Focusing after waking up in the morning is tough. One thing that helps me overcome this is your lectures. This is in addition to being highly informative.

I just discovered that the biopsy that was done 4 yrs ago was positive for scattered CD30. I was told I had Atopic dermatitis that the report stated negative. I have suffered from this rash on and off from a young teen. I am 60 yrs old now and it got so bad 5 yrs ago for over 1 almost 2 yrs I was covered all over. One doctor at the ER to treat my arm from a fall said to tell the doctors to treat me with methotrexate injection weekly. It worked for years till no doctor would prescribe it anymore . I go this week to the RA doctor and hope there is help for me. Trying to learn more about the condition.

Scattered CD30 positive cells can be seen in lots and lots of things including rashes and inflammatory skin conditions like atopic dermatitis. Please be sure to discuss your biopsy results with your dermatologist and see your dermatologist for any persistent or worsening skin condition. Best wishes for health and happiness.

@@JMGardnerMD I had been pleaged by this come and go rash. I am in Canada now seeing the RA doctor for the first time after a ton of blood test next week. The methotrexate is what suppressed my rash and gave me a new life of move abilities for years. I was in another country for almost 3 yrs and could not find the medication. Rash and pain is back. Hopefully I will finally get proper treatment.

Hi Dr Gardner, may I ask a few questions. a. Just as type 3 LyP is histologically indistinguishable from ALCL, is type 2 LyP indistinguishable from MF? b. Is type 1 LyP called "histiocytic" because the cells look like histiocytes? or is it related to a separate histiocytic infiltrate?

These are great thank you!

Wonderful video how do you differentiate between LYP and PC-ALCL? They look similar on the slides
