A reported 30M+ in album sales is hardly considered a failure, but I would like to address the many posters here wondering why Anastacia's career "never really took off" in the US. First of all, she was first diagnosed with Crohn's disease, and then breast cancer at the age of 34 just when everything was beginning to happen. Then at 39, she she developed supraventricular tachycardia, and then in 2013, Anastacia was diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time. Unfortunately, she had the misfortune of these health problems often occurring at very crucial times in a career when an artist cannot afford to slow down their hustle. But as of today (2021), Anastacia is reportedly in very good health.

First time I heard her, in the year 2000, I thought she was Black. So loud and powerful! I was hooked immidiatly. Then I saw her on TV and I fell in true Love.
