You can imagine how much of a smart ass I felt like when the truth was discovered. My mom is witness because I wouldn’t shut up about the Romanovs so she asked what I thought. I took a moment for myself to ask myself. Then I said I doubt she survived for so & so reasons. Being a kid being that skeptical and to actually find out I was right, definitely stroked my pride. Obviously I was sad I was right but I guess I’ve always been rather logical. 🤷‍♀️

But then I learned of her fate in history in school (I even read her diary in the library) and that women tried so hard to pretend to be her, although one did fool people for a long time: Anna Anderson.

@@SweetOrangeGirl I’ve read nearly all of them. One of my favorites is Marie Antonette, Catherine the Great, Cleopatra, Sissi (Elizabeth of Austria) & Eleanor of Aquitaine. I’ve also read Kristina of Sweden, Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth Ist, Isabella, Victoria, Shandok & Nzingha. I’ve yet to read; Jahanara, Kazunomiya, Lady of Ch’iao, Weetamoo, Kaiulani, Anacaona, & Lady of Palenque.
