The uncuping of the wrist makes total sense. Its how fast (with a soft hand) that you can do it. My other problem tends to be that I release the ball too late, which I feel as if I am losing ball speed and rev rate (even though as of right now I have 500+ with 17mph down lane) And analyzing the shoulders helped me too. My shoulders are flat horizontal during the downswing and at release they are also more horizontal.

Glad it helped! Yes the shoulders are huge!

You are correct the cupped un cupped it’s crucial and also keeping the arm straight I was getting very low revs and couldn’t explain why so I took videos and compare to all of the two handed pros and they all end up with arm fully extended at the time of release otherwise it’s impossible to uncup the wrist properly. Also a thing to note the closer that both hands are on the ball the more cup and the farther aparte the more straight the wrist will be

Ever since I started bowling 2 handed, I always thought I needed to keep a cupped wrist throughout the release to get that high rev rate. Awesome video, looking forward to you breaking down some more 2 handers games.

I'm glad these break downs are helping you understand the two handed style better. Thank you for watching! Kyle Troup video will be out tomorrow.

Nothing wrong with urethane, so long as it works. If it's not working, it's a bad time!

Was waiting for this video after the simo vid! I also have a straight arm swing and the common mistake that I tend to make is that I cant get it close enough to my ankle.
@BigSkyBowler Жыл бұрын
I would recommend checking your shoulders. Sounds like your letting your shoulders rotate horizontally instead of vertically
@bam5561 Жыл бұрын
@@BigSkyBowler Ok, will try this tomorrow during practice. Also, how could I release the ball sooner? Cause I feel as if I cant get my supporting hand away from the ball quick enough, causing me to sort of extend out to release the ball and not make it directly under me

This made me realize that I have been making the same mistake Svensson has, by using muscle into the backswing making my backswing more inside the head, I developed this habit as I am quite weak because I am a small dude and tend to use muscle as a tendency. Maybe I need to work on eliminating this habit of mine.

I'm glad this was able to help you. Take a look at my keys to the two handed game series for tips on how to fix this issue.

Awesome videos of breakdowns im learning 2 handed bowling so I appreciate it. Can you break down Chris Via? Unless u have already
@BigSkyBowler Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the compliment and thank you for watching and sharing! So far I've reviewed belmo and Simonson. I am actually planning on Kyle Troup next, then Chris Via followed by Packy Hanrahan and Maldonado.

What do you think about Jesper's hand position, with his fingers interlocking? I also do the same but I have never seen other pro 2 handed do the same.
@BigSkyBowler4 ай бұрын
@@juanc4681 I love it! Part of being a successful two handed is keeping your wrist under the ball at the release. The more interlaced your fingers are, the easier it is to do. You want that ball resting on your forearm through the entire swing.

Can we please get more in depth tutorial on how to uncup and come through the ball??? I thought you wanted to keep the cupped position the whole time

I can definitely do that!

@@BigSkyBowler bro thank you. You don’t know how discouraged I’ve been lately being a 2 handed bowler and feel like my rev rate sucks because I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing with my hand.

Jesper throws thane because he is a lefty with a huge rev rate. Nothing to do with his swing or rotation.
@BigSkyBowler Жыл бұрын
If only that was true. If it was, we would be seeing all high rev left handers throw urethane.
@judweber3338 Жыл бұрын
@@BigSkyBowler They do. Every high rev lefty on tour throws a ton of urethane, name one that doesn’t.
@BigSkyBowler Жыл бұрын
@@judweber3338 I'll name several, starting with Rhino Page, Ryan Ciminelli, Packy Hanrahan, Jacob Butters, Wesley Low jr... there are plenty more. Even when you look at the amateur scratch tournament side, there are several high rev left handers who throw all kinds of balls.
@judweber3338 Жыл бұрын
@@BigSkyBowler Rhino was not a high rev rate, ciminelli is very speed dominant, Packy and Butters throw purple hammers more often than they don’t, and Wesley Low is a motiv staffer. Also none of them have the rev rate that Jesper does and none of them are as good as him.
@BigSkyBowler Жыл бұрын
@@judweber3338 dude you just want to argue to argue so this conversation is over. Ciminelli is one of the highest rev one handers. Page had a 500 rev rate and still gets 400. Packy throws urethane when it works. When it doesn't he throws reactive quite well and does it with a 500 plus rev rate. Also last time I checked (30 sec ago) Page and Ciminelli both have several titles and are just as good. Page has 6, Ciminelli has 9 and jesper has 11.
