I heard Alor derived its nickname Alor London after the civil war… most of their people dominated in Abada(textile) business , building material all in Onitsha thereby gave them privilege to collective rural development and social welfare.

Anambra has good rural roads that connect each community...every town in Anambra is relatively developed, every town has a lot of wealthy individuals.. that's why u see every Governor trying to touch every local unlike some state that concentrate their projects in state capitals and few major towns...

@@juniorchy4563every town in igboland has wealthy men ,also most communities in igboland are relatively the same in terms of architectural landscape. The percentage may differ from town to town but relatively same. However there could be more concentration of rich men in anambra who re ready to help develop their towns unlike other parts of igboland whose wealthy men are not ready to spread their largesse beyond their immediate families. In terms of rural development I think Abia takes first followed closely by anambra while enugu could be in the third position before others . Igbo amaka ...

Beautiful Town. Alor is the brother of Ojoto and Obosi. The people are heartwarming and entrepreneurial. Erosion has always been a problem around the Obosi and Alor boundaries. But the study of the soil and combating erosion over the years has helped keep Alor. Thank you for the great video. I felt so excited like I was in the car😅 The music made me keep watching! The coutryside view at 0:42 was good. Sad that no one is using the Vocational Centre. I remember these popular places. If you enter from Nnobi, you will see Christ Holy Church (Odoziobodo), Nkwo Alor, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Igwe Okonkwo's Compound, Universal - where you can buy hot Akara, medicines and provisons, opposite it is Central School, the Primary School Alor, where I left my school bag and ran away because I was afraid of Vaccination😅, Ado Girl's- was a well attended Girls' Secondary School- with the quality of any Unity Schools in the 1980's. Then, St. Paul's Anglican Church, Alor Town Hall, etc.

I remember Power Mike, in 1998,I visited Nigeria and was robbed by the armed robbers. He came to the place I was with some people and offered me to stay in his hotel at Onitsha for free as long as I wanted. I didn’t take him up on the offer but I will always remember his kindness towards me. He was one of my heroes when I was growing up. A great wrestler and overall good guy. May his soul continue to rest in eternal peace.

Functional river port, railway, are more important. But governors of South East can liaise together and have a functional one.
@dubemellit293211 ай бұрын
No need of skyscrapers in the towns and villages. All they need are functional seaports , airports, local industries, skill centers, constant electricity, …… This Alor town is magnificent rural area, the scenery, beautiful solid houses, nice topography and greenery environment…. Good for retirement ☺️ I think I will relocate there at my retirement, get a big land for poultry and animal farming just to add value to village economy, create jobs .

@yangalife. Good morning my brother and thanks for your information which has adventedly confirmed my unbiased condemnation of chief executive officers concentrating slightly above 50% of state constructed roads in their towns only leaving out the cities and other towns that are crying for development. In concluding,the rural areas where these chief executives came from are more infrastructural developed than the major cities and major numerous semi urban towns.

😂😂😂. Someone said the road is a death trap. That road was completely cut off earlier at somewhere after Okacha junction going to Nnewi.
@uchaysammy11 ай бұрын
@@YangaLife I think 60 meters to every intersection should be widened to prevent the commercial activities of the junction from affecting traffic movement. Asides that, these are rural roads and their sizes are just perfect.

Yanga life is very correct, we should construct for the future, that road is a major road, just like awka to Onitsha, that road all the way from Awka to Nnewi, all through Owerri road to Ihiala, connecting Onitcha Owerri road.
@uchaysammy11 ай бұрын
@@OnyenwasiaMariamAyomide the number of cars does not support the need for dualization. Yes you plan for the future, but not at the expense of the present, when some don't have any. Na money cook better soup

@uchesammy, government is not proactive and futuristic. Aside serious gridlock during festivities, this is a major connecting road and should continue the way it is dualized at Nwagu, Agulu junction.
