I love the band since the beginning with metal and have all albums. I drove from Franfurt (Germany) to Amsterdam (Netherlands) to see them years ago and it was the impressive concert I never forget. This time it was the start of the ending of my 2. great love relationship and we were together there, can’t hear the music without tears since then, but can’t wait for a new album for healing from this ending of my life. Now I know, there is a ending season for that amazing band too and I realise, since I’ve lost my partner, mother to cancer, father of my 2 girls and best girlfriend, there is nothing to wait for … only my own death, after all the visits of doctors. I‘m so alone at the end of fighting, only the love inside of me…

Love, love, love this band. They have several absolute stellar albums. "Weather Systems" and "Distant Satellites" in particular.

Nice choice of song to react to,I was at this show believe me it was pretty life changing,an emotional rollercoaster,I never seen so many people in one place so emotional,really was incredible

maybe dropping the news here but both Cavanagh brothers are releasing new music under their separate projects The Radicant and Weather Systems, which I definitely think are worth checking out

They didnt breakup, they just stopped due to lack of fund and Danny Cavanaugh health concerns.

DC made up the health concerns. Something very dodgy going on with him.

Anathema had severe financial problems due to covid leading to the cancelation of at least 11 concerts of their 2020 European tour when they already halfway through, it made a huge damage on the band. Then they only made 3 more concerts before disbanding. But it seems a new band is emerging from there, called "Weather Systems" which has at least Danny cavannagh and Daniel Cardoso from former Anathema members, there was an annoucement of John Douglas being also part of "Weather Systems" band but three years passed since then, don't know if he is still there. And most hope that if John is present maybe sooner or later his sister Lee might appear in Weather Systems eventually as well. I would say the Weather Systems may be kind of Anathema 2.0 but without Vincent Cavannagh(Danny's brother). They announced in February that the new album "ocean without a shore" would go into the final stages, maybe later this year or 2025 we might get news on that and more importantly, how it sounds.
