other's 150 too 200 mm. How then we model it?

If the column is very near then try using single column in case if single cannot be placed then use two columns but u have to make sure u provide combined footing for both the nearby columns

@@Sacademicus I say sir, two vertically grid lines suppose A and B are 150 mm apart and two horizonal grid lines say 1 and 2 are about 3.5 m apart. Now, In plan one col placed at intersection of grid lines A & 1 and another col is at intersection of grid lines B & 2 , how we model it?

If it is RCC Column make it one with larger dimension along the grid where spacing is 150 mm In case of Steel Structure if optimization is required then model seperate

@@Sacademicus so you say we make both as large column along 150 mm side grid. Ok.we do this way and but we place both columns Centre on same grid line and both columns Centre on different grid along 150 mm side can it makes any major difference?

There will be eccentricity but the software will take care of it..
