I liked the talk, this game does not pretend to be the killer of DBD, it just wants to be killer klowns the cousin of Friday the 13th, and for those of us who come from there this is crazy

You have to keep in mind any game that has such a title is only given that title by people in the community. Not the people making the game themselves. Dead by daylight is very particular, these other games that are more so direct adaptations of the movies or something completely different though they have a common link.

2 of my favorite evil dead CC together. Hope killer klowns stays and last and TCM does what they need to keep it going!! I will never go back to boring ass dbd just because its the king of assym horror

Funny because there is a reason for why DBD is king of the genre. It’s constantly has updates/DLCs, best balancing in any Asymm title, and the gameplay loop is simple and barely gets stale. These other titles do not last because they don’t utilize the IP enough and can never balance the game correctly. Even when people are telling them what needs balancing. TCM has a great gameplay loop, but is killed by its balancing and poor map design. Games rarely ever feel like a battle.its only one side dominating the other. Which ruins any sense of accomplishment or tension. F13 started strong, but was in a steep decline before the lawsuit. Due to the fact that teaming on Jason became so easy, Jason couldn’t do anything. The game started to lose players due to it losing its tension and edge. Then the lawsuit was the nail in the coffin. All these devs have to do is make something challenging. Regardless of the side you’re on. Players should feel the tension and in the end feel like they accomplished an escape. Not exploit something to bypass any challenge.

@@JoeGrizz1y true that but dbd is literally the most boring one but people play it because it's easy to understand and has the content/licenses. Lawsuit cucked Friday, evil dead devs weren't smart. So hope tcm devs are stepping it up which it seems and killer klowns knows

@@Onewolf101 TCM won’t recover. The original studio has passed the game to a smaller studio. Yes, it will still receive poorly done cosmetics and characters, but none of it is interesting. Fans beg constantly to get skins and characters from the films, but they keep releasing their own content. Like I stated before, complete failure to expand the with the IP. No one, even majority of the fans, do not care about these made up family members as killers and it shows. Without anything interesting, broken balance, and very sluggish DLC releases the game is done for. Only thing keeping the few thousand players is XBOX game pass. Which is utterly sad. That’s why it is refreshing to see Killer Clowns take the 3 killer aspect from TCM. As that was the most interesting part of the gameplay. Then mixing it with the gameplay style of F13. It’s none competitive nature may keep the game alive. At least longer than the typical Asymm titles that we have gotten in the last handful of years.

I see a lot of people saying the game will fail but killer klowns is different from the rest not because of gameplay and the fanbase for this movie is very dedicated so i feel this game will be different

Asymm titles always have their fanbase and small community unless it’s absolutely trash like Evil Dead. Sadly, those small amount of 1,000-8,000 players is sometimes not enough to keep the game running. As money drys up and support is slowed. This is why DBD has always remained. People constantly pay for thier DLC and Cosmetics which keeps support alive. Not to mention it’s always getting new players and returning players

You guys weren't "clowning" around in this podcast.....or maybe you were... -_0. Side note, I do hope Payday 3 gets itself together (as you mentioned from the profile picture the last time I commented). They going toward the right path now I see with QOL updates coming in. Also, love Texas Cripsy BBQ: The Game, all it needs is stuff to grind for. Love the game. Killer Klowns seems like they'll have stuff to grind for within the first few months. Illfonic did such a great job with Ghostbuster I still play it weekly when I can. Always something to unlock, grind for, or tenure my outfits like OldHead Gaming talked about in this podcast. Great game. With Teravision Games (main developer), and Illfonic backing it up I think we'll have the same support if not more for Killer Klowns from Outer Space. As for the "preferred" system of choosing your side. While I also would like to pick my side right off the bat, I have seen this with Ghostbusters and the preferred system. And they updated the algorithm that I'd say most of the time (if not 9 out of 10 times) I get the side I want to be. The "preferred" system of choosing side helps with matchmaking times, quues and other algorithms in place for such things. Much faster matching along with bots. And I'm pretty sure you'll be able to join mid-game so all those factors helps with matchmaking. While picking team would be "better personally", overall the "preferred matchmaking" helps with the matchmaking. But we'll see how it goes in the future. I like playing both sides in these types of games. Course sometimes I'm in the mood for one over the other, but I can deal with this preferred matchmaking. Not sure they will put to "always allow" what side, but again, they do listen to the community feedback (Illfonic does, Teravision doesn't hold a reputation yet so we'll see).

yeah i see they're doing their Operation Medic-Bag, slowly bring the game back in line with what Payday 2 was, thank god. Don't know why they strayed so far away from that in the first place.

To save money, most people buy their games digitally nowadays. Making a ton of disks could be risky.

That's when I was glad I owned a physical copy and realized that physical media will never die in my home. I'll be darned if i let these greedy game developers take my money for a product I don't truly own.

Hopeful for this one. Hey Pix I've Heard you say many times that you didn't care for F13 the game, but honestly I don't think you gave it much of a chance. In the beginning there was quite a few issues true,but take it from someone who logged a ton of hours on F13, it got much better. I think if you would have come back to it when it was actually running way better you may have enjoyed it more.Loved the video Pix, thanks for the insights. 18:45

I think it's because at the time I was playing dead by daylight and was really into that so when I tried Friday and the experiences I had with it were just bugs and lag and didn't go back to it haha. No doubt it was fun and I'd probably enjoy it now but sadly it has sailed away

38:18 so you say you can only revive 1 human with the ressurection machine but why it says here +3/+4 humans revived?

@@ItzPixel look closely up to the human counter 38:18 it says +2 after this it says +3 after this it says +4, pretty sure the humans will have a very good time in this game just press the button and fill the team up to 7 players and run to the icecream truck seems like a very easy win, 3 klowns cant stop 7 humans running to the truck at the same time + only 4 humans need to escape for the human victory so even when each klown catches 1 human they still lose.

i use my rog ally z1 extreme docked as gamingconsole dont need the consoles anymore with way to much watt wasting and overpriced forced gold/plusmemberships for beeing allowed to break out from the isolation and play online with other players this dont belongs behind a paywall. and for the balance its a lil weird to see a pan just needs 2 hits to k.o a klown, they already just 3vs7 they should atleast survive more than 2 uncharged hits.
