Much appreciated! I thank you for the kind remarks. I do not make a lot of videos any more because it is just not productive, but when I do make a video it is to give good information. Jim

Hey, JiM! Still watch each and every video you put online! I happen to have saved some bucks up during the past years and also think about retiring to farm life completely. Have to go to Europe this summer and back in Chile in February! Will hook up with your group and try find a small patch of land in Los Lagos! Cheers from La Union! Michael

This content is amazing. Thank you Jim. What made you choose Chile over Argentina?

Ya we have a KIWI mix Steer and an Angus Kiwi Cross and the Angus is really looking good. Plus she is a good heifer. We will likely breed here and eat the steer! Thanks John. Jim

Jim Can citizens of any country buy Chilean property?
@ChileExpatFamily Жыл бұрын
Very good question! Yes. I believe anyone can buy here with the exceptions of Argentinians and not near the border for them. Otherwise. Tourists can own property here in Chile. But you still would only be able to visit for 90 days at a time. Jim

Oye gringo, en Chile hablamos Español. Además no eres un "expat" eres un inmigrante. Aunque te duela
@ChileExpatFamily Жыл бұрын
Oh no It does not hurt. I love being a gringo. I am also an Immigrant and I am proud that I have chosen Chile and grateful to my new country for welcoming me. I do speak Spanish. Now if you are Chilean, you likely took at least 4 years of English in High School and still do not understand English. Fortunately I understand English and will help you. The word "EXPAT" means a person who has left their country of birth to live in another. Also I am a gringo. My friends call me GRINGO JIM. In fact I call myself GRINGO JIM. My business cards here actually say GRINGO JIM on them!!!!! Jajajaj ajajajajaj ajajajaj On the WhatsApp community group i manage for our little community here near Puerto Octay, my contact is listed as GRINGO JIM! So guess what.... i have a secret for you... i am a gringo and always will be. I love being a gringo. It is not often I run into a Chilean who tries to insult people intentionally. Most were raised better.. I myself would never assume to insult a Chilean or anyone else for that matter. I am just not that inclined to do so. So a couple of things here: Do not trust me, go look up the definition of EXPAT with google.... it would have helped if you had listened in school as well. but hey i did not listen much either so who am I to complain. Some other things. Also I am fat. I am ugly. I am old and useless. I dress poorly and sometimes I smell bad after working here on the farm. I am not so smart. Really I am an idiot all things considered. My wife and children are average at best. Sometimes I have used foul language. For which I am deeply sorry. I have done other sins as well but we do not have enough space here for all of them. Thank you for the kind insult. Gringo Jim Here I will put it in Spanish for you. But poor Spanish because I am too stupid to speak Spanish well. Oh no, no duele. Mis amigos me llaman GRINGO JIM. No soy tan inteligente. A veces he usado lenguaje soez. Jim gringo

Don't listen to the haters, he just trolling. Home is where you make it. He probably ain't got the bollocks to move down to patagonia and create his own thing from nothing. Unlike many who choose to move to cheap tropical countries to live lavish life with sunshine and cocktails you elected to move to a place and keep working to earn an honest living almost completely non-dependably. For that, you've earn my respect. Keep doing your thing mate. Peace from an Aussie bloke born to chilean parents.
