@MostlyScifi2 One last thing. Engineers and Space Jockeys are two different species (although they looks similiar as the Jockeys created the Engineers) with a slave/master relationship. The prevailing theory that I and Project: ACHERON* agree on is that the Jockeys and Engineers are the Annunaki and Iggigi from Mesopotamian myth two races of gods that were slaves and masters. The Mesopotamia myth is echoed in ufo circles so it makes sense too from a story perspective. Anyways. The iggigi (Engineers) revolted and stole fire (the black goo) from the Annunaki (Jockeys) after they killed most of their former masters' respective race off. You'd have to watch the Alien Awakening Animated series Project: ACHERON made. (A superb fan channel with a series called Alien: Awakening animated that's ongoing... well. He and a friend (RIP Darryl) came up with the theory, but as for me? I was disgruntled from seeing prometheus and Covenant, which were horribly written movies and I accidentally stumbled on his channel in 2017. A lot of people are PISSED at Ridley for retconning the original Jockey out of Alien with a terrible stand-in, a 8 foot tall grey humanoid stock/scfi Alien concept that was wearing a biosuit. I was angered as well. I love the original Jockey and the mystery of the Alien Derelict from the first film.)

Where did you get this information from?
@sonofeyeabovealleffoff5462
@sonofeyeabovealleffoff5462 Жыл бұрын
@@mostlyscifi It's a bit of a long story... with a long response. I guess... it starts with my passion for Alien. I was more interested with the space Jockey as an 8 year old back in 95 when I was educated on what Alien was. My friend brought in a Kenner Panther Alien toy to my second grade class. I was so impressed with the toy that I endeavored to learn of Alien's Lore. When I found out about the Space Jockey I was far more interested in that aspect of Alien, and have been since. I also love HR Higer's art. Now as to where I got the information... It's not official, but there is a division in the fan base. When Scott made Prometheus.... well. It's a complete understatement from all the angry reactions on web forums dedicated to the Alien Universe that people were not happy with the Engineers and that the more artistically inclined fans (myself included) were quick to point out that the original Space Jockey made by Giger is vastly different in size and texture than the Engineer. And there's more. Prometheus was confusing and certain scenes don't add up. Like the mural chamber scene on the goo-urn chamber with the decapitated engineer. Why is the Engineer pushing some avian exoskeleton creature away on the mural? Visually a message like that comes across as "We don't need you anymore. We are the gods." In fact Ridley made Prometheus about what religion and God was. Going by that logic... and the question Elizabeth Shaw asks "Well if they made us, who made them?!?" Well it starts to look like a cycle. My point also is that if you compare the original space jockey ship in concept art from 1979 and side by side comparisons of the Engineer juggernaut, they are similiar yet differ in too many ways. The juggernaut is donut shaped whereas the original Space Jockey vessel on LV426 is wishbone shaped. The Space Jockey is more elephantine and if you look closely in its mouth there are teeth, and a tongue and it's not a space suit or helmet, it's an enormous creature that has an exoskeleton growing out of a chair. When you look at the Engineer, it's all mechanical. You can see the seams, it's a biosuit attached to a chair. It's nowhere near as creepy or big as the original. There are fans like me that despise Promethus and Covenant and have done our best to connect all the dots. Scott has not treated the franchise well. He's all but taken credit for all parties involved, artists, Giger and Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett's work on the project of Alien the franchise. He's gone senile and a lot of us feel that the story of the two most recent entries (Prometheus and Covenant) were troubled in production (especially David Spaihts' script) the divide in the fanbase is due to people scoffing at the Space Jockey just being a bland Alien in a suit. A lot of us also have come to realize that the best way to salvage the whole franchise as it's a right mess, is to have the Engineers be the misguided, rebellious creations of the Jockey race that rebelled and created Humanity. Humans in turn spurn the Engineers and now we've created David's people, androids; and he has spurned us. Project: ACHERON on KZbin is a person much like myself who sees more storytelling potential in Prometheus and Convenant that what audiences got. So he sat down with a friend and drafted Alien: Awakening animated in tribute to the now-obsolete title of the third prequel film Scott was going to make. Sadly, that friend passed away and ACHERON kept going. As of now there are six episodes. I heavily recommend going over to Project: ACHERON's channel. By the way. You'll have to manually type in Alien Awakening Animated as he's waiting to release episode 7 once he gets 50k subscribers. If you're a hardcore Alien fan like myself, then trust me. You'll LOVE his content. I DEFINITELY recommend it!

Appreciate your enthusiasm & kind efforts here on behalf of Alien fans. A short study of oration (via a .5 unit course in public speech, broadcast media, theater or any focus emphasizing speech) will enhance timing, tone, phrasing, articulation, inflection, pronunciation, characterization & more, strengthening your skill set w/minimal effort & increasing listener immersion and enjoyment.

I mention all this not as a critique but as an idea regarding taking your reading performance to the next level. Loved it. You are probably already aware of it, and i'm sure it is only due to editing the recordings into one file, but when switching scenes it would be good to have a brief pause, as sometimes it threw me off a bit when something seemed to be part of an ongoing conversation only to learn of a switch in the scene.
