I REALLY enjoy these types of videos. Watching you and learning what you're doing is one thing, but to hear your throught process, having the knowledge that leads you to do certain things explained, it's so much more valuable for someone trying to improve. I never would've realised that the type of perception attack your character has could affect how well they do against Afterimage Strike, which is my biggest hurdle in climbing ranked. Unfortunately I play Single as Super Broly so I can't exactly use that info but I am glad I know it now regardless. That's not to say I dislike the straight-up gameplay, just that these sorts of videos are a lovely treat.

@@alwuhugaming Quick question, when you're countering wild sense and you say to vanish it, which form of vanish? I know you can vanish during your combos by holding block and moving to vanish around your opponent, but there's also just tapping the block button just before you get hit, and there's also vanish strike, when you hit X and A (xbox, standard) at the same time. Just wondering which one you're referring to.
@alwuhugaming3 ай бұрын
@@JakeIGuessyes do the vanish that you can do to follow up in a combo string. Vanishing the wild sense attack itself is very difficult cuz it’s a very tight frame window. It’s more of a dodge using your vanish than actually vanishing the wild sense. Maybe I should’ve clarified that more. Great question from you
@JakeIGuess3 ай бұрын
Got it! Also, currently watching the video in bed, the match at around 30 minutes that you theorise your opponent is magicking, it’s worth considering that he picked hyperbolic time chamber in the previous match when he ragequit so it’s probably his PC is just running like ass. There’s two types of lag that plague these anime fighters; connection lag and framerate lag. When your opponent has a bad connection, your inputs are delayed and the match will pause intermittently for like a second or two. But when your opponent has a bad framerate it means they literally cannot run the game at the 60fps minimum and since there’s no frame skipping for them to keep them in pace with your game, it means your game will slow down so their game can keep up. I _think_ the game shows you in the bottom right which type of lag is being experienced. The WiFi symbol is the connection, whereas the bars are the performance. I could be wrong about that, but any time my opponent’s game is running like ass, the bars in the right always turn red.

I use vanishing assault to escape from Brawler Grabs, so like Reccoome, Broly’s, Spopovich, etc. especially if I’m guarding/perceptioning, it’s usually pretty tough to side dodge from guard, despite the grabs being slower but they’re easy to see because of the dark flash around the screen, so it’s an easy ‘vanish’ for me, and oftentimes it’s saved me from a grab into ult ‘combo’. I agree that it’s a poor ability for aggressive attacks, but decent utility for defence. I might start vanish assaulting charged heavies to save skill points.

I love the commentary, keep on it 🙏btw, what do you think about the fact we getting a balance patch on December?
@alwuhugaming3 ай бұрын
I don’t mind it. I do think some things need to be balanced. I’m not sure what they’re going to balance tho. I hope they go about it the right way… I think only changing things 1 at a time is the way to go

These rage quitters learned nothing from Dragon ball.

I like the talk about not just using Supercounter and also using the others, like vanishing. People are way too hung up on SCs
@alwuhugaming3 ай бұрын
Yup people who just tunnel vision on super counters can get punished bad for it. Probably gonna make a separate video for it cuz I played against someone who does the same concept of combos as I do lol. I HAD to vanish him

@@alwuhugaming Staggering it is OP, it just also is so easy to wana rush your inputs and not delay, i guess panic mode. You are a really good player you understand the mindset of your opponent a lot it seems.

Nice, you keep improving, maybe you'll become in a really masterful player that would be like a final boss, even with 3HP / low tier characters

This is really great! I’m not finished with the video yet, but I’m wondering if you’ve found a way to deal with instant sparking, and in particular those who use strong characters to lock people into eating an ult with ki spam. Y’know like a Z Broly or Max Power Jiren. I’m not sure about Jiren, but I know for a fact that Broly doesn’t get hitstunned out of instant spark with normal ki blasts, and if he gets it off, it’s practically impossible for me to do anything about it.

If I have someone with explosive wave, I’ll use explosive wave when they get close to me and I’ll dash away/up/down. I know some people use revenge counter as well in that situation but I’m unsure of the ins and outs of it. I’ve seen other creators do the revenge counter method though

Your tips helping me out , idk if u do this or not, but press on all your buttons while you have minus ki to regain it a lot faster. Im stuck on A3-A2 ranks because most people i encounter stay when they win and leave when they lose , so i only lose exp and not gain any

Rage quitting for an honorary badge on a video game is gotta be the saddest no life loser move ever. Imagine being top z rank and way too ass to even enter a tournament because cheesing doesn’t work against truly skilled players
@E1maXS3 ай бұрын
Best penalty would be for quitting or connection lost would be double the lost amount
@ShinyMoshi2 ай бұрын
You made me actually think this game is not a CHEESE FEST, and broke down how to actually be good. You kind of motivated me to go practice so I can learn some combo's cuz I was just spamming kefla in single battles like a loser.

It's hilarious that a community for a game based on an anime where the main characters literally get stronger with every loss is full of rage quitters.
@lupylave4152 ай бұрын
This is what I was looking for. I was wondering if skill can actually be used in this game. So many videos of people, including dbz KZbinrs I like, playing the game almost the same way. A lot of charging, supers, mindless counter, and sense I don't have the game I'm sitting there going "this kinda looks dumb." Charge into raw ult/super and it works 50% of the time then do it again till you win. Then finally this video proves it all wrong.
@alwuhugaming2 ай бұрын
@@lupylave415 yeah there’s this weird idea going around that this game takes no skill and doesn’t have any concepts from traditional fighting games. The reason why I was able to rank up so easily is because I’ve played traditional fighters and applied the same mental concepts
