They showed us a film about driver safety when I was in army basic training. I was stationed over 2,000 miles away from my home. One of the cars had a dealer name plate on the trunk, from a local dealer near my home. Basically, I only remember how homesick I felt just seeing it and that was over 50 years ago.

A cast member of "The Waltons" is seen in the first and last scene. If you haven't seen the film, notice who buys his chair. Irony of this film, dad was a safety advisor for the telephone company.

What angers me most in this is the lack of free health care in the US. The mother having to sell the possessions & eventually the house to cover the costs of her son's treatment. In the UK all that is free.

This is too creepy, but I saw this film in high school drivers ed in 1966, give or take a year. It left me with , and I still have it at 74 years old, that old people should get off the road if they can't drive. At any speed if you're an obstacle them you're a hazard to other drivers. And I drive among other things a 170 mph Suzuki 1250 Bandit. So if I'm coming up behind you, hold your driving position because I'm probably planning my way around you. So don't decide to change lanes suddenly or you/ll probably kill me.
