Yuta Okkotsu is the original protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen namely the oneshot, and when you have the role of the first protagonist of really any series with multiple; you're usually given the Pokemon Trainer Red treatment. Being seen as this legendary nigh-unbeatable figure unless directly stated otherwise; and couple this with statements like Yuta being the next Gojo and oh boy we have a behemoth on our hands. So you know what, in this video I will be attempting to accurately gauge the strength of Yuta Okkotsu by going over his abilities, techniques, and fights, and this video be covering both of his forms; his base form, and then the Gojo body possession form he takes later on. To begin, Yuta is introduced in his own series as a Special Grade the day he became a sorcerer. Since that title only belongs to 4 sorcerers in the entire series, one of which being Satoru Gojo himself; it's pretty telling of his strength. Yuta at first would only be designated as a special grade due to his possession of Rika Orimoto; a shikigami that was attached to him due to a self-inflicted curse he put on himself as a child, but eventually Yuta would break this curse, be brought down to a Grade 4 sorcerer, and eventually work his way back up to Special Grade easily. Needless to say, Yuta is quite powerful; but I think for a video like this, it's only fair to dive into every single part of his character that makes him powerful, starting with his combat skill.
Yuta boasts one of the best close quarters combat resumes; specifically because of his versatility when it comes to this area of battle. He's pretty good with throwing hands being able to briefly combat Ryu Ishigori at the beginning of their fight before he'd start to overpower him with cursed energy output. Yuta's also pretty good with weapons, with his katana being his primary weapon of choice. We can assume that Yuta is good with almost every weapon though, as when Rika's fully manifested; it's displayed that Yuta contains a whole arsenal of all sorts of weapons within her that he can access whenever his ring is on & they're there for a reason. If I had to compare his close quarter combat levels to anybody, I'd personally put him a little below Getou; as nothing in the story really focuses on Yuta when it comes to hand to hand. Despite this, I think being able to use multiple different weapons & being above average in hand to hand is a great resume compared to most of the cast.

Honestly I love Yuta, but if he dies that would suck thematically. Sorcery is about becoming a "monster", to abandon your humanity to obtain power. Yuta finally did this by taking Gojo's body, who himself was a "monster." However, he really underperformed. It wouldn't have made sense to have Yuta kill Sukuna (cuz of the Yuji/Sukuna dynamic) BUT he definitely needed a better showing and to have done much more damage to Sukuna. If he dies then he would've abandoned his humanity for nothing.

@@RickyDMons6251 thats why im thinking that (as hundreds said before) kenjaku might come back because of yuta using his technique and do something with the merger. yuki literally died to try and stop the threat of the merger and kenjaku died and passed the tengen baby on to sukuna, but sukuna is apparently dead and the humanity-threatening merger is apparently gone. not only do we + yuta not know the secrets of kenjaku/his techniques but yea as you said yuta became a monster just to disconnect his controller for the rest of the fight. gotta be a catch at the end of the story

Yuta is so chad for the fact that he wasn't pressed enough to use a DE against Ryu and Uro, while they were and took the battle to that field, that's the only reason Yuta used a DE in the first place. Yuta did all that while holding back.

The use of DE takes a huge amount of CE which would be extremely noticeable for sorcerers to realize, provided by the fact they naturally can see the amount of CE a sorcerer has. Bruh, Yuta is *dawgin* Yuji lol. Towards the end, I guess there’s a discussion since Yuji got a domain, but there seemingly wasn’t any special attack that came out of the domain other than left right good night. Speed wise and strength wise Yuji may have the edge, but Yuta has access to techniques that Yuji wouldn’t really have an easy answer to. And currently, Yuta’s RCT greatly out classes Yuji. In the future, Yuji will certainly grow and then possibly has a strong chance of becoming the stronger sorcerer, but currently I don’t see it.

Spot on with your last sentence! 😮‍💨🤝 I think that Yuji will be able to combat Yuta in the future if he learns among other things: Domain Amplification which he can now that he’s unlocked his DE. Domain Amplification would negate all of Yuta’s copied abilities like Cursed Speech, Sky Manipulation etc., mind you that cursed speech can be defended against by shielding your ears with CE. But you have to be aware that it’s coming and be sufficiently strong to fully defend against it. Also I’d remind you that Yuji’s RCT gets a buff from his Death Womb Painting inherited ability to convert Blood - CE So I think as Yuta and Yuji grow, Yuji will always edge out in RCT and since his potential is equal to Sukuna, as stated by the narrator. Yuji could also learn to output RCT. Yuji who masters Shrine will have his own Furnace: Open (hopefully with Blue Fire) And could achieve the world cutting dismantle with fewer prerequisites. Yuji can also show us the epitome of Blood Manipulation. With Choso showing us that Yuji could use Flowing Red Scale: Stack, Piercing Blood, Supernova, Blood armor, Crimson Binding, Maximum: Wing King and more… Yuji’s “mastery of Black Flashes makes him a monster in a war of attrition and makes him an enemy that will only grow stronger, the longer the battle wages on. Yuji might also inherit Sukuna’s uncanny perception that allows the King of Curses to replicate things after only seeing it once. Which could explain Yuji learning Domain Amplification, how to heal CT burnout with RCT, Falling Blossom Emotion and more… Therefore it’s inevitable that Yuji will surpass Yuta. Hence I appreciate the last sentence of your comment.

I love Yuta, and as cool as Gokkotsu was, his time in the spotlight was a little bit disappointing. He showed up like a jumpscare, used one domain expansion, then passed out until the battle was over. I really wish he stuck around the fight a little bit longer considering he was a combination of a couple of the coolest characters in the series. I guess it kind of just comes down to how Gege to write around OP characters; half the time he just writes them out of the story, with his track record being: Sealed in the prison realm, considered "dead" until the final battle, literally died from laughter, and passed out from CT burnout.

I like how most people missed that it was because of yuta, yuji and todo weren't ravaged by sukuna's domain. First when he appeared as sukuna was about to cast his DE, and second when they clashed making sukuna's domain go on another cooldown. Well there’s also Mio I guess If you’re advanced enough you can also turn simple domain into domain amplification

@yaboiplank6764 Well, we don't even know if you can do that, maybe you have to keep it yes or yes from activation if you want to increase the output of HWB, maybe you can make it intermittent like you say But when Sukuna decides to undo HWB's seal in order to launch the Slash that Cuts the World, he does so knowing that he will be hit by the angel technique, and doing the seals, chants and aiming doesn't take too long, at least to someone like sukuna So there are two possibilities: 1- Once you release your hands for HWB, until it is destroyed (and the safe hit affects you therefore) it cannot increase its output again with the hand seal 2- Even a HWB with Sukuna's barrier skill will break in less time than the Slash that Cuts the World can fire. None of them help Kashimo in this battle.

You need to make a video on full potential yuji who would probably be the strongest character in the series with complete mastery over both shrine and blood manipulation, some of the best rct, physical stats to rival a heavenly restriction user, a domain which surpasses most characters other than Sukuna and blows which directly damage the soul. Also it is possible that Yuji might gain even more hax in the future such as cursed technique reversal of shrine/blood manipulation, combination techniques, a second domain expansion(blood manipulation version which could possibly even be an open domain), he may even gain access to different shikigamis or cursed tools in the future and he could possibly even gain has mom's(kaori's) technique gravity manipulation as techniques can be passed down from parent to child as seen with naoya. maki ehhhhh, hakari na he just isnt a heavy hitter no more. 50+ chapters of extreme diffing the ice lady just for him to not actually win, but for her to off herself is crazy, yuta agreed, todo no. Todo is strong yes but he is nowhere near special grade. It just so happens todo is very good as a tag team partner

@@megav1022 fair I think it's a difference of opinion really. Uramue has like 10 panels of boxing in total but she could just be heavy hitter level too, it’s not exactly an anti feat for hakari. If the heavy hitters all circularly scale to each other with physicality they legit blitz like 80% the verse all with feats ( besides hakari and todo) to durability neg or damage sukuna. Todo would probably extreme diff Yuki for example in my mind and the rest would do progressively better.

well technically... special grade means the sorcerer is capable of soloing a country. So Maki, Hakari, and Todo don't make the requirement because I doubt any of them could do that. But they have strength on par with special grades in the story.

Honestly I think Yuta is the strongest out the series. He can copy almost any technique and his domain expansion is a bunch of random chances at pulling one of the OD techniques he’s already used. On top of that he has Rika to fight along side him, buff him and eat body parts if available to have him gain additional techniques.

Yuta's CE has so many drawbacks, Yuji is a better sorcerer and has durability (deu to sukunas ce traits), but yeah, yuji can RCT, we're not sure if yuji can RCT orher people, I bet he can since sukuna is with him before.

nah, Yuji has barely a few techniques, depends on his fists a lot, he would have never defeated Geto, he has less energy than Yuta, less versatility, less skills, less endurance, less knowledge of sorcery, has less intelligence, less ability to hide his presence, his domain is weaker, his speed is inferior etc , Yuta wins mid diff.
