A lot of influencers and channels have misinterpreted or trashed this ending for not living up to there expectations of what this shonen was suppose to be. This day in age people are more likely to join on the hate train than actually understand the themes that are being brought to the table. I think the overarching story of Gojo and Yuji throughout this manga is nothing short of beautiful and the final chapter really nails it these aspects. And seeing Yuji finally get through to Sukuna in death, where Sukuna has in that past stated that for him defeat and death are synonymous, is also incredible, as Yuji profoundly changed Sukuna's disposition on strength and emotional connections *without* cheapening Sukuna's character There is one aspect of this story that I still do not get, however, which is Kenjaku. How does the conclusion of Kenny-Takaba fight in 243(?) fare as a sendoff for the mad scientist? How does Kenjaku relate to this theme of strength, if at all, especially considering Kenjaku made the person who thwarted the merger and defeated Sukuna? Would love to hear your thoughts on this

I'm pretty sure the person on Sukuna's left in 271 was Yorozu. And I think that makes the most amount of sense. Sukuna had two paths to choose from. Yorozu wanted to give Sukuna her love, but she never needed him, just wanted to uplift him. Uraume on the other hand, was just a child. Someone in need of a Father/Mentor figure. And I think Sukuna choosing to guide someone like that, going where he was truly needed (wherever he and Uraume end up) was quite beautiful. Sukuna is choosing to live for someone else, just like how Megumi chose to try living again for Yuji. Gege really cooked up quite the masterpiece, and I hope that the people dogging the ending and wishing real misery on Gege never enjoy another series ever again.

Contrary to what many people claim, Gege has demonstrated time and time again that he's a very competent writer who puts untold amounts of love into this story, it's characters, and themes. I just wanted to express my appreciation for your analysis of JJK as a whole throughout it's run. You've allowed me to better understand and appreciate JJK for the wonderful story that it is. I very much enjoyed this last chapter, and was actually quite surprised when so many people said they disliked it. To me it felt like JJK ended on a high note, and now you've helped reinforce that view by reminding me of how well developed characters like Yuji and Gojo were, among so many other things, so thanks for this analysis, it was very informative and I appreciate it. I'm looking forward to what you make in the future!!

@McLovinMcFlurry That is certainly one interpretation of what I said but no lmao. I didn't come here to have "my opinion repeated to me", I came here seeing what this video had to say about JJKs ending. Art is subjective, and you're free to like or dislike JJK for whatever reasons you want. But *I* (for my own reasons) sincerely enjoyed this story from start to end, and watching this video (whether I agree or disagree with it in totality) simply gave me a better understanding and appreciation for the story by sharing things I hadn't thought of (I should not have to explain why videos that do analysis on characters and themes make someone more richly informed). If you think the ending sucked or that Gojo should've lived or whatever, just say that. No need to hide behind a wall of dishonesty lol.

I think my opinion is a mix of the haters and enjoyers of this ending. While I do think that Gege did really well in conveying his themes (probably what he is best at), I think we did deserve some more context of things. My criticism for the ending is that there still so much left of character that didn’t get any screen time at all and it just feel like gege doesn’t know what to do with them so they just there for no reason and a lot of the world related to jujustu( heian era) is not explored at all and this is important because a lot of the world and things around an individual influence how they act, so exploring the heian era is very important to understanding why this or that happens. If part 2 happened I wish that gege focus on his side character and the world more.

It actually ended the way Dragon Ball Zs cell saga. The point of the cell saga was for Goku to pass the torch to the younger generation. After finding out what the future was when he died to heart disease he concluded that people relied on him too much BECAUSE he was the strongest. That’s why he stopped training for cell and pushed Gohan to be the one to take him out. He sacrificed himself vs Cell and basically passed the torch to gohan. He wanted them to be able to find their own strength in case he isn’t around anymore. The buu saga was him realizing the younger generation was basically a failure (goten, trunks, gotenks although strong had a child mentality. Played too much and fumbled the bag to take buu out. gohan stopped training, vegeta lost motivation because he had no rival etc)

@@max1matethere's a difference between allowing stuff to remain a mistery to enhance the story and not being able to actually organize your ideias properly. Jujutsu is the second one. The fact that people still don't know who Sukuna followed, if Kenjaku is really back or not, how shadow style worked before the second to last chapter, Hakari entire fight was offscreen and Uraume character never really went nowhere shows a lack of story telling and/or organization skills. People will say otherwise because they liked the feeling of reading jjk weekly but all of these elements are extremely evident on a second reading without the hype. I liked the story right until the ending, but i won't be biased and say these problems don't exist. It's like boku no hero. Gojo’s goal wasn’t to make a difference form of the strongest, it was to make “I’m the strongest” “we’re the strongest” again. diversity of strength; not just yuji’s, everybody’s. Also I think the shrine maiden is Yorozu. Sukuna said he eat his twin in the womb because his mother was malnourished. Shrine maidens most likely wouldn’t be in that situation.

just a reminder, since kanjaku took backshots from jin n had yuji, with jin being related to sukuna n all, yuji was able to use the blood manipulation kenny "stole" from the kamo clan and use sukunas technique (as seen from he himself using it n yuta consuming yujis finger to obtain said technique) Even uraume implies that within yuji is a potential to become as strong as sukuna himself, and thats without him knowing of yujis blood manipulation. And this isnt even considering yujis unnerving ability to land black flashes. So not only does yuji probably exceed gojo n sukuna with his ideals, he outright physically becomes stronger than them.

Honestly, her fight with brothers might influence a domain. If you think about it, she could essential merge soul essence into her own body. And repel any damage she takes to them. She becomes the strawdoll, and doesn’t get inflicted damage. Similar to how Hidan in Naruto works

Gojo did “win”. His legacy & will is continued by his students, unlike kenjaku & sukuna’s will which has no one to be passed onto. So memes aside, “nah id win” was true. He wasnt talking abt winning the battle, but winning the “cycle of curses”.

Jeez (somehow i decided that i should watch the ending prior to reading chpt 90) the ending is barely substantial, but the morals amd reminisces from here give me that Lelouch vibe, because theres a lot of reading in between the lines ig? So it looks like i probably should continue reading on the manga, i cant exactly deduce what happened between chpt 89 and here just by reading the ending(unless anyone wants to spoil it for me😅?)

I really hope JJK continues, just with a different cast, lije Jojo has done, kinda, since JJK already had another story told previously, albeit shorter, from yuta, keep the world connected, a possibility of the new protagonist interacting with the old ones, this keep the story from the absurd power scaling some animes have, even though pure strenght and power can be part of the system,.

@@youfellowceltor5587no it's not it's as incoherent, as the story been since yuki was introduced and removed in 3 chapters. His writing is implosive, he's not planning this out, he has ideas plays with them a little bit and throws them away like a toddler with a new toy. This story doesn't need over complicated plot explanations from hundred who just coping his favorite manga is over. He has a child like disobedience for anybody who has a criticism for this awful writer. He told us to let him cook and he still can't admit he's wrong. Bro it's not perfect I agree that it's lacking alot of missing stuff but the explanation is right even with my anger to things missing and how fast it was done it was still great in many forms and all the ones he mentioned I saw as well and it was still touching and very well put together when you connect everything gege wrote throught out the beginning till the end it was truly impressive how well he put all together simply I was disappointed with the lack of stuff missing but it's not as bad as others say people just had their own poopy expectations and when they did not get their way they cry starting with gojo no one cared about gege actual intent, teaching, or world they just want gojo and missed the whole point of gojos character and how he was tired and wanted to go gege through it at us when he made gojo say forget about me and proceeded to tell yuji that he's axchild for not moving on many could tell it was not just a nice convo with yuji but gege attacking us who want things our way

Yeah a lot of stuff people complain about “or don’t see” was deff shown throughout the series. One of the biggest ones is how almost no one has a funeral in the series. That was addressed during the hidden inventory/premature death arc. It was apart of Geto’s whole issue.
@VictorB-tq3ju

I don't understand why you keep saying "yuji replaced gojo" as the strongest in strength or philosophy or otherwise. Is this a bias thing? There's nothing unique about yuji or his compassion/philosophy that's not found in other characters (eg yuta, kusakabe, [maybe] miwa and etc). Also, yuji isn't the GOAT in "suffering". Despite not following them as closely as yuji (since he's MC), there are other characters who's suffering trumps yuji (eg Maki, megumi and even gojo)
@Oknahidwin

Nah fam. It wasn't a great ending. Twasn't bad either. It was just mediocre. And many perceive it that was cos of the last few chapters and especially how Sukuna was defeated and the many unexplored themes instead we got "closures" of things most were not particularly interested in.
