Wow! This is one of the best hotels in The Maldives that I’ve seen. Pure luxury ❤️

Hi Marian! Ah yes, it’s one of our top 3 still because it’s really just spectacular. So much to do and the rooms are STUNNING. Hope to go back there soon :)

For our 20th anniversary in Sep 2024. we booked 2 nights in the regular (sunrise) water villa and 2 nights in the sunset water villa. Which villa # were you guys in and do you recommend it? Thanks for your help!
@VoyagerGuru3 ай бұрын
Hey! That sounds lovely :) the sunrise side is great especially the first few days because the sun is gone in the afternoon when you’ll want to sit in the shade. We were in Villa 344 :)

I love your videos! I am a senior and I plan on going to the Maldives either January or February 2023. I will be traveling with my adult son and staying in a overwater pool villa. I am deciding between Vakkaru, Joali, and now Kihavah. I like Milaidhoo too but my son would be bored there. Are the waters at Kihavah as crystal clear with multi shades of blue and beautiful with calm waters as Milaidhoo? Also the villas at Kihavah have dark interior wood. Does that make the villas look extremely dark inside? How long does it take to walk around the whole island? I know you have not reviewed Vakkaru or Joali. I hope you will soon. I would love to hear your thoughts on these two resorts.🤞🏾Thanks for answering all my questions. I love all your videos! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You both do the best reviews ever.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your comment!! That sounds like a WONDERFUL trip!! Kihavah and Milaidhoo are pretty close to each other in Baa Atoll so the sea life and water is essentially the same :). Baa Atoll is our favorite, thanks to the abundant sea life and access to the Manta Rays at Hanifaru Bay. You are right that Milaidhoo is a little quieter and as a family, versus a couple, Anantara is better suited for you. We have not yet been to Vakkaru or Joali, but I can genuinely say that Anantara Kihavah is extremely hard to top. The underwater restaurant, endless activities and just overall incredible amenities is unbeatable. I hope this helps!! Let me know any other questions you have!

How long does it take to walk around the whole island? Because of the dark wood in the villa does that make the villa appear very dark? Lastly how many nights minimum should we stay at Kihavah? Thanks for your responses.
@VoyagerGuru2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! So the villas are not super dark inside, but the hallway area upon entry is dark. Once in the bedroom and bathroom, it’s very light thanks to the full floor to ceiling glass doors everywhere. It takes about 30 minutes to walk around the island, depending on your pace. It’s super fun to bike around because the walkways are all windy and beautiful. I’d say a minimum of 4 nights is good to make sure it’s worth the journey and really get to relax :)

@@VoyagerGuru Thank You for your input. It is very much appreciated. I’m seriously considering Kihavah now. What are the best months to go when there’s no rain and the weather is sunny. Not too hot 🥵 and less humidity? Thanks again!
@VoyagerGuru2 жыл бұрын
Anytime!! So the summer is really the only time that is technically wet season. We’ve been across many different months and the weather honestly has been essentially the same every time. I’d say the best luck will be in the fall or spring :)

Thanks for this upload really the best video guides on Maldives resorts on youtube. We stayed at Milaidhoo last year after watching your review and were blown away. Can see the OWV room space here is not as large, the bed at Milaidhoo was so big, and the overall design near perfect. This resort looks like there's much more to do though! How would you say the 2 compare? All the best from the UK, Kain.
@VoyagerGuru2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your amazing comment, Kain!! I'm SO glad you loved Milaidhoo as much as we did- it's so great to hear what you think after going. Anantara definitely has more to do from an amenities standpoint and it's a much larger hotel. Milaidhoo has about 30 rooms, whereas Anantara has 80. Milaidhoo was truly 5 stars on every front and Anantara was pretty close. However, the butler service at Milaidhoo takes the cake. Milaidhoo is much more quiet where the main focus is couples and relaxation versus Anantara I think you get a bit more action and adventure, so ultimately it depends on what you're into. I'd say try it! The rooms aren't the same modern style, but the overwater rooms were very nice and the views are gorgeous. The underwater restaurant and spa were also fabulous.

@@VoyagerGuru thanks for reply! We would probably be returning to Milaidhoo if they allowed babies. We also went to Gili Lankanfushi which was great, but no where on the level with Milaidhoo with the service... and the bed seemed tiny in comparison lol... it's nit-picking really as any resort on Maldives is beautiful. Would you have any other recommendations in Maldives?
@VoyagerGuru2 жыл бұрын
Ahhh yes I’ve heard the same about Gili. Honestly I think Anantara will be the perfect place for you with a baby as well. The quality is extremely High overall and our butler told us about how he took care of some of his families on property and he was genuinely so caring and excited. I don’t think you’ll go wrong. The rooms are also big and very spacious for a family as well

Question... Can I bring a Drone to Pullman Maldives, Kempinski Seychelles or Palm Jumeirah in Dubai? If not, do you know if either of these 3 locations offer staff to do Photo/Drone Video sessions for their guest (at a charge of course)? Thanks for any info in advance!
@VoyagerGuru2 жыл бұрын
Hi Paula! Thanks for your comment! In Dubai, they will confiscate your drone at the airport and require you to pick it up on the way out (happened to us) unless you have a DJI Mini (under 250 grams). In the Maldives and Seychelles, most hotels have a no-drone policy. However, I would recommend contacting the hotel directly to ask if you can get permission or if they offer drone photography sessions :).

Got a question for you guys? You’ve been to tonnes of resorts in the Maldives do you prefer beach villas or Aqua villas? We just had an Aqua suite but we preferred beach villa on our trip. 1 we thought pirates would come to the villas so didn’t sleep on the first night haha 😂. We love your videos so glad you got them rolling out again also this resort with its own observatory for star gazing 😍 wow how was that we’ve always wanted to do that fascinated by the night sky. Hope you guys are having fun in Dom rep so far. Sorry about the too bit I know you said but you might of changed your minds lol 😉 great video as always guys.
@VoyagerGuru2 жыл бұрын
Hey guys! you know, it really depends on the hotel. We tend to prefer water villas naturally because they are so incredibly unique, but in a lot of cases the beach villas are larger and have beautiful bathrooms. At Anantara, both options are so incredible. I love that the water villas have windows that open up the ENTIRE room so that is incredibly unique. The beach villas have their own features, though, like the massive bathrooms and the intense privacy due to the beautiful jungle. It really comes down to what your preference is. some people just prefer the beach!

Very nice video. Can your share approximate cost of each category room. ?
@VoyagerGuru2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jalpesh! Thanks for your comment. The rate ranges depending on season (holidays, low season, etc) and room type to be honest- the easiest way to find out is to check the hotel website for a couple different dates. December/Jan are going to be quite expensive compared to may/September. You can find their rates here: www.anantara.com/en/kihavah-maldives. We find their rates direct to be the same or better than third parties

If you book the all-inclusive does the mini bar and alcohol come with it at no charge or is it separate?
@VoyagerGuru3 ай бұрын
Hey thanks so much for reaching out! I am not familiar with their all inclusive plan as that has not been available to my knowledge but some of their packages do have mini bar inclusions. If you’re looking to book anantara Kihavah feel free to DM me on Instagram or email me at team@voyagerguru.com and I can look into it! Xx maren
