Excellent!! As a female, I find the lack of ego and your obvious desire to really teach so refreshing. So rare in some gun circles. I've learned so much for your vids. Thank you Reid 👍 😊

I have and like the "bowling pin" target. Can see hits clearly....day or night (flashlight). I like the triple bull idea of top being the slowest group and the lower being the fastest group and standing/kneeling/prone for each bull. Thank you for the idea of the triple bull, Reid......you're a good Man.

when i run out of targets i like to use old desk calendars you can come up with good fun games and the squares are small as it is to help with accuracy. helped me zero in my Ruger bolt gun

Reid, Long long term fan here, back when you worked for the narcissist in chief. Bud, I really miss your "The fighting mindset of our founding fathers" series... 6 parts, all stripped off of youtube. There's only one part remaining. I use to send friends the links to these videos. They were absolutely brilliant. Classroom structure, etc. Can you PLEASE do another 6 part series on this? Whoever stripped them off youtube did the community a massive disservice. People would watch these a lot. I have sent this same message 2 times.. not sure if you read comments section or not. Thanks!

I very much agree. Mix it up and it is about a balance of speed and accuracy. Emerson Knives rock. Carried one for close to two decades here and working overseas. Solid choice from a real fighter.

Right after attending Rifleman I last year I googled "Valor Ridge Targets" because I loved them. I found em on LE Targets. I bought 500, so well stocked!

most people don't come with print it on target areas so working without a target paper just shooting a blank sheet and keeping your gripping tight is the best way to do it are you at my way picking the limbs off of pine tree oronoque thing on which one in the round that's what I used to do for fun was picked limbs off of pine trees with a 22

Reid, i would really like to see a video on what you think is the best 308 battle rifle. Do you like the scar? Dpms g2 that Yager loves, or do you still think the Fal is still king?

I noticed your targets are not set as high as an average man (5'-10"). What height would you recommend for the top of the target?

Hey Reid, I was looking over the training schedule and could not see far enough in advance for my own interest. I am looking for a pistol class anywhere in January or early February 2018, plus a medical 101 class. Is it possible to book that far in advance? Thanks.
@ReidHenrichs7 жыл бұрын
We don't teach January or February. Our entire 2018 schedule is up on our website, directly linked in the description box.
I'm still miffed about the change from big dot sights. I should of followed my gut on that one.

Certainly a more accurate depiction, than the B27 Silhouette.

We used to train on the best target in LE, the TX-PT. Then we found that in the real world, officers were shooting high and missing. Now we use a B series and that doesnt happen anymore. Anatomy doesnt matter, shooting at the center of the target, however it presents, whatever shape or size it is, matters. Sorry, but no matter how hard you train, if youre able to shoot a tight, accurate group in combat, you arent running fast enough, or the target isnt much of a threat.

I've never understood the triangle over the bridge of the nose. I'm a physician and absolutely understand that a shot to the brain stem is the BEST place to put a hole in someone to incapacitate them. However, you then have a box over the heart and lungs. A hole in the heart and/or lungs will eventually incapacitate an attacker but MUCH slower than a shot to the cerebrum. Why isn't there a highlighted target over the frontal skull bones? And if we are taking anatomy why aren't shots to the pelvis more emphasized by trainers? You've got several large vessels (abdominal aorta and bilateral iliac vessels) that are going to exsanguinate an attacker almost as quickly as a shot to the aorta would and body armor typically doesn't cover the pelvis. I think the pelvis is an excellent tertiary target to train to shoot. And I definitely think shots through the frontal skull bones into the cerebrum on a forward facing attacker should be more emphasized than high center chest shots.

How much are you paying for the triple bullseye targets? You can get NRA repair centers for $.18 each if you order in bulk. So if it's more than .$54 a target for the triples you would be better off cost wise and versatility wise buying the repair centers.

Anywhere straight down the middle of the body, in a strip about 5" wide, will work too, by severing the spine. The scumbag may live, but he'll be out of the fight for the rest of his miserable life.

I can tell you, your anatomy of the heart/thoracic is off. It’s about 3” too high. That target is great for someone wearing plates but not your normal attackers. The head is fine.
