The game stated it's best to use blasts against giants.. I think that shooting star move from that one dude would've been useful. My opinion but I know this guy is more of a combo fighter which is why I believe thay fight was super difficult. P.S. I didn't know the Lord Slug can recover Ki automatically

Most of these reasons are exactly what bardock is insanely good qualtiy for DP. He has a Explosive wave built into his INSTANT sparking. Im not kidding, does same damage as explosive wave, same knockback, can use it while youre being comboed/stunned same as explosive wave. But its also an instant sparking. ITs the ultimatre TURN the tables ability

Problem is whenever I use him, I find it inconvenient that it takes 4 skill pts instead of 3 for his instant spark and also 4 instead of 2 for his explosive wave. Often I want to use either one or the other in most instances, not both.

Not just adult gohan. Teen gohan is a monster too. Super ssj2 has a 2 bar kamehameha and a shit ton of buffs just from going sparking. On top of that the base form has full power and later on you get instant sparking in ssj and ssj2. Crazy slept on.

I think they have base at 4 bc they intend for the dlc to be a part of the ultimate gohan character slot. Super hero base gohan will be 5 with ss2 (6) ultimate (already 7) and then the beast transformation (8 but probably 10)

I think a fair and balanced ‘nerf’ for Giant characters is that you shouldn’t be allowed to swap once playing them. Other than obviously changing everything else about them, like golden baby down smash doing so much dmg, or dr wheelo being so cheap, etc.

In sparking mode, giants will get to take 2 health bars from you for free unless you have skill points to spare which it’ll only save maybe half a bar of health if you have full skill points. Regular perception doesn’t do anything. I can see you’re giant player and you’re defensive. Im sure im far better than you considering you don’t even know the difference between super perception and regular perception and why taking one skill point to avoid 1-5 of 20 spams is still something that needs to be nerfed.

37:00 i have found the best way to dodge the thunder shock surprise attack and more specifically galactic donuts is to spam Vanishing assault during the animation so it happens as quick as possible! Hope this helps. Also, after being hit, if you spam buttons, you recover faster

I actually main him, currently sitting at #7 rn on the Gohan boards, not that that matters cause not many play him but 😂, just got demoted to A1 (well A2 now, feels rip) He’s goated, he has good mix and fair damage. But where he truly shines is the fact that in SSJ he can constantly keep his ki up, and close range masenko pumps out damage. Ssj2 is also solid because he does a bit more damage in exchange for full power charge. He does gain an instant sparking but tbh, I personally feel like you’re not really going to be in sparking alot with him anyway, and I only transform after I full power charge when I need to squeeze in an extra hundred or so damage to finish someone off OR if I need to break through Broly’s armor. But its kinda funny, using Ssj2 feels canon: you only bust it out in a pinch.

Very good Team to play with Gohan (Adult) is Vegitto 7DP, Gohan base 4DP, Bardock 4DP or any combo of 2 DP characters or one 3 and Hercule. With this team you can always have full Ki and have many options/opportunities to heal up

Vegito is different cuz he has lots of health and is actually strong. Gotta use perceptions too to stall them out and zone them out with ki until it’s done… throwing in a few grabs if you can manage to make them block. Once you get a lot of practice with it, it’ll be easy.

1 very important thing to note is that when using moves like Explosive wave, you have to make sure they're not in sparking otherwise, you'll knock them back, and they'll raw super you while your arms are still outstretched lol it sucks

I feel like sparking mode is the best tactic against giant characters because it negates super armor and gives you more movement and attack options and with SSJ2, Gohan hits through super armor without sparking and has an instant sparking if needed. One bug though is if you enter sparking and then transform into another form, sparking mode's super armor negation doesn't carry over. You'd have to enter sparking mode again.

Okay brother I don't like hearing that "skill issue" bunk because overwhelmingly it's the guys that are doing the cringe stuff deflecting from themselves. That said, it _is_ a skill issue, just the other way around. When someone ki spams another player into an unblockable ult, then insta sparks right into the next one while the other guy is still falling, that is a skill issue. On the spammers side. They're receiving _wildly_ too large a benefit for little to no risk, and zero skill required. That's what people are mad about. It's wack that in some of these cases you need to be considerably more skilled than someone in your same rank to counter their cheesy tactics. People shouldn't just be carried by strats like that, it's embarrassing. Likewise a lot of people just don't like being forced to effectively pause the fight for 15 seconds, back to back to back, to run away and spam ki blasts to counter someone else's overwhelming advantage.

I run Baby but I pick his base form and then Transform up to Super Baby 2 and depending on the match sometimes Great Ape Baby. Only because I actually like the character. He's really good for quick damage. His block strings are really good in his Super Baby 2 form. Plus he gets full Ki on each transformation. Which combined with his block strings has a beam in each form so you can do a hard knockdown and finish with a beam, transform and repeat without having to open yourself up by charging.

The hard knockdown beams got me so angry 😭 and yeah baby’s transformations are really good! Some characters are way better at it because they’re granted tools when transforming such as the full ki gauge. Gohan gets nothing haha

I’m trying so hard to get good at this game and I just can’t, my movement is awful. I struggle to get behind people just holding perception and I struggle to avoid super spam. The void is where I’m weakest, my combos are nice, I can do bars of health if they don’t super counter, but it’s getting that hit landed where I find my problem.

Yeah idk why they match me with low ranks. It’s why I was able to get a 40+ winstreak at one point cuz they only matched me with B and A tiers for a while lol. I guess there aren’t THAT many S/Z ranks
