Anybody saying that insecurity is preventing him or her from investing in South-East is not serious. Are Innoson, Ibeto and many billionaires not doing well in the zone? You are contributing to creating or hyping insecurity through your comments here. Is there any part of the world that does not have security challenges? Do you know the number of people killed daily in America? Compare it to insecurity in South-East? Even in Nigeria, the zone is among the safest. Please use your head, the problem you are saying that exists is not as bad as in other regions in Nigeria. You should enlighten yourself my brother.

South East does not need concrete road constructions, our soil is as strong as concrete itself. Let them use stone base and asphalt, we are okay with that and stop diverting attention for marginalizing the region in many ways.

Umahi is biting more than he can chew, and making a mess of everything in the road sector. 1.A country that could not pay for easier, faster asphalt roads for decades with abandoned roads everywhere want to adopt a more expensive slower concrete road. 2.A borrowing govt recklessly awarding Lagos calabar 700km road,1000km Lagos Sokoto road and calabar Abuja road all costing about N35 trillion on concrete without any money for them would lead to disaster. 3.Existing contractors handling many roads like onitsha - enugu, owerri Aba dualization,Benin lokoja, oyo ogbomosho, east west road, etc are vacating their site for lack of funds running into trillions and the minister's style of governance. Conclusion: Nothing would be achieved in 4 years but propaganda and few Lagos roads for Mr president

Good video and commentary. Minister of Works, Umahi is trying his best to get contractors to do their work well but they have been to accustomed to making easy money for doing very little and are giving him a lot of pushback and rebellion. This particular project as you know is not one where federal govt is the direct client but MTN is the client under the Tax Credit funding scheme so it must be a lot more complex for Engr. Umahi to control the project and the contractor. Like you say , I hope they can resolve whatever issues are causing the suspension of construction work without further delay.

Is Umahi incompetent or what? He keeps delaying project with politicking story of misunderstanding with contractors, redesign... Meanwhile this is the same kms that took Bar. Babajide Fashola very short period of time to complete. I am beginning to believe that professionalism is not about ones field of study but zeal to deliver. Truth be told; even the other side completed by Fashola looks more solid than what am seeing here... Except they are going to put another asphalt on it.
