As far as I'm concerned, the end means everything is possible. Those infinite possibilities of the future makes the loop impossible to end. You don't only have an Alpha, Beta and Gama storylines. Even Sigma said that he won many times. We don't know how many times Crazy Sigma killed the happy couple, but the dude had his share of fun. Which makes me think it will never be over. Worst: The more people found out about the uploader, the more Sigma you will have (Eddy...). It's like "I think, therefore I am". As long as humans exist, it will continue.

Great video, thank you! I think one aspect that most people miss is that the original 「Sisyphus」cheated death, and as a result had to go through his cycles of rolling up the rock on the mountain. I think that Tae Sul was supposed to die on the plane, he 「cheated」his death and was then forced to live in the loop. So, yes, the plane ride is real, while Seo-Hae is a dream.

I love time travels and time paradoxes so I really enjoyed the show, romance was quite "naive" (not the greatest kiss scenes ever seen) but it gave me some goosebumps and tears... she really made me fall in love with her when she wore those cat ears :D Unfortunately, my brain thinks the last Seo-Hae in the plane existed only in Tae-Sul mind, anyway my heart likes the possibility of an another timeline where she travels there from the future

Remember when Kang Seo-hae's dad took pity and put his own coat on Sigma? That book which Sigma is reading in episode 16 was in a pocket of that coat, and true to the original myth of Sisyphus, the boulder is bring rolled uphill again ... then again.

I never understood why Sigma didn't fuse with his past self to constantly gain all the knowledge of all previous iterations of the timeline. I thought this was going to be a thing for at least one of the characters when Tae-Sul shows Seo-Hae's parents her mom's necklace fusing. But instead it's the "Control Bureau" that manages data and documents the current timeline compared to the previous iteration. It is implied by characters that the time loop has happened an unknowable amount of times, which lines up with the Greek myth of Sisyphus constantly pushing the rock up the hill over and over and never reaching the top.

I totally agree with everything you said. As you did, I deducted that there had to be at least one timeline/-loop before the one we saw in the show to kick everything off. However, concerning the end, I have a different theory: So, if we have a timeline where Sigma creates the uploader, this could cause a new timeline where war yet again breaks out, causing Seo-hae yet again to go back in time and change everything. And maybe, she chooses a point further back in time that lets her meet Tae-sul earlier, thus making her be on the flight with him. Considering that many catalysts from the alpha and beta timeline are gone in the gamma timeline, there would probably be a few timeloops in between the gamma timeline and this new one (call it delta or whatever) for there to be the right catalyst causing Seo-hae to go back in time. Also, considering they are at least thinking about a second season, this would allow to explore the story further. I don't really see how you could continue the series if Tae-sul is dead.

This is good! An interesting twist to make it more interesting is this. Tae-sul actually made the uploader. So there may be another timeline yet (and this is possible also for other reasons). If another season was planned this must have been the idea. Now, Soe-hae was transported to the same timeline twice, so there is ”one extra” of her. That one may have followed Tae-sul to the new timeline (where he is obviously not dead). If so, she might actually be on the plane with him.

After Tae Sul's Death, all future residents disappeared all of a sudden. All memories has been altered, except, the things or objects that has been left behind. Before Tae Sul killed himself, he wrote all the events on a journal that appears as Seo Hae's Diary. It has been wrote there all his deeds to stop Sigma from destroying the Future by transporting the Nuclear missile to the past. Before he killed himself, he recorded all the conversation between him and Eddy upon their last encounter. This leads to Eddy got arrested by Gang Dong Ki, Seo Hae's Father. Beforehand, Tae Sul, gave the Diary to Gang Seo Hae's Father. He told Dong Ki, to not disclose what has been written in the Diary. Only Dong Ki knows what happened after the Alteration of events prior to Tae Sul's Death. Tae Sul also said to Dong Ki not to kill the present Sigma but tell him sorry for what he has done to him so that he won't resent him in the future. Everyone in the World, except Dong Ki knows nothing what heroic deeds Tae Sul did. Tae Sul also wrote a letter for Seo Hae's in her Diary, for her to read in the future. One line in her Diary said, "No matter what happens, come find me". 20 years later, Seo Hae became a successful engineer. She invented advance technologies and became more like Tae Sul. On that day, Dong ki gave her the Diary left by Tae Sul. Just then, tears started falling from her eyes. She reads the Diary and realized something, the Girl in the Diary is her. Later on, she took a visit in Tae Sul's company. The Company has been closed for many years. Tae Sul's bodyguard in the past appeared before her and toured her inside. Seo Hae, without everyone knows, came down at the basement to find the uploader there. She reads the diary and found the code of the program. The Uploader started working. She went inside the Uploader and started remembering Tae Sul's last word. On the Ending scene, Seo Hae is beside Tae Sul riding in the Airplane to Hawaii. The End...

Because the Memories has been altered prior to Tae-Sul's Death, everything becomes the mystery. This includes the making of Uploader. However, because only the memories has been altered. But things that has been made/done retained, Uploader is still present. On the next day after Tae-Sul's death, Eddy got released due to lacking of substancial evidence. Without the CEO and the Chairman, Eddy decided to close the Company. He remembered the Words of Tae Sul and their friendship. On the flashback, Dong Ki has a conversation with Tae Sul. Tae Sul give him a small pink diary which was he gave as present to Seo Hae. On the day of Tae Sul's burial, Dong Ki and child Seo Hae visited. Dong Ki reads the Diary and discovered everything that everyone doesn't know that happened. After few years, the bodyguard of Tae Sul awakened from Coma. He discovered that the Company has been closed. Many years have passed, Seo Hae graduated from her engineering course. Her father always telling her the story about a man who risked his life to save the World without everyone knowing. On her Graduation party, Dong Ki decided to give the Diary to Seo Hae as a present. And Seo Hae's life changes after she read the Diary.

what I understood is that Seo Hae didn't exist on the plane, he was hallucinating that's why he decided not to take the pills. Sigma on the end as well changed for the better but still obsessed with Tae-Sul's success. Having the notebook is useless since there won't be any time machine anyway... what's confusing is how the hell Tae-sul remember Seo Hae? I understood Seo Hae's dad but not Tae-sul.

I believe that it could be a new time machine. Remember...there are two Tae-Sul. The one who escaped the church and the future Tae-Sul who killed himself. The Tae-Sul who escaped, and who was supposed to go to the time machine and travel 1-2 days in the past, is still alive and cannot be vanished, although time machine disappears. I mean that although many things have changed (time machine, Seo Hae, etc) there are still one Tae-Sul and one (less evil but still obsessed) Sigma. I believe the "series loop" has ended but new possibilities for a new loop are open now. Since there are still a Tae-Sul and a Sigma the possibilities of a new time machine still exist. I believe that the scene on the plane is just the dead "future" Tae-Sul of the "series loop" who finally succeeded to end this "series loop". But as I said...the present Tae-Sul must be alive, having lost all of his memories of Seo Hae/time machine/Sigma/etc and new different loops can start now. The present Sigma is the one who can trigger a new loop as he is still obsessed with Tae Sul.

I understood it that the ending is just another time pocket. In the original timeline, Seo-hae will always try to come back and sage Tae-Sul, the war still breaks out and the uploader will be invented. It's a vicious cycle. But the time pocket at the end is just the result of one timeline.

I thought it didn't made any sense for Edy to appear and shot TaeSul. Because TaeSul should've vanished. Because it was Sigma the one who " build" Tae Sul who gave him money means and sponsorship, Sigma made TaeSul rich and what he was in society. Busted his ego even. Made sure of that; and suddenly Sigma is dead in the church he has vanished because he was shot and also because in his past someone else showed him the compassion he craved. So Every person after that should have flickered and vanished, even moved. Because without Sigma everything changes, that was what Sigma himself said! So TaeSul should've vanished with SeoHae in the church. Because that "rich" TaeSul should've never existed even in the first place, that variant of TaeSul. Maybe TaeSul eventuality went rich or known on his own maybe not if nothing happened , if Sigma never targeted him, if his parents never died or if he showed better kindness to Sigma when he was a child. Who knows But he ( TaeSul) should've vanished and changed as all the other ones did. He kinda was expecting it. And the life's, buildings and things made thanks to Sigma's intervention should've vanish/changed too.

Excellent analysis. Perhaps the entire thing was a dream - but whose dream? Tae Sul? - he dropped the pills when he woke up next to Seo Hae - didn't want to hallucinate anymore.. Or could it be Sigma's ? Or perhaps - spoiler alert - Tae Sul is Sigma's alter ego ? (probably not but why not just throw that in there for added confusion?) Anyway, I'm now hooked on Korean Drama and smitten with Park Shin-Hye. The series was a bit long and drawn out. Your analysis helped put it into perspective

My theory on this show is as follows: (I'm probably very wrong, but here it is anyways.) Lets say the entire series is called 1 singular "run". We see a total of 3 runs. The very first one which influence of the nuke going off is Sigma's obsession of Han Tae Sul. The second run, the one we mainly see, is influenced by that very bomb in the previous run. The last run we see, very little of it, the part where Sigma is supposedly better in mentality and life, but no. We see him at the end still obsessed with Han Tae Sul. What I mean by runs being "influenced" is basically the cause of it. Another thing is that there have been multiple runs before the ones we get to see, because we can see at the end of the series that everything just loops back to where it started. So this loop is as follows: A is influenced by B, and B is influenced by C, and C is influenced by A. As you said in your video of the catalysts, when the loop reaches C (The third "run" we see.) most of the catalysts are gone. Notice how I say "most", this is because we still have Kang Seo Hae's father with the knowledge of the future, and Sigma still having his catalyst. And this is where we get into time paradoxes. Paradoxes are like errors in programs, except in real life. Once one occurs, everything shutdowns. (Yes paradoxes are just a concept and I am probably wrong about its definition, so correct me if I'm wrong.) The reason why these 3 run loops haven't caused the destruction of existence is because of the small differences between each run. From what we see the only influence of the very first run is just Sigma's obsession. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) And that run and the very last run we see, the loop back, is the very similar except of the fact that Sigma still has his catalyst AND Kang Seo Hae's father still has information about the future. This is speculation but, if in the very first run, if Kang Seo Hae's father had this information of what Sigma was doing, wouldn't he try to stop him? It would be the logical and moral thing to do.. To save his family and a LOT of people. Though he might've kept it back like how when Han Tae Sul told Jae Sun to wear a bullet proof vest near the end of the show, but not tell Kang Seo Hae about to and act dead. So basic summary of my theory, is this show is just a big 3 phase time loop, which isn't a time paradox because of small differences between each loop. There is still a loophole on sigma’s story. If sigma was the one who sent the nuke to the past that saved himself, how could it happen in the first place? He wouldn’t be able to send that nuke if he had committed suicide. In summary, you cannot save yourself if you are already dead 🤔 It feels like there is a prime timeline and all of these mentioned in the video are just branches of this prime timeline.

It’s a little weird. But I think it’s like the theory Tae-sul talked about at his old school. It’s not that he truly believed anyone would’ve came to their rescue if they wrote something, but it’s likely someone would. So it doesn’t have to be Sigma who sent the first nuclear warhead, but it most likely would have been. Either way, Sigma had to guarantee that post-nuclear Seoul would exist, so his future self sent it.

What I didn’t understand is 1. how Tae-Sul and Seo Hae were saved by their future selves if they hadn’t previously beaten Sigma- and 2. how the loop broke-if Tae Sul and Seo Hae had to immediately go to the uploaded to make sure they would be at the church to save themselves. Wouldn’t that just create the need for the Tae Sul and Seo Hae they saved to again use the uploader?

I understand number 2. After Seo Hae killed Sigma, that Seo Hae stayed in the church and the other Seo Hae that was almost killed was the one that went back in time. At the end of the series, the Seo Hae that was standing over Sigma's body was the one that killed him.

1. They saved themselves in this particular loop where Sigma was actually beaten. In other loops they were killed by Sigma the moment Tae Sul finishes the time machine in the church. 2. Yes, it is true. BUT since Tae Sul kills himself this need stops to exist. The death of "future" Tae Sul has ended the whole loop. Time machine will not get finished, the two "future" Seo Hae (the one that was shot in the church and the one that escapes the church) stop to exist. So there is no such a need anymore.

just came across this video and it helps to understand a lot, thanks. those time travel stories are mind bending indeed. and this one is not easy one to crack. let me share what i think. 1st there are several bootstrap paradoxes which are key events for the story but those are not explained, but that's ok. such paradox is sort of chicken-egg situation where event is coming before the cause which is condition for the event. Sigma's kill in the church is one of them - Tae Sul after the kill have to upload himself and Seo Hae the day before to accomplish this kill. Same story is about Seo Hae diary - to move to the past she needs diary she puts in grave in previous timeloop but to be in that timeloop she needs diary. Same is about the bomb - to blast in 2020 it needs Sigma to upload it in 2035 and to do so artist-Sigma in the 2020 basement needs to be interrupted his hanging process by the blast. As a note bootstrap can't start by 3rd party, cos then you will have to replace this 3rd party by yourself which is significant intervention and will probably destroy the timeline itself. About timelines. Sigma's timeline: hated artist - basement/rope/blast in 2020/escape - mobster in 2035 who controls uploader - upload Seo Hae to Aug-2020 (this is another bootstrap paradox as he needs her in 2020 as a key character to playout Tae Sul in finishing uploader) - upload bomb to Oct-2020 - upload himself to 2001 to set all ready for 2020. Seo Hae timeline: blast 2020 - bunker - diary found in her grave - upload to 2020 to stop the war - church scene. Tae Sul brother: witness Sigma's arrival to 2001 - take glimpse of future events from photo brought by Sigma - faked death in 2010 - at some point he is uploaded from the future (airplane scene) - coma / time pocket state in 2020 with body under evil-Sigma's control. What all this means: stop Oct-2020 war means disappearance all the timelines and characters which are result of this war, including Seo Hae who come from 2035, so for her there is no way to survive 2020 - if she is not killed and mission accomplished she disappears, if she is killed it all starts over again when 9-year old Seo Hae gets to 2035 and finds her previous loop diary. Killing evil-Sigma in church 2020 should not stop the war as chain of events is already set in 2035 (see Sigma's timeline). Only killing artist-Sigma will 100% stop this madness - everyone will live and Tae Sul will have only 15 years difference with Seo Hae and he still might meet her and have happy life. His best chance was gunpoint scene in artist-Sigma basement. But Tae Sull didn't let Seo Hae do this because he worried about the brother, but this was a big oversight - killing of young Sigma would terminate his timeloop, so he won't get to 2035 to upload bomb to 2020 and himself to 2001 to start all the events and so it won't be evil-Sigma in 2020 to have Tae Sul brother captive. After the church scene the war didn't start because Tae Sul's death delayed uploader finishing in time and probably because artist-Sigma 1st-ly influenced by jacket eventually calmed down his hatred towards humanity and didn't start war in 2020, or if did then later under other conditions, or if not the war but something else, like setting dictatorship to change world by his views. The fact the future drastically changed is the fact that all post-war-to-be uploaded persons, including Seo Hae, disappeared as cause-effect adjusted the future and wiped out all those characters. But there are still remnants of those events left for the present - Eddy Kim with information he has got from visiting Sigma's no-going-back meeting, artist-Sigma notes found in the jacket with key names and events about past future and finally Tae Sul's brother who woke up from coma as dead evil-Sigma couldn't hold him anymore. Last airplane scene - this could be another time reset (start over again from some point in the past). Tae Sul's brother (who is awake now and knows everything about what happened) had promised to protect and do whatever possible to bring Tae Sul back. Seo Hae is still young, but at some point in the future with young-psycho-Sigma with his obsession to get hands on and use uploader (in the school he told this Tae Sul asking to be 1st one get uploaded) to change humanity, Eddy Kim with gimps of new villain and uploader almost ready, it could be set of future events which will make Seo Hae go back to the past to save Tae Sul once again and make everything right this time .. and if it will no be dilemma this time like "save girl or the world", then "happily ever after" might happen indeed.

I hated the ending to this show. I don't think it actually makes logical sense, and even if it does it's forced. I don't think it makes sense because: Tae Sul defeats Sigma by traveling into the past so that he and Seo-hae can do the things they did to defeat him, including shooting him. But they travel to the past after defeating Sigma, which requires having already time-traveled. So, sure, paradox (or maybe, logic loop). Except, I don't think it is, I think it just doesn't work because there's no way to get into that paradox without already being in it. Whatever timeline we're in - alpha, beta, etc. - and in whichever part of the story, there would have to be a "first" occurrence of the events in those timelines before the people in those timelines can go back to a previous timeline. For example: it makes sense that Seo-hae could catalyze her actions leading to alpha 2 because she presumably experienced the alpha 1 timeline in which she was shot, and then Tae Sul chose her over the world. There's room in this series of events for her to leave the journal (catalyst) for herself to find in the future (but in an earlier stage of the alpha 1 timeline than when she's shot in the church) whether via time travel or just having her journal on her when she died. The actions of alpha 1 Seo-hae at the end of alpha 1 timeline change enough that the next repetition of the alpha 1 timeline leads Seo-hae to diverge into alpha 2 timeline/Sao-hae. To my understanding, the first alpha 1 Seo-hae did not need the journal from alpha 2 Seo-hae to get to the point of leaving the journal that would cause a second (or third or fourth...) alpha 1 Seo-hae to branch into alpha 2. Either way, the first alpha 1 Seo-hae does not continue on into the alpha 2 timeline. This isn't true of the transition from alpha 2 to beta (when Eddie becomes Sigma), because that transition must have already happened in order for it to happen the first time, which is impossible without intervention from outside of the alpha 2 timeline or by either a Tae Sul or a Seo-hae who were not the first ones to transition from alpha 2 to beta. But as it's portrayed in the show, the first alpha 2 Tae Sul and Seo-hae to transition into the beta timeline are also the ones to make such a transition possible, which doesn't work for the above reasons. The only way I can see that it would work is if there is another timeline outside the alphas, beta, and gamma that involves a repeat of the cycle but not the death of Tae Sul and/or Seo-hae at the end of alpha 2. I.e. maybe in alpha 2, Seo-hae still gets shot, Tae Sul chooses her and codes the uploader, but they live and then use the uploader to travel back in time to the day Tae Sul locked Seo-hae in the bunker. This is all assuming that the flickering that was happening at the end of alpha 2 before that sigma was killed was a result of sigma being close to death and the uploader not being coded. This flickering and disappearance of future people from the present was crucial to defeating alpha 2 Sigma, so the cause of that flickering was important. If the cause was Sigma being close to death as a result of Seo-hae having a gun pointed at him from the balcony in the church, then I think what I've said stands. If the flickering was just caused by the changeability of the present/future, then fuck me I guess. But even without all of this, the moment when Tae Sul stopped coding the uploader for Eddie and grabbed/pointed a gun at his head, the show should have been over plot-wise. Just shoot Eddie in the head and you're back to the same point plot-wise as before Eddie showed up. Would have been better if they just let Seo-hae disappear and Eddie never showed up.

Do you remember how young sigma said "i can see the future" and laughed maniacally? Its what han tae san claimed for him to be diagnosed as a mentally ill adult so as a kid sigma wasn't mentally challenged but old sigma prolly made some interaction with the young one and the young one got bullied because of his "unrealistic claims". The young sigma used to lock his bedroom because his drunk father used to abuse him. However the father's dialogues were somewhat like "why dont u spend time with us anymore" this could either mean young sigma was abused earlier that scene or the old sigma interacted with young sigma abt his dad possibilities of abusing him so with that fear young sigma isolated from his father everytime. Sigma suffered from lack of empathy and affection and isolating from the only parent made him lonelier and easier to share his intrusive actions to his only friend han tae sul.

After that, she and her dad started to come out of the shelter (ep. 14) Seo Hae married Han Tae Sul by 2020? How? Wasn't she 9 years old? Well Han Tae Sul married Seo Hae future adult self that came to the past so many times (Sisyphus) to prevent the war but didn't succeed. Everything ends (time travel) when the creator, Han Tae Sul, shoot himself in the church. That's how the war vanished along with all the people that came from the future including Seo Hae. In the real present (plane scene) Han Tae Sul image or hallucinate Seo Hae next to her which scared him. He was about to take the pill but he was at the same time so happy to see her that decided not to take it to continue be next to her because by this time Seo Hae was 9 years old living with her parents. There are 3 universes : 1. The one tae sul and seo hae's married 2. The one tae sul and seo hae didn't married (the war stopped, the uploader gone) 3. The one when evrything still okay (the ending, uploader still created by tae sul. Including sigma ending scene that saw the note) The 3rd universe create the first one, the first universe create the second. The 2nd universe create the 3rd. I somehow think in the end of time line at 3rd universe, sigma travel back to the past that create the 1st universe. If i think in sigma's perspective in 1st universe, he wouldn't even survive in the middle of dessert (after nuclear attack) or even if he's survive, he won't back to the past because he's already happy being alone. So the one who want to create sigma is sigma in 3rd universe. He travels back to make all notes he've seen happen.

What happened to Tae Sun confuses me to much...I don't think it mentioned how his death was faked. How did he survive the nuclear and missile attacks? Are Tae Sol's hallucinations actually not hallucinations and actually Tae Sun appearing in a given time in front of him? How come him having the blueprint didn't become relevant at the ending? What was even the point of him wandering time to go into hiding if all Sigma needed was Tae Sol to finish programming the damn uploader? Also, if the bomb shelter was engineered by the super genius Tae Sol, then how did he mess up on the door? And if Soe Hae's dad knew what was going to happen on the day of the attack, then why didn't they just go to the shelter earlier? Or why did he need to leave the child Soe Hae with the mom to find the shelter when he knew where it was? And lastly, right before Sigma was trying to kill himself, I don't think he was taping up the windows so that he doesn't get found. I think it was so that the smoke from the lit up charcoal didn't seep out from the cracks...but I'm not sure why he needed the charcoal to be burning in the first place if he was hanging himself. .... What an unsatisfying show lol

1) Tae-san never said he faked his death. It’s a theory I speculated because Tae-sul told us he was dead but we never saw the body. 2) Tae-san survived because he was hiding somewhere under the protection of Seo-jin. We are never shown or told this. However, Seo-jin was missing an additional shot when Tae-sul wanted to go under to save Seo-hae. We can assume the first shot went to Tae-san so he could see his brother when he gets stuck. 3) It is very possible Tae-san’s appearances are him flickering through time and showing up in front of Tae-sul. 4) This might have been a plot idea they forgot about. Another possibility was that Tae-san underestimated Sigma and didn’t know he already had it. 5) I assume Tae-san thought he could stop Sigma by hiding forever. But Tae-sul knew the only way to do it was to take his own life. 6) It’s possible the door got damaged during the missile strikes. Not only that, Seo-hae would’ve never gone back in time if her mother didn’t die. So no matter what, she had to die at that moment. 7) Seo-hae’s father knew that if he arrived too early or too late, things would’ve changed and whatever Tae-sul had planned would not have worked. 8) I’m not sure why he left during that scene. Maybe he only knew the general area and not where it was exactly since he didn’t check it out beforehand. 9) I remember Sigma’s monologue saying he covered the windows to make sure his body wouldn’t get discovered. Maybe it was a mistranslation and he actually said it was to cover the charcoal smoke. That would make the most sense. 10) Yes, I am also unsatisfied, which is why I made the video. lol

Sigma's catalyst is a small book that outlines everything that is going to happen, almost a mirror of the diary. I think you're mistaking it for Seo-Hae's dad's "catalyst." Not only do I not recall her dad ever using a Catalyst, but the names written in the page he opens up to at the very end include names of people that her father would have no way of knowing (past or present) and the message "Han Tae-Sul is still alive". The journal is either Sigma's and was somehow left after the timeline changed, or its Tae-Sul's from after he used his own catalyst and started to devise his plan. But all of these rely on the idea of something from the Alpha timeline lingering in the Gamma timeline, which wouldnt make sense. No matter who's diary it was, the information in it shouldnt exist anymore. And I don't think sigma's going to finish the uploader in the gamma timeline simply because he can't. He doesn't have any of the information on the device, doesn't have the help from his future self, and probably won't be able to write the code since the one man who could is dead. No one else was able to finish it as far as we saw and were told. And I dont think Eddie came back in time at the church. We can see him downstairs near the uploader after sigmas dead, and they wait for him to leave because he doesnt know whats going on upstairs. His departure from the basement lines up with when he appears to become the new sigma upstairs. He also doesn't disappear when the timeline shifts, we last see him crying in the church and not vanishing. The nukes reappear, imo, because Sigma 1 is still alive and obviously harbors evil intent still. So all Eddie would need to do after the uploader is finished is reunite him with his journal, or to tell him the information he knows to loop back into an Alpha worldline

i love time travel series and this was good but if you want to watch what i would call the daddy of time travel serials then go find 12 monkeys.4 seasons of just pure awesomeness.its one of these shows that doesnt have too many mistakes and where something in one episode might come back a season later but well written including who is james coles mother who he had never met and how they realise the troubles of the world were really caused by them in the first place trying to solve them!.hope you enjoy :)

I just finished the series and was overwhelmed. But I may have caught something you missed. At the end, they take the uploader again. Their are 2 future characters at the end when they snipe Sigma. Did this create another timeline? And in this timeline Sigma 1 invents the uploader and the 2 of them are set free. And the character that killed himself merges with the Han on the plane which is the Han double that Snipes Sigma. But I missed alot and will rewatch soon.

Great job! I deduced about 80% of what you told us in the video when watching the show. I loved the 20% I had either missed or wasn't paying enough attention to you provided. One thing I hated as the show went on was how Sigma used "The Girl or the World", over and over again to escape death and "win" as he said. Tai Sul and Seo Hae would approach to kill him with full vengeance and then be talked out of it. Also, didn't Seo Hae 2 remember the lesson of not killing the enemy when given the chance? Overall, I loved the series, but because each episode was around 70 mins, they use a lot of "filler" sequences with melodies that were too drawn out (like the reflection and reminiscence, crying scenes). Too much. I love K-Drama. This one was not as good as Alice In Border Town IMO. Looking forward to the next. Plenty to choose from.

I think future Sigma should have sent a copy of the uploader software code back in time to himself. Would have made life easier for himself. lol. The ending on the plane could just be a dying dream before his brain dies permanently because he still retained his memories and like you said, he really is dead because he blew his brains out. I think the series theme is certain events in the timeline cannot be changed and the only thing that’s different is the journey to get to these fixed events in time. It’s like if ppl make different choices then they take a different route to get to the same fixed event. But ultimately that event will still happen. I think the last scene with the changed happy sigma, he starts a new journey to get to the same fixed event in the journey. So he uses the knowledge from the book to get a new version of the timeline in motion. Another theory is the happy sigma guy creates the uploader and changes the timeline so the happy scene on the plane happens because he’s a changed man. Why would he want to kill the daughter of the guy who showed him kindness and accidentally giving him the notebook. I think rewatching it and carefully absorbing every sentence is the only way to try to get more answers. But it’s like 18 hours worth of rewatching.

To make it end. I'll treat you a tea. 😁 This is how it goes... In the present timeline, Tae Sul cannot be returned alive. But... in the future, we could ship Seo Hae back to Tae Sul by travelling back in time using the Uploader. Yes, you heard it right. The Uploader Machine made by Tae Sul himself. As you can see in the ending scene, even though residents of the Future disappeared in a trance. The things they left behind didn't vanished. It's possible that the existence of Uploader still did exist. But no one knows it. Tae Sul might know what will going to happen. So, he shot himself dead. But before he did that, he planned it beforehand. Everything is according to plan. He ready himself for everything. And he also saw the possibility of the changes that cannot be altered. This is because of the catalyst. Future egos left things behind to their past selves for them to prepare for the future. Tae Sul found out that the only way catalyst cannot affect the past, is by killing himself. That's the hardest decision he has to make. In order to fully secure his plans, he collaborated with Seo Hae's Father to take present Sigma. In addition, He took the diary from Seo Hae and gave it to Dong Ki. Written in the Diary, is all the events happened before he killed himself. He wrote it in advance to counter the catalyst made by Sigma. At the back of the note is the written mysterious codes and his farewell message, "No matter what happens, come find me!" Later on, the show starts... Tae Sul killed himself. All the future residents disappeared, including Seo Hae. Take a note of his final Words. "No matter what happens, come find me." As I said before. Things that has left behind by the future remains as the catalyst. That's the reason, Uploader and the Downloader still did exist. But no one knows... No one except Dong Ki. At the End, Seo Hae uses the Uploader to travel back to past. To live happily ever after. 😁 The end.

Even Seo Hae could change Sigma (Seo Gil-bok), the other problem is, Eddie Kim who is a potential for being another Sigma and Agnes. If there is season 2, they could become the villains in this plot. Because the Memories has been altered prior to Tae-Sul's Death, everything becomes the mystery. This includes the making of Uploader. However, because only the memories has been altered. But things that has been made/done retained, Uploader is still present. On the next day after Tae-Sul's death, Eddy got released due to lacking of substancial evidence. Without the CEO and the Chairman, Eddy decided to close the Company. He remembered the Words of Tae Sul and their friendship. On the flashback, Dong Ki has a conversation with Tae Sul. Tae Sul give him a small pink diary which was he gave as present to Seo Hae. On the day of Tae Sul's burial, Dong Ki and child Seo Hae visited. Dong Ki reads the Diary and discovered everything that everyone doesn't know that happened. After few years, the bodyguard of Tae Sul awakened from Coma. He discovered that the Company has been closed. Many years have passed, Seo Hae graduated from her Engineering course. Her father always telling her the story about a man who risked his life to save the World without everyone knowing. On her Graduation party, Dong Ki decided to give the Diary to Seo Hae as a present. And Seo Hae's life changes after she read the Diary.

Tae Sul would be alive just in the original time line. it would basically go back to just before his company was invested in since that's the first point in time where the time machine had an affect on his life. So his life would continue from then on as if sigma and the war never happened. granted since things go back to normal who's to say something else doesn't happen that will start another time loop. There had to be a start to the time loop in the show because it's a paradox otherwise so what will probably happen is this will start all over with the very first sigma in the first time loop.

Here's my crazy theory: The timeline was going as it was supposed to until Han tae sul wrote a help note on the school wall. They were not supposed to do this but their change in action had caused ripples across the timeline/created a new branch of time line where they would go on and win. After writing that help note it changed their future instantaneously, Even though they were in the present. So, when his body guard brought back the ashes of Han tae sul, those ashes are the version of Han tae sul who actually beat sigma and won. And hence his foresight also showed the future of him winning and not being killed by sigma. I hope i haven't missed something which might prove this theory wrong.

There are two theories. 1 - Tae-san died when he hit the plane. 2 - Tae-san survived the fall. I went with theory two in the video because we never see a body. In tv/film world, if we are never shown a body, we can assume a character is still alive. However, theory one is just as plausible. The Tae-san we see throughout the show is the one who disappeared, but this doesn’t explain how he is able to take a picture of Tae-sul’s wedding. This is why I went with theory two because the wedding is more important than figuring out whether Tae-san is dead or alive.

Tae Sul finished the code before he killed himself.. Cz when he writes the code, the missiles are launched. Meaning the code is finished. Then he kills himself. The code now already exists.. If you like romance and sci-fi, yes. But if you want a lot of romance or more sci-fi, no, because there aren’t enough romantic scenes and the sci-fi rules are confusing. Although they both die, the last episode is still my favorite because the bad guy loses.

So i just realised after your video this show could be fixed if they showed everything in the same chronological explanation as you did. Not doing that made for a overextended convoluted plot point(s). It actually could be fixed through post production editing, they should reassemble the scenes.

@@OneInchBarrier Yeah that would be cool, or even for each timeline naming it with the name of that particular persons timeline flashing across the screen when it begins. For example calling it, "Seo haes timeline" OR colour coding each timeline. Each one having its own 'hue' maybe a blue tinge, orange tinge, gray or something to denote the timeline shift would have helped. Funny enough theres a music video that does this in a really simple fashion, it shows the peoples timeline of last nights party via various persons own perspective (Granmaster Issy - Dont get me wrong). Colour wise, Memento is a simple one to denote the past is greyscale and the present is coloured, thats an awesome movie that interweaves past and present through colour. I think if the writers are going to write it this complex and confusing making these things obvious should be a no brainer.

I just done watching this series and my cracked brain keeps saying that Tae Sul big brother might have coded the uploader after he discovered Tae Sul death, because he mentioned to Hae So that he didn't care if the world end or not, as long as his brother(Tae sul) is safe/live or something at the party when she followed him. His brother is a sweet guy but not a genius when it comes to same thing as a brain maniac will do like Tae sul did. His brother been always by Tae Sul side and the fact that he came back with the "key" in the suitcase with blue print in it, altho none is there, I keep thinking Tae sul brother Tae san might have know something how to finish the coding. I might have missed some plots on my theory so dont diss me pls.

I think Alpha timeline where Sigma timetravel to fund company and make "Time travel company", could be in the future where nothing bad happends and are main actor made Time machine (without funds) lets say in 2035 (because i like the number) and somehow Sigma finds out he make Time machine and as a child promise him he will try it first and idk is stupid i know he way first experiment of sending someone in past he has some notebook where he has all the numbers for winning and stuff and make up the company then killing main actor in church and then everything repeat again...

I thought when they were kids Tae-Sul elaborated that he was making blueprints for a time machine that goes back to the past when Won-ju asked, not that he couldn't make one that could take someone to the future. In fact, when he first learns about successful backwards time travel as an adult, he points out that it's theoretically impossible because the Second Law of Thermodynamics implies the asymmetry of time. It's not well explained how exactly the time travel to the past works, but if we go with the assumption that it's an extension of the quantum teleporter he demonstrated at the presentation, then shouldn't forward time travel be possible?
