All movie used sound effects. Everything you hear in this was taken from Alien: Isolation. Thousands of audio files. Not a single one labeled. I had to listen to every single one. It took 7 hours to find the hyper sleep chamber opening sound effect.

I love this! THE KRAKEN WAKES has long been a favourite, and doing this live with an orchestra, like the classics of old time radio, just makes it all the better. I like the way it was updated too - sensitively, with respect for the original text. What a joy!

The best audio quality presentation of the Alien soundtrack that I think I’ve ever heard. The growling, low string foundation in Jerry Goldsmith’s disturbing score, as the camera leads us through the Nostromo’s interior at the opening of the film, always creeps me out right off.

Love your work on this audio book I went to Alien on opening nite. While standing in line to get in Talked ton guy who was seeing it for the second time that day. Asked him how was it. And he just said he would never be the same after seeing this movie And had to see it again to try and ratchenilize what he just saw. He had that blank stare like he was shell shocked. You know the 100 ysrd stare. I shrugged it off and eventually went to see it. To say i was FREAKED out after seeing it was an understatement. I was with some friends and during the ride to meet some other friends Not a word was said. As we all were trying to comprehend what we just saw. The friends we met immediately knew something was wrong with us snd all we could do waswalk around like zombies because none of us could ever explain what we just saw. The most intense movie i have ever seen And still is to this day.

Yes I have. But I am not casting these kind of projects anymore. I fully cast Aliens and all but two of the cast members stopped responding to me after I sent the script. I had terrible casting problems with Alien as well.

I painted my fridge in acrylic paints and just happened to feel it with my eyes closed just to see what sensory input I got. I was amazed because there was loads of information.... But now I need to see the interpretation of the artwork from someone blind and especially blind since foreever...if you see what I mean....

Some is rewritten to make it less a copy. But most of it is original. I wrote the scenes with Ripley in the derelict and all the dialogue with it. I changed a lot of dialogue. But of course I take no credit. Also, changing things supposedly helps keep fat rats out of your hair. 🙄

I couldn’t get my head round Ripley being played by a man, as the character is forever associated with a female protagonist. It was a bit difficult to tell some characters apart - Ripley being one of them. Yet Lambert, the only female, is played with a strong foreign accent, which seems a bit pointless. Good production overall, but some scenes would be pretty incomprehensible if you hadn’t seen the movie. For example, when the creature bursts out of Kane’s chest - why didn’t the other members of the crew react to that? One would have had to have seen the film to make sense of it.

First: The character always was male and was changed later. Second: they did this for free and did a great job. Third: My daughter was born on April 1st last year and this released 25 days later. I edited this with an infant in one arm and a mouse in the other and no headphones because I wanted to hear her breathing and kept the audio low so I didn't disturb her. Fourth: I ran out of time and they didn't do any reactions and I was honestly done with it I just wanted to hold my daughter and be with her so I literally said "fuck this I'm done, I want to be a daddy right now". Fifth: There had to be changes or else the fat rat could nibble on me. Sixth: There were nothing but problems even casting this with two people causing massive problems, one demanding money and pulling the race card if I didn't comply and the other was... a problem. So the very fact this even got done is astonishing. I fully cast Aliens, every single person I cast stopped responding to emails after I sent the script. So... 🙄

Very well done. I'm actually tempted to tackle John Carpenter's "Halloween" as an audio drama... but adapted from the 1979 novelization rather than the filmscript. That way it can expand on things as well as lend itself better to the audio format.

Ripley was written as a male character originally in an initial draft. It's a nice homage to what the film may have been .

​@@semajsemajsemaj99 well thank god it was changed to a woman or we wouldn't have the iconic Ripley of Sigourney Weaver and tbh hearing a dude trying to play the part just doesn't work and sounds weird especially when the guy sounds like he's trying to speak with marbles in his mouth I mean wtf is that about? The rest of the cast were totally fine but "Mr Ripley" sounds weird and out of place...ruined it for me
